Today, there’s going to be a bunch more death and destruction.
Let’s see how things will play out on the second day.
-Restlessly Awake-
Jaxine has been up all night while all the careers are heavily sleeping. She couldn’t sleep after what she witnessed last night.
However... now Jaxine has a chance to escape from the careers.
It’s morning, and the sun is barely up.
Jaxine knows that if she wants to escape, she has to get out of there before any of them wake up.
Very carefully, she stands up. She then takes the smallest and the lightest footsteps away from the career camp.
At one point, Sugar and Hans react to the noises, but neither of them wake up completely.
Eventually, Jaxine is able to sneak away from the career pack with her own weapons and supplies.
Little does she know, however, that one of the careers was secretly awake and watched her escape.
As soon as Jaxine is out in the palm tree woods, she takes a deep breath and begins walking away.
At one point, she stops to decide where to go next.
As she is looking around, however, she can feel something drop on her shoulders.
She falls to the ground and looks up to see someone attacking her. She sees this person is holding a knife, and is about to stick it in her throat.
Jaxine is able to use her strength to keep the knife from making impact.
Soon enough, Jaxine is able to overpower her attacker.
She can now see that the person who attacked her is Glamour, the girl from District 8.
As Jaxine is staring at Glamour, she pauses for a moment, because she doesn’t really wanna make the kill.
Glamour looks confused, but uses the opportunity to gain back power in this power struggle. Glamour is now winning the fight, when she can hear something slicing in the background.
Glamour pauses for a moment, and then comes up with a plan.
She immediately picks Jaxine back up to her feet, and sticks the knife up against her throat.
She turns around holding Jaxine as a hostage to see Samuel, who was awake to witness Jaxine leaving and had followed her out here.
Glamour: You try anything, and I’ll cut her throat!
Jaxine nervously looks at Samuel. Samuel just stands there in silence.
Glamour: Aren’t you gonna say anything? Speak! Or I’ll kill her!
Samuel, for the first time since he won the process, speaks up.
Samuel: Do it. I don’t care.
After Jaxine hears this, she immediately elbows Glamour hard, and narrowly escapes her knife.
Glamour tries to reclaim her hostage, but Samuel takes advantage of the opportunity and charges at Glamour.
They both go down to the ground, and Samuel is a lot stronger than Jaxine was. He’s able to overpower Glamour easily, and has claimed her knife, preparing to kill her with it. She tries to push his hand away as it slowly dives down toward her, but she clearly isn’t strong enough.
Until...
BOOM!
Glamour can suddenly feel Samuel’s arm lose all of it’s strength.
She then notices that Samuel has an axe in his head.
She pushes Samuel’s body out of the way to see Jaxine standing behind him.
Confused, Glamour backs up. Jaxine notices and tries to act reassuring.
Jaxine: Stop! I’m not trying to hurt you!
Glamour: You... you killed another career...
Jaxine: Listen... I’ve realized over the past couple of weeks that I should have never volunteered for these games. I’m just... I’m not a psychotic killer like them.
Glamour: I... I don’t think I believe you.
Jaxine: I just saved your life! If I was lying, would I really have saved you?
Glamour looks like she’s stumped.
Jaxine: Listen, if you don’t wanna see me again, that’s fine. But I’m not gonna try to kill you.
Jaxine begins to walk away. Glamour then comes to a realization.
Glamour: Wait!
Jaxine stops and turns around.
Glamour: I-I believe you.
Jaxine just stands there and looks at her.
Glamour: I... I think we would have a better chance of staying alive if we... you know... work together. What do you say.
Jaxine considers her options. She then shrugs.
Jaxine: Oh alright. What the hell.
The two then decide on a place to go, and they run off together.
-Something Washed Ashore-
Tee, Eisha and Maddox have been camping out on the beach. It’s pretty early in the morning when Eisha is the first of the three to wake up.
Eisha decides to walk barefoot into the sea, to enjoy whatever moments she may have left in this life.
Eisha is enjoying herself when Tee and Maddox wake up.
Tee: What are you doing?
Eisha: Just enjoying the feel of the water! You should come too!
Maddox: Are you sure it’s safe? We don’t know what the capitol put in there... or what may be in it.
Eisha: I’m sure it’s fine! What’s wrong with a little wa- AH!
Suddenly, Eisha can feel something biting her foot.
She reaches into the water and pulls a giant leech off of her foot.
Tee: See? You should get out of there! Who knows how many more of those things are in there?
Eisha: Yeah, y-you’re... uh... right. I should... uh...
Eisha suddenly finds herself feeling dizzy.
Suddenly, that dizziness slowly turns into aching pain.
Maddox: Eisha?
Suddenly, Eisha’s veins become visible, and change into a purple color. Her skin is also turning a bright red.
Tee: Maddox...
Maddox: Yeah?
Tee: I don’t think those are normal leeches...
An announcement is made to all of the viewers at home, which the tributes cannot hear.
Announcer: Those are a special species of leeches developed by the capitiol called “Sand Leeches”. The capitol decided to put a bunch of those in the water to add an extra obstacle for our tributes. A single bite can cause death within 2 minutes... only in rare cases can a human being survive one.
Eisha can feel her entire body burning with pain. She can feel her throat closing in, and she is suddenly struggling to breath.
Tee and Maddox watch in terror as Eisha’s skin becomes redder, her veins become purpler, and her eyes start to loose color. After a while, Eisha drops into the water and begins floating.
BOOM!
Tee: Get away from the water!
Tee and Maddox run away from the seawater and away from Eisha’s horrifying corpse.
-Investigation-
In the middle of the forest, The careers have discovered that Samuel has been murdered. They can also see that Jaxine has gone missing.
Luka: How did this happen?
Hans: My guess is someone from another district came to our camp and stole our supplies. Samuel tried to stop them, but they apparently knew what they were doing in the fight.
Anna: Okay... but how does that explain why Jaxine went missing?
Sugar: She probably got killed too! Then they retrieved her body before anyone could find it.
Everest: Then why is Samuel’s body still here?!
The five careers argue for quite some time until Everest decides he has had enough.
Everest: You know what? You all are worthless! I’m gonna find out who did this myself!
Everest then runs off from the career pack.
Luka: Hey wait! You can’t do that, you’ll die too!
Luka then runs after them.
Sugar, Hans and Anna are left alone.
Anna looks at Hans as if she’s signaling something, but Hans nods his head and quietly mouths the words “not yet”.
Sugar is unaware of this.
-An Unlikely Alliance-
John has been trying to track down the careers to get revenge for Ashleigh’s death. He hasn’t had any luck all day, but he now can hear the sound of people arguing.
He listens closer and hears the sound of 2 people running off.
He runs after them armed with only a knife, but he doesn’t seem to be finding anyone.
Until... he runs into someone he didn’t expect to run into.

It’s Smithson.
Smithson stares at John for a moment, and then raises a knife.
John: Whoa! I don’t want any trouble!
Smithson lowers his knife.
Smithson: What are you doing anyway?
John: I’m hunting down the careers.
Smithson: Wh-what? Are you insane?
John: They killed the love of my life... I have to avenge her death.
Smithson almost laughs.
Smithson: Look buddy, I’m sorry about your girlfriend, but trying to kill all of the careers by yourself is a suicide attempt.
John: Well... don’t you wanna get out of here?
Smithson: Of course. Why?
John: If you wanna get out of here, you’re gonna have to kill them at some point.
Smithson: Or... we could just wait it out. And then some of them die from natural causes, like hunger.
John: You know that’s unlikely. Look... even if I die, I can’t live knowing I did nothing to avenge the death of my best friend. I have to try.
He begins walking off.
Smithson: Wait... I still can’t let you do that on your own.
John has a look of disgust on his face.
Smithson: Which is why I’m gonna try to help you.
John then looks confused.
John: I can’t let you do that. We don’t even know each other that well, and this should really be MY mission...
Smithson: If you try to kill them by yourself, you’ll be dead before you land a scratch. You’ll have a better chance if someone helps you.
John: But... why would you want to help ME?
Smithson: Well... like you said, to increase our chances of survival, the careers have to die so one of us can live. So... what the hell?
John smiles.
The two walk off together as the sun begins to set.
-The Midnight Visitor-
Jaxine and Glamour have set up a camp in a nice quiet part of the woods.
Jaxine: Okay... I’ll keep watch as you sleep, and then after a few hours I’ll wake you up so I can get some sleep too.
Glamour: I don’t know... it seems complicated.
Jaxine: Well... you got any better ideas? It would be a really bad idea for us both to be sleeping at the same time. Who knows what could happen while we sleep...
As Jaxine is talking, the fallen tributes are projected in the sky.
The Boy from District 4
The Girl from District 9
Glamour: Weird... only two people died today?
Jaxine: Seems like it. Okay, you should get some sleep. We’re going to need as much of it as we can.
Glamour then shuts her eyes, and drifts off...
She has been sleeping for only a couple hours when she is woken up.
Jaxine: Glamour, wake up! This is serious!
Glamour: Wha-what’s wrong?
Jaxine: Someone’s coming, we need to hide!

End of Day 2!
Only 2 tributes died today... but I plan to make up for that by giving you guys a lot more death in tomorrow’s episode!
Will Smithson and John be able to kill any of the careers?
What will Tee and Maddox do now knowing there are toxic creatures in the sea?
Will Everest and Luka track down the person who killed their ally?
And will Jaxine and Glamour be able to hide before it’s too late?
All of these questions will be answered when the Hunger Games 105 continues!
