Joe was a castaway on Survivor: Worlds Apart and was part of the Nagarote (No Collar) tribe originally. He returned for the season which aired after, Survivor: Cambodia, after being voted in by the viewing public, and was on the dominant Bayon tribe.
On his original season, he was part of the No Collar Tribe, where he led the alliance of himself, Jenn, and Hali. Even after being the sole member of his tribe sent to the other tribe during a tribe swap, Joe managed to make the merge. He immediately became a huge physical threat and was continuously targeted but was saved by going on an immunity run. The moment he lost though, he was voted out, right before the family visit which crushed him. As a juror, he voted for Mike to win.
Upon arriving in Cambodia, Joe formed an alliance with Jeremy and the two created tight bonds by being the providers of the tribe. Seeing him as a new-J.T., Stephen made it his life goal to get Joe out in a season-long quest that resulted in Stephen himself being voted out, even after stealing Joe鈥檚 vote in a bizarre first-of-its-kind twist. Even with tribe swaps, Joe managed to avoid Tribal altogether before the merge. At the merge, he maintained his allegiance to his Bayon tribe members, as well as Spencer and Kelly Wiglesworth. Joe went on yet another immunity run. He eventually found out Stephen was targeting him, leading to plots of both of them trying to take the other out, but again, it was Joe who prevailed. Joe eventually made his Survivor goal of getting to the loved one visit, where he bonded with his dad. At the Day 31 immunity challenge, Joe scared all his fangirls by fainting during the challenge and losing immunity. Seizing the opportunity, Joe was voted out in a 6-1-1 vote. He voted for Jeremy to win as a juror. At the reunion show, it was revealed that Joe broke the Survivor record of most days safe in the game, with 28 days, and that he and Keith hold the record for most tribal immunity wins with six. He currently holds the third most individual immunity wins, behind Ozzy and Rob, who have both played more times than him.
After Survivor, Joe competed on the Survivor edition of the Price is Right, making it all the way to the Showcase Showdown and helping his partner win. He and Jeremy appeared on The Young and the Restless. He is the third castaway to win the first individual immunity in two separate seasons, after Kathy Vavrick-O鈥橞rien and Ozzy Lusth. Joe holds a record 23 challenge wins for 2 seasons played. Although he lasted 32 days in Cambodia, Joe never voted for the person who was eliminated, yet another Survivor record. He is currently dating Season 1 and 31 castaway Kelly Wiglesworth and they also have an online Youtube show.
