20 chefs from all different walks of life came to Hell’s Kitchen believing they had what it took to become Gordon Ramsay’s next Head Chef. They were soon introduced to the prize restaurant… El Mirage, all the way in Atlantic City.
They were tested beyond their limits. They experienced difficult challenges, luxurious rewards and excruciating punishments. Every night, they had to give it their all in dinner service or risk going up for elimination.
The journey has been difficult, and 18 chefs have chefs have fallen victim to the pressure… but among the chaos, 2 chefs have risen from the trenches as the best of the best.
The first finalist, Dani, is a 21-year-old private chef who has shown talent and skill beyond her years. Even though she was the youngest chef in the competition, she stood out as one of the strongest and most mature chefs in the kitchen, which secured her spot in the final 2.
Her opponent, Ryan, is a 27-year-old sous chef who has proven himself time and time again with his cooking skills and level head. He’s been one of the most consistent chefs in the competition, earning him the second spot in the finals.
These 2 incredible chefs will give it everything they have in the final dinner service, but in the end only one will be crowned as the winner of Hell’s Kitchen and claim the head chef position at El Mirage in Atlantic City. The final 2 have spent the entire night planning out their menus. All they can think about is what they’re going to serve during the final dinner service.
However, morning soon comes. The finalists are told to meet Chef Ramsay outside. They are instructed to not wear their chef jackets and instead dress in casual attire.
Chef Ramsay: Hello, finalists! Today, I thought we’d celebrate your successes by going to a broadway production! My treat!
The chefs seem suspicious, but also excited by this news.
Chef Ramsay: We won’t be going there in a limo, however. We’re going there by helicopter! It’s waiting for us on the roof! What are we waiting for? Let’s go!
The chefs are excited by this news. They along with Chef Ramsay fly to a luxurious auditorium and are seated in VIP seats.
As the curtains begin to open, they soon realize they aren’t here to watch a broadway play.

Ryan’s First Dish: I love the taste of it, but it’s a little too sweet for my liking… so I’ll give it a 7.

Zlata’s setback on garnishes has allowed Dani’s Kitchen an opportunity to catch up. They finally get past appetizers, however… Jorge ends up having a setback on garnishes of his own. He ends up butchering 2 of them while Chris also sends in an undercooked chicken, ruining the Dani’s opportunity to catch up with Ryan.
However… both kitchens end up having problems on their fish station. Chef Ramsay notices and decides to give some advice to the final 2.

After Ryan’s check-in with Corrin’s undercooked fish, the rest of his kitchen’s food comes out without any problems. Ryan’s Kitchen has become one of the most flawless services throughout the entire competition.
Dani’s Kitchen takes a little longer to finish, however. Even after Dani’s intervention, Lee sends in 2 more raw fish. Dani’s Kitchen ends up finishing service plenty of tickets after Ryan’s Kitchen.
However, both kitchens do come to a strong finish. Throughout the service, Chef Ramsay judged each finalist based on their leadership multiple times out of 10. Here’s how they scored throughout the night.

Chef Ramsay: Thank you both for meeting with me… and for an incredible service. You both were amazing leaders tonight, and I’m sure either of you would go a great job as my Head Chef. However, I can only award the position to one of you. I want you both to know that it was incredibly close. You’ve both been absolutely phenomenal.

Chef Ramsay: The chef who’s door opens will become the winner of Hell’s Kitchen… and will receive the Head Chef position at El Mirage in Atlantic City with a salary of a quarter of a million dollars.

【After Chef Ramsay comforts Dani, she walks out to the dining room to hug Ryan, who is still in shock that his door opened. He is trying to contain his looks of surprise, but he is beginning to feel a series of emotions that causes him to collapse. As Dani is hugging him and congratulating him, they both make their way downstairs with Chef Ramsay.】

Chef Ramsay: Ladies and gentlemen… may I present your Hell’s Kitchen winner, Ryan!
【Everyone claps and cheers for Ryan. In his toast, he thanks his brigade of chefs for not only supporting him tonight, but throughout the entire competition. He then goes on to say that this was all for his daughter and that he’s happy to now give her a better life.】

“Ryan was one of the most reserved individuals in this competition, but as I challenged him to find his voice, he began emerging as a strong leader. He’s passionate, cool-headed, and has an incredible palate. He has all the qualities I’m looking for in a Head Chef, and that’s why I’ve decided to send him to Atlantic City.”
【The night ends with Ryan hanging his picture on the Hell’s Kitchen Hall of Fame, next to the pictures of Dex, Pierre and Assi, the three previous winners.】
