As the sun rises on the city, five moving trucks park in front of a large house on a hill and a few moments later, a white stretch limo pulls up behind them. The front driver door opens and a smartly dressed Caleb gets out, smoothing his clothes down before he goes to the back passenger door of the limo and opens it. Out steps a youthful looking man in a snappy suit. Caleb smiles and says, "Welcome to paradise, Marwan." Marwan smirks, complains of the cold, and then tells Caleb to start coordinating the move-in because he has to go sit in the limo where it's warm so he can finalize plans for his neighborhood charity party. And without another word, Marwan goes back inside his limo and begins sending out a voice group text to John, Eric, Ethan, and Sandy, who are in his 'planning group.' He demands that they wake up immediately and get on Google Hangout to talk...
Over in a mansion just down the block from Marwan's, Sandy and Dev are asleep on twin futons after having a sleepover/Roblox gaming binge. They combined said gaming binge with eating junky food, drinking slurpees, and watching endless seasons of their favorite shows on Hulu. They are knackered because they only fell asleep an hour before and all of a sudden, their phones begin to ring loudly. Sandy groans and doesn't wake, but Dev wakes, answers the phone, and wants to know who is calling when they just went to bed an hour ago. Marwan is amused and impressed, asking if they were working all night? Dev lies and says, "Of course, of course." Marwan chuckles and says he looks forward to seeing them at his event in two days and tells them it's a black tie formal gathering. Dev says to text the details and he will pass them on to his associates. Marwan agrees and ends the conversation abruptly. Dev finds the whole thing amusing and begins texting the other 'regular' Housewives while Sandy sleeps. Once Dev sends the texts out to the group, he finds himself intrigued by Marwan and calls him back. They begin talking to the point where Sandy wakes and makes Dev take the phone outside. Dev, however, isn't bothered by the request and simply lays in a deckchair facing his pool while talking on the phone with Marwan, grinning like a mischevious schoolboy.
In a seedier part of town, Corey wakes up at a bar after drinking himself into a stupor the night before and is immediately serenaded by Lilly chatting with other patrons about the breaking news report. Lilly quickly learns that Corey is awake and tells him that a billionaire moved into the city today and will be partnering with local entrepreneurs. Corey, in his hungover state, asks if the entrepreneur is cute just as he gets a group text from Dev. He looks at the text and then begins calling all of the other Housewives excitedly, leaving eager messages that they need to prep for this upcoming event together...
Back at Dev's mansion, the call between Dev and Marwan has ended and Dev is now swimming out his excitement over the call while his phone sits on the deckchair. Inside, Sandy is now reluctantly awake and sitting in a Google Hangout on his laptop with John, Eric, Ethan, and Marwan. Heather is also present on the Hangout, as she is covering the planning meeting as part of a multi-part story she is writing about how Marwan will benefit the city with his billions and his upcoming charity gathering. Marwan says that he wants a dinner, a cocktail hour, a fashion show/auction, and a dance involved in the evening and he only wants the richest invited, as he wants to be responsible for helping charity as much as possible. The connections belonging to Heather, Sandy, Eric, Ethan, and John suddenly fritz and Corey's excited, slightly nonsensical message comes through, confusing and frightening Marwan. They all erase Corey's message and Marwan wants to know the tea on who that is, as he doesn't want any rabblerousers disrupting his classy event. Horrified by the company they keep, Marwan says he has to consider if he actually wants them involved in the event now that he knows about the company they keep and abruptly ends the call just as Dev comes in. Unfortunately, Dev overhears the comment and thinks Marwan is referring to HIM. Dev begins to cry softly...
