Hello hello hello! We wanna wilkyum – welcome you to this week’s edition of Fashion Photo Ruvieeew! I’m back looking at the outfits from the main stage of All Stars of Omen’s Drag Race! This challenge was to serve looks inspired by different art movements, so let’s get into it.
First up, Eden Gardens, giving us symbolism - https://imgur.com/a/rzfmQmK
Oooh, this is really cool, and bursting with symbolism. The snake is really cool, the gothic dress and mug are really different, and I love the flower crown. The ball and chain and her poses are really giving me emotion. TOOT.
Next we have Kamera, serving Cubism - https://imgur.com/a/AZmjdtr
Hmm, I don’t know how I feel about this. The look is really cool and probably perfect for another theme but it’s just not giving me cubism at all. It’s a bit busy as well – the stars and the two moons and the bubbles and the tape, it’s all a bit crazy and not in the way the theme wanted. Also the gold necklace doesn’t fit in at all. BOOT.

I don’t know about this either. It’s less ancient art, more just ancient fashion. I would have made myself into a statue or just a wall of hieroglyphs, whereas this is just an Egyptian queen look and nothing I haven’t seen on Horrible Histories before. BOOT.

These are seriously bad. Dada is such a good theme, she could have been as nonsensical and wacky as she wanted, and instead she has a really basic black and yellow dress> I mean the hair is kinda on theme but it doesn’t look good lol. When you’re drawing by hand, you can literally design anything with no constraints, but this is just really basic and doesn’t fit the theme at all. BOOT.
Next we have Aishah Ali who is giving us Romanticism - https://imgur.com/a/lpnzftw
*sighs* Oh my. This is…nothing like the theme? The only things similar to the painting she’s took inspiration from are the colours. She looks more New Romantic than anything else. Flared trousers, a big bun, and a gold boa are not Romanticism. Is disco Aishah’s idea of classical? BOOT.

Now this is better! Miracle has hit the nail on the head here. The headpiece is gorgeous, the neckpiece is fierce, the outfit is just spot on. Even the mug just screams abstract art. I’d maybe want a bit more of a equal distribution of colour, it’s completely greyscale about the shoulders. I love the heels as well, perfect for this look. TOOT.

This is quite cool. I like her body paint and bold colours. The text box is a bit clunky on the dress but I like the reveal, although I might have had the speech bubble pointing at the mouth more. I also would have used more polka dots as they were a big part of this art style. But overall, TOOT.
Next is Kiki Danger with Medieval Art - https://imgur.com/a/uW6oh9o
I get the feeling she researched this, saw the word “gothic” and completely misinterpreted what that meant, thinking about Evanescence instead of medieval eastern Germany. This is a cool look, and again would have been perfect for something else, but is totally wrong for this theme. I would have went with some Christian art, like a big seraph with huge wings or something inspired by the Virgin Mary, as Christianity makes up most of what we consider medieval art. This is not that, so BOOT.
Last but not least is Pamela, giving us Futurism: https://youtu.be/kuA_pd0J0NM
So Futurist art often portrays speed and movement, so it’s fitting that this whole outfit moves as she walks. The design is mort like Futurist architecture than art but I’ll allow that. I’m not sure the top half fits the theme much either, it’s a bit more art deco Sauron than anything else. But the rest is cool, so it gets a TOOT.
My top toot of the week is: Miracle Monroe! Abstract, and that’s a fact. Hope I don’t contract when I get bare-backed or otherwise perform a sex act, but I’m getting side-tracked, so I’ll just redact, and watch Contact with the window cracked while I interact with a guy who’s packed.
