You can fight the ticket in court. Since the police officer didn’t ask you for a statement which is illegal. You can go after the officer...now the driver if they can prove he’s mentally unfit to be on the rod you can win but most likely not. And they can look up your insurance through your drivers license but always good to have the card. So I’d just fight the ticket and explain to your insurance the situation and on how the officer never asked you for a statement so your insurance don’t get jacked up
Years ago I got into a car accident and the driver in front of me didn’t have insurance and wanted to get into an accident so he can claim insurance money from my insurance. He told the officer that and the guy didn’t get jacked he was stuck with everyone’s medical bills that was involved in the accident (5 people total) and my bill was $1200 included the $800 ambulance ride. And his wages were garnished because he had to pay grievance to everyone.
That really sucks, EmzThorne. I had a similar experience where someone side-swiped me and the cop spoke to them only, then gave me the ticket, and would not take a written statement from me. If I hadn't been moving out of that state in a few weeks, I definitely would have decided to go to court. GL with that.
i was in a car accident last year and was hit in the ass. and then hit another car because said car hit me in the ass. my settlement was $16k. Being a bottom does pay off
