The chefs were challenged to make a creative slider, being told that the best would be featured in a famous cooking magazine. Even though Ryan and Chris delivered perfectly cooked sliders, they were overlooked by the presentation of Cleo, Zlata and Dani’s dishes. Ultimately, the best slider belonged to Zlata, and she ultimately won the challenge as well as the spot in the famous food magazine.
In dinner service, the chefs attempted to replicate the success of their previous service… but failed miserably. Every station ended up having issues. A disappointed Chef Ramsay asked the Black Jackets to nominate 2 chefs for elimination based on everything that had happened in the competition so far.
At elimination, the Black Jackets nominated Dani and Chris… but Chef Ramsay didn’t agree with the nominations at all. Instead, he found that the two more fitting nominees were Gigi and Zlata. In the end, Chef Ramsay said goodbye to Gigi, and ended her dream of becoming head chef at El Mirage in Atlantic City and winning Hell’s Kitchen.

At first glance, it seems as if this service should be easier than the ones we’ve had, but there have been family nights in Hell’s Kitchen where chefs completely lose their consistency and turn into disaster. The chefs watch as Dani is comforted by her family. Suddenly, another man and woman walk in, but this time the woman is holding a little girl who looks to be about 5. Ryan excitedly runs down to hug them.
Chef Ramsay: Ryan, we’ve brought your brother Giovanni, your wife Kathy, and your daughter Avery!
The chefs have caught on to what’s happening now. Another young man walks into Hell’s Kitchen, but this time with an older woman. Cleo is the one to run down and hug them, but she also ends up kissing the young man.
Chef Ramsay: Cleo, it’s your mother Elizabeth and your boyfriend Thomas!
A man in his 30’s walks in along with what looks to be a 13 year old boy. Zlata goes down to hug them.
Chef Ramsay: Zlata, we have your husband Christian and your son Eric!
Finally, an older woman and a young man enter Hell’s Kitchen. Chris greets them with a hug.
Chef Ramsay: Last but not least, Chris, we have your mother Ida and your brother Greg!
The chefs each spend time with their loved ones and walk them through what their Hell’s Kitchen journey has been like. Eventually, Chef Ramsay announces that it’s time for the chefs to say goodbye to their loved ones.
Chef Ramsay: Right… you all got to spend time with your families, and now I hope you’re all inspired to give it your all in tonight’s special family service! We’re starting in just a few minutes, so get on your stations!

Zlata and Cleo step forward to face Chef Ramsay. Chef Ramsay asks them both why they don’t seem to be as consistent as the other chefs, but they both respond by saying that they can be flustered at times but always bounce back. They also say that they both have shown great leadership skills and that they are the best leader in this competition.

Chef Ramsay: Let me tell you something… you can absolutely cook. There’s no doubt about that. However, you’ve been incredibly inconsistent, and I am not prepared to see you up there one more time. Please give me your jacket.
Zlata takes her jacket off and gives it to Chef Ramsay.
Chef Ramsay: Don’t stop. You’ve got talent, and your career is gonna take off. I know it.
Zlata: Thank you, chef, for everything.
Zlata hugs Chef Ramsay and leaves Hell’s Kitchen.

Chef Ramsay: This competition started off with 20 chefs… now only 4 chefs remain. The end is in sight, so if I were you… I’d be finding ways to separate myself from the competition. We’re in the homestretch now, and the finals are in sight. Get out of here.
The chefs then head upstairs for bed. As Chef Ramsay walks up to his office, he narrated a comment on Zlata’s elimination.
“Zlata is a talented chef who has enough drive and passion to carry her far in her career. Unfortunately, it won’t be carrying her to Atlantic City as my head chef.”
Chef Ramsay hangs Zlata’s jacket, and her picture burns up.
Chef Ramsay challenges the final 4 to become teachers when he has them each coach one Hell’s Kitchen waiter who has never been in the kitchen before to recreate a stunning dish. Which of the chefs will rise to the challenge and become the teacher that Chef Ramsay is looking for.
Then, it’s the semi-final dinner service that will decide who makes it to the finale. Each of the remaining chefs will take a turn running the pass, and afterward Chef Ramsay will decide which 2 chefs will advance to the finale while the other 2 chefs will be going home.
