We’re nearing the end of this contest, but also the end of the year, and I want to celebrate the end of this god awful year just like the rest of you. Imagine right now that it is December 31st, 2020, and the clock is at 11:55PM. You only have time to listen to one more song before the beginning of 2021, but what will that song be? Well, you tell me! For this category, I want you to submit the last song you’d want to play before entering 2021. I wanted to give you all a category that will leave a lot of room for interpretation, because quite frankly you could put nearly any song in this category. However, along with your song this week, I also want a quick explanation as to why you have chosen the song that you did. Is your song going to be a big fuck you to 2020? Is your song going to inspire hope for you in 2021? Your reasoning doesn’t need to be super profound or anything, but I just want to see how you interpret this theme and tie it to your selection. A sentence or two will suffice.

this was probably my song of the year. I think its uplifting n makes me wanna dance and be happy and that's what I want from 2021.
I want the last song of 2020 to feel like a party we missed out on throughout the year, and in this scenario I’m imagining I’m with my friends at this moment, and I feel like we’d all fucking bop to this song cuz it’s upbeat and positive and tells a good message and leaves us with hope for 2021 while leaving on a party in 2020 :)
This song is 2020 in a nutshell. Our current situation had us stressed tf out about how we are going to make ends met. When the pandemic hit my job closed down and I even thought i had money saved up i was still under alot of uncertainty. I had to move back home luckly I found another job quickly and kept going to school but i cant imagine people who didnt have that option must of been going through.
2020 has been a year of self love, due to repeated national lockdowns and social distancing - there has been no time for dating or shagging, just fantasising ;) <3
This song is old as fuck but the message is perfect for New Year's and it still gets a lot of play in South Korea every January 1st when ppl play it to set the tone of the year! I had this on as we ushered in 2020 and I'll play it again for 2021 ^_^ hopefully i dont jinx the year again
