The Frookies Arena was full of chaos and cries of war, for Christmas was on the horizon and the Tributes were being announced to the world that very night. Hash wanted so very desperately to attend the announcement gathering at Festival Square, but DaddyDev had ordered him to work late that night collecting debts that were owed by various ORG companies. Dev himself had gone home early that evening because his heart was not in work and he himself was secretly watching the announcement while enjoying a supper of mozza sticks and pink lemonade. Dev loved the Christmas Frookies, but he had suffered severe heartbreak during a past game, so his heart had grown cold and yet...he wanted to see who was stupid enough to humiliate themselves in this year's events.
When the time for the announcement finally came, Dev found himself intrigued, remembering his time in the arena as the 12 Tributes were revealed to be:
and to Dev's shock, Tribute # 12 was none other than his employee Hash Sandy Crachit! Seeing his employee on stage instead of being at work prompted Dev to swear at the TV, smash a window, and then he proceeded to eat 12 mini eclairs before hiding in his personal hot tub with a book and a bottle of non-alcoholic wine. He was depressed and angry at seeing that his employee had lied to him, gone behind his back, and had disrespected his feelings about the frookies enough to participate in them himself. Dev determined that if Sandy was going to be so wild, he was going to do what he could to help his friend win the Frookies.
With that commitment in mind, Dev tuned back into the show just in time to see Caesar Jxhn Flickermann announce that the first two Frookies nominations would take place that evening and the nominees would face trials like none had in past games. John also announced that there would be a surprise 13th Tribute and to Dev's shock, he revealed none other than Marwan 2388, Dev's former partner and secret lover from Frookies gone by! One of the Tributes, chibideidara, came forth and welcomed Marwan with a hug. Dev vowed to nominate Chibi and Hash just over their sins. He then phoned into the Games and lied that he would donate to Frookies if Hash and Chibi were declared the first nominees without voting. This lie was accepted and John announced the nominations, pointedly ignoring the protests and accusations of riggery from fans who wouldn't get to make nominations.
With the nominations decided, John ordered Hash and chibideidara arrested and thrown in prison, and declared them to be captives until the start of the Games on Christmas Day. Marwan cussed out John on television for allowing such riggery, breaking Dev's heart and causing Dev to vow he would destroy the Frookies and Marwan...
