Black Jackets:

Jay ( abstractjay)
Pierre ( Matedog1209)
Maurice ( tbrown_47)
Europe ( sosyomomma)

The chefs wake up bright and early for their next challenge.

Chef Ramsay: Good morning, everyone!

Everyone: Good morning chef!

Chef Ramsay: For today’s challenge, I’d like to test your palates again in this classic Hell’s Kitchen challenge... the Taste It Now Make It challenge! I have prepared a dish with mystery ingredients... in order to identify the components of this dish, you’ll have to rely on the taste! Once you think you know what the components are, you will attempt to recreate the dish perfectly. The chef who comes the closest to the correct dish will be the winner. And make sure you are CERTAIN that you have the correct protein, because you can’t win if you don’t. Good luck!

The chefs then taste the mystery dish and attempt to recreate it.

There are 4 major components of the dish. There’s the protein, the purée, the garnish and the sauce. Each chef attempts to identify each, and makes their dishes using their chosen ingredients. However... I can tell you that none of them have correctly identified all 4.

Chef Ramsay is about to taste the dishes.

Chef Ramsay: Okay... well, I’d just like to say that most of you gave valiant efforts. Let’s start off with the Garnish. All except one of you got the garnish correct, and that chef was...

...

...

...

...

...

Europe. Sorry, you’re out of the challenge.

...

That leaves Jay, Pierre and Maurice.

...

As I told you, you needed to get the protein right in order to be eligible to win. What’s interesting is, only ONE of you got the protein right. And that chef is...

...

...

...

...

...

Maurice.

...

Congratulations, you’ve won today’s challenge!

In case you’re curious, here’s how all the chefs did with their dishes.

Jay:

Pierre:

Maurice:

Chef Ramsay: Maurice, well done! For your reward today, I’ve arranged for you to have lunch with some of the most famous chefs in the world. You and I will be traveling to a five star restaurant, and you’ll get to meet each of them. Afterwards, we’ll retire in a luxurious lounge where you’ll get to have a chat one on one with me. Get changed, we’ll be leaving shortly!

Maurice heads upstairs to get ready for his amazing lunch.

Chef Ramsay: Jay, Pierre and Europe... while Maurice will be spending the day with famous chefs, you’ll be stuck here cleaning the dorms. As you can imagine, the dorms are quite messy. I need the floors vacuumed, the beds neatly folded, the bathroom scrubbed, and every single thing to be spotless. Go up to the dorms... and then start cleaning them.

Maurice spends his day with Chef Ramsay and his friends while Jay, Pierre and Europe spend the day cleaning their dorms.

-Dinner Service-

Before service, Chef Ramsay reminds the chefs that after tonight, only 2 of them will be left standing.

Tonight, Chef Ramsay will also let each chef take a turn at running the pass. Little do they know that he has planned some sabotages, anticipating to see if any of them will notice.

Here are everyone’s stations for the night.

Meat Station: Pierre
Fish Station: Europe
Garnish Station: Maurice
Appetizer Station: Jay

The first person to run the pass is Europe.

Pierre sends in a raw rack of lamb, but Europe doesn’t even notice. And when she does, she doesn’t say a word to Pierre until Chef Ramsay tells her to. Chef Ramsay has given her Vocalness a score from 1 to 10.

Chef Ramsay has also planned sabotages, and Europe does fairly well with them all. Here are Europe’s total stats for the night.

Europe’s Vocalness: 1/10

Sabotage 1-Notices
Sabotage 2-Notices
Sabotage 3-Notices

Up next to run the pass is Pierre. He does a respectable job, and he is very vocal. He points out that Maurice wasn’t listening to him, and makes it clear that he doesn’t want to be misheard again.

When Chef Ramsay presents his planned sabotages, Pierre notices each and every one of them. Pierre has a respectable performance running the pass.

Pierre’s Vocalness: 7/10

Sabotage 1-Notices
Sabotage 2-Notices
Sabotage 3-Notices

The next person to run the pass is Jay. He is somewhat vocal, but nowhere near as vocal as he was last night. Still, his voice is definitely being heard in the kitchen.

When Chef Ramsay puts his sabotages in front of him, Jay doesn’t notice at all.

Jay’s Vocalness: 5/10

Sabotage 1-Doesn’t Notice
Sabotage 2-Doesn’t Notice
Sabotage 3-Doesn’t Notice

The final person to run the pass is Maurice. He has the most vocal performance of the night, making it clear that Pierre has sent in another raw rack of lamb.

Maurice notices most of the sabotages, but not all of them catch his eye...

Maurice’s Vocalness: 9/10

Sabotage 1-Notices
Sabotage 2-Doesn’t Notice
Sabotage 3-Notices

After this, dinner service goes smoothly. Chef Ramsay meets with all of the chefs afterward.

Chef Ramsay: Tonight may have been one of the best services so far in this competition. I have the right final 4, I know that... but only 2 of you can advance to the finals. I’d like you to go back up to the dorms, and I want each of you to individually think about the one person who doesn’t deserve a spot in the finale.

The final 4 head up to the dorms and state  to their fellow chefs why they should be in the finale, but you can tell all 4 of them are being considered...

-Elimination Ceremony-

The chefs meet with Chef Ramsay.

Chef Ramsay: I look at the 4 of you, and I see 4 incredible chefs... but tonight, I have to say goodby to 2 of you. This is difficult. Jay, who have you decided does NOT deserve a spot in the finale?

Jay: I don’t think...

...

...

...

...

...

Europe should be in the finale, chef. She’s an amazing cook, but she hasn’t really shown any great leadership qualities.

Chef Ramsay: Interesting... Pierre, you do YOU think doesn’t deserve a spot in the finals?

Pierre: I think...

...

...

...

...

...

Maurice should not be in the finals, chef. He’s been consistent in the kitchen, but he has a hard time listening to others, and I don’t think that’s something a Head Chef should struggle with.

Chef Ramsay: Okay... Maurice, who is it for you?

Maurice: The person who I think should be be in the finals is...

...

...

...

...

...

Pierre, chef. He makes a good leader, but I think out of all of us, he’s been the most inconsistent throughout this whole competition.

Chef Ramsay: Okay... Europe, who do YOU think shouldn’t be in the finals?

Europe: For me, that person is...

...

...

...

...

...

Jay, chef. He’s been struggling a lot lately, and I believe a Head Chef should be able to work under pressure. Jay doesn’t seem to be able to do that.

Chef Ramsay: Interesting... thank you all for your feedback. I just want you all to know this was an incredibly difficult decision for me to make... but I know who should be moving on.

The camera cuts to a close up of all 4 chefs.

Chef Ramsay: The first person... who will NOT be advancing to the finals...

...

...

...

...

...

Europe.

Europe suddenly looks disappointed.

Chef Ramsay: Come here, young lady.

Europe walks up to Chef Ramsay.

Chef Ramsay: Let me tell you something... you are a self proclaimed Instagram Chef. Something that isn’t even a real cooking occupation. And yet... you cook as if you’ve been an executive chef for years. You’re only 21! You have been an incredible competitor... but unfortunately, I know you’re not ready to be a head chef. Promise me you won’t stop cooking.

Europe: Of course not chef! It was an absolute honor to cook for you.

Chef Ramsay: It was an honor to have you here. You jacket, please.

Europe hands Chef Ramsay her jacket. The two have a brief hug, and then Europe leaves Hell’s Kitchen.

Chef Ramsay: Jay... Pierre... Maurice... two of you are headed to the finale! However, one of you will be going home. All three of you are phenomenal chefs... and this was an incredibly hard decision.

Two screens are suddenly lifted down from the ceiling until they are at the level of Chef Ramsay’s head, one on each side of him. They both have the Hell’s Kitchen logo on them.

There is a camera close up of Jay, Pierre and Maurice.

Chef Ramsay: The first person... who will be ADVANCING to the finale...

(Maurice suddenly appears on the left screen)

Maurice!

Maurice suddenly lets out a sign of relief and happiness. He looks like he’s extremely happy and overwhelmed.

Chef Ramsay: Maurice, you have been one of the front runners to win this whole thing since Day 1. On both the Blue Team AND the Red Team, you shined as not only a chef, but as a leader. I’m not surprised you’re in the finale... because you definitely deserve it.

Maurice: Thank you so much chef... I’m so happy right now!

Chef Ramsay: You should be!

Jay and Pierre are now looking at each other, giving each other nods symbolizing wishes of good luck.

Chef Ramsay: Jay... Pierre... only one of you can move on to the finals with Maurice... the other will be going home.

The camera cuts to Jay and Pierre, awaiting to hear their fates.

Chef Ramsay: The person... who will be JOINING Maurice in the finals...

(Pierre suddenly appears on the right screen)

Pierre!

Pierre collapses out of nervousness, now feeling relieved. He looks so happy, he is nearly crying. Jay, meanwhile, looks devastated.

Chef Ramsay: Pierre... you are a natural born leader. You have been able to impress me with your cooking time and time again... and you have proven to me that you definitely can command a kitchen. That is why you’re in the final 2 right now.

Pierre: Thank you chef, I... I don’t know what to say...

Chef Ramsay: You don’t have to say anything... just enjoy this moment! You deserve it.

Jay now looks at Chef Ramsay with a look of defeat and acceptance on his face.

Chef Ramsay: Jay... step forward, please.

Jay walks up to Chef Ramsay.

Chef Ramsay: Young man... you are one of the most reserved chefs I’ve ever seen. You have a lot of passion, and you have a lot of heart. And you definitely CAN cook. But you aren’t ready to be a Head Chef.

Jay: Understood, chef. Thank you so much for this opportunity, it was an absolute honor to cook for you.

Chef Ramsay: Promise me you won’t stop.

Jay: Definitely not, chef. If anything, this whole experience is just motivating me to cook more.

Chef Ramsay: I’m glad to hear it! Now please... give me your jacket.

Jay takes his jacket off and hands it to Chef Ramsay. He shakes his hand, gives him a hug, thanks him one last time, and leaves Hell’s Kitchen.

Maurice and Pierre and the last 2 chefs standing.

Chef Ramsay: Maurice... Pierre... one of you is going to be the next Head Chef at the Pink Willow Boulevard in Los Angeles, with a salary of a quarter of a million dollars! There’s still so much to do... you have to plan your menus for the final diner service, assign stations, assemble your brigade... but for now, just enjoy the moment. You two earned your places in the finale, and I could honestly see either of you winning. Be prepared for tomorrow, is that clear?

Maurice: Yes, chef!

Pierre: Yes, chef!

Chef Ramsay: Get out of here. And congratulations!

Maurice and Pierre head up to their dorms for the night.

As Chef Ramsay walks up to his office, his voice can be heard narrating the scene.

“Europe and Jay are both incredible chefs who will have amazing culinary careers, but it was clear that they just weren’t as vocal or as experienced as my final 2.”

Chef Ramsay hangs Europe and Jay’s jackets, and their pictures burn up.
