(+/-) Bob Crowley ~ S17: Gabon

4 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Bob is the winner of Survivor Gabon and started the game on the Kota tribe. He was shortly recruited to be the fifth member of the Onion alliance, consisting of himself, Marcus, Charlie, Corinne, and Jacquie. Kota was strong and stayed safe from tribal. When they lost, the alliance stuck together and took out outsider Paloma. A tribe swap led to the loss of Jacquie, when she went to Fang and was quickly voted out. Jacquie was soon replaced by Randy. During a tribe swap, Bob remained on Kota, and when they went to tribal, Susie flipped on him and Marcus, voting out his only ally on his tribe.
After Marcus’ blindside, Bob made the merge and his alliance quickly found themselves in the minority. His allies were voted out one by one. At Exile Island, he constructed a Fake Hidden Immunity Idol, which he used to leverage his safety. With Sugar’s suggestion, he used the Fake Idol to give to Randy, who was voted out as a result.  Bob would go on to win three back-to-back-to-back individual immunity wins. With only him and Corinne left in his alli-ance, he made a second fake Idol in an attempt to keep her safe. It was futile and Corinne left. However, the other side were fractured when Ken joined Bob and Corinne in voting for Matty, resulting in Crystal and Ken being eliminated one by one. Unfortunately, his immunity run came to an end when Susie beat him at a card building competition. However, he convinced Sugar to tie the votes to give him a chance. He practiced building fires, and when Sugar did in fact tie the votes, Bob easily beat Matty in a fire-making challenge, securing his spot in the Final 3.  With his former allies making up the majority of the jury, Bob easily defeated Sugar and narrowly beat Susie by 1 vote, earning his spot as the oldest winner of Survivor, ever, at age 57. He was also the Sprint Player of the Season. He was the high school teacher of Survivor Vanuatu castaway Julie Berry. He was originally an alternate for the season, but replaced future Nicaragua castaway Jimmy Johnson when he failed his medical exam.

(+/-) Susie Smith ~ S17: Gabon

16 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Jesusita Smith, or Susie, is a castaway from Survivor: Gabon and started the game on the Fang tribe.  During her time as a member of Fang, she had ZERO confessionals, the first person in Survivor history to be part of a tribe and not make a confessional as a member. During this part of the game, she flew under the radar and joined the majority in voting out Michelle and Gillian. On Day 10 when they ranked their own tribes, Susie was voted the least important member of Fang. She was chosen by Corinne to be part of Kota. To earn her place, Susie worked hard at camp. Luckily, Kota continued their winning streak even with new members.  When both tribes had to go to tribal, she pissed Corinne off by saying she wanted to vote her out. Corinne wanted to stab her in the face. Susie herself was in danger, due to her weakness in challenges. Ultimately, she was saved over Dan, who was perceived to be too much of a threat. During a second tribe swap, she remained on Kota with Bob and Marcus, and reunited with Crystal and Ken. She became a swing vote and was leaning towards staying with her Kota allies, but when Crystal told her Marcus also promised her a F3 deal, Susie flipped on Marcus for lying to her, blindsiding him.
Upon the merge, she surprised everyone by winning the first individual immunity and she subsequently voted to eliminate the Onion alliance one by one (minus Bob). Despite them targeting her, she had the numbers. Her alliance broke up when Matty was mad at Ken for voting for him, so she joined the others in voting out Ken and Crystal one by one. Knowing the other three were closer, she was determined to win final immunity and was successful. She voted for Bob to go home, viewing him as the biggest threat, but a tie resulted, and Bob won the tie breaker. At Final Tribal Council, the Onion Alliance were rough on Susie, Corinne asking her if she’d remove her vocal chords. Saying no ultimately cost her the game, losing to Bob in a 4-3 vote (with Sugar receiving 0). She received the votes of her former Fang allies Crystal, Ken, and Matty.

(+/-) Sugar Kiper ~ Gabon & Heroes vs...

10 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Jessica AKA Sugar is a castaway from Survivor: Gabon, where she was the second runner up. She is the only person in Survivor history to receive zero votes throughout the game (for or against her). She would return as a Hero on Heroes vs. Villains, where she was the first voted out.
On Gabon, she was a member of the Kota tribe and was the first person sent to Exile Island. She found the Hidden Immunity Idol, which her fellow tribe mates doubted she had the capability of doing.  She wasn’t picked during a second schoolyard pick and was sent to Exile and joined the Kota tribe after they voted out Jacquie.  Sugar was incredibly close to Ace, whom she had an alliance with. The Fang alliance even targeted her for their close connection, but she was saved when G.C. effectively quit the game by asking to be voted out. Being told Ace was lying to her, Sugar turned on her only true ally and voted him out. During a second tribe swap, she stayed on Fang with Matty and was rejoined by her Kota tribe mates. She made the merge and was courted by both sides for her vote and she ultimately decided to turn on her original Kota tribe mates, voting out the Onion Alliance one by one.
Bob told her he had an Idol, but Sugar had the real one, knowing it was a lie – she suggested Bob give it to Randy to play and vote him out anyways, and her plan worked. She clashed frequently with Corinne, and helped vote her out and when she saw the way Ken & Crystal treated Matty, she helped vote them out, even giving Matty her Idol. She wanted to go to final 3 with Matty and Bob, whom she felt were good people, but that was ruined when Susie won the final immunity. To give both Matty and Bob a fair chance, she tied the vote, allowing Bob a chance to compete in a fire making challenge.  At Final Tribal Council, Sugar gave poor answers to the questions, even saying they don’t have to vote for her. She also called the jury members jerk and flipped off Corinne for calling her “an unemployed leech on society” and mentioned her deceased father. Sugar received no jury votes and was the second runner up.
Because she wanted to “keep the good people around” during Survivor: Gabon, Sugar returned as a Hero for Survivor Heroes vs. Villains.  In the first challenge, Sandra undid her top, and she memorably went topless, flipped Sandra off, and won the point for her tribe. She focused more on flirting and cuddling with her male tribemates more than helping out at camp, which annoyed Colby. She was partly to blame for the Heroes losing the first immunity challenge and cried afterwards. She was then the first person voted off of Heroes vs. Villains, receiving the votes of all her tribemates. After she was voted off, she was evacuated from Samoa and sent to Australia, because the producers feared she would harm herself. She attempted suicide and appeared on season 5 of Celebrity Rehab to deal with her substance abuse issues.  As an actress, she has appeared in film and..

(+/-) Matty Whitmore ~ S17: Gabon

4 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Matty is a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and was the final member of the jury.  He was a member of the Fang tribe throughout the pre-merge stage, despite two tribe swaps.  Despite Fang’s incredible losing streak, Matty managed to stay safe due to his physical strength and social ties. He was part of Randy’s group initially, along with Susie and Dan.  When a tribe switch occurred, this left Matty with just Kenny, Crystal, and GC, so Matty joined forces with them to take out the former Kota members, although Ace formed a secret alliance with Matty to protect him and Sugar and they convinced Matty and the others to turn on Kota betrayer Kelly.  When Crystal and Kenny realized Matty wasn’t as loyal as they thought and was with Ace, they blindsided and took Ace out.  A second tribe swap occurred, leaving Matty on Fang with Sugar.
At the merge stage, Matty rejoined the Fang alliance out of necessity, joining Kenny, Crystal, and Susie, and joined them in taking out the Onion alliance.  During the family visit challenge, he memorably proposed to his current wife Jamie. When Kenny voted for Matty in case Corinne played an Idol, Matty was upset. After Crystal yelled at him to stay loyal, Matty decided to betray Ken and Crystal, joining in voting them out back to back, with Sugar playing her secret idol on him to ensure he was safe. At the final four, Susie unexpectedly won final immunity, ruining the final three plans Matty, Sugar, and Bob had. Susie and Matty voted for Bob and Sugar joined Bob in voting Matty, to give Bob a fair chance. A fire making challenge ensued and Matty lost against Bob, making him the final member of the jury on Day 38.  As a jury member, he voted for Susie to win along with his fellow Fang allies. He was recruited as a Whole Foods to be on the show and is the grandson of ALMOST EGOT winner James Whitmore (who was nominated but didn’t win that Oscar to clinch the EGOT officially).

(+/-) Ken Hoang ~ S17: Gabon

9 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Kenny was a castaway on Survovor: Gabon and a member of the Fang tribe. Initially an outcast on his tribe (aligning with first boot Michelle), Kenny managed to form a tight friendship, bond, and alliance with tribe mate Crystal. Despite Fang’s losing streak, the two managed to stay safe. The aligned with temporary tribe leader GC. During a tribe swap, he remained on Fang with his alliance, and Kenny and Crystal managed to rope Kelly into flipping on her former Kota tribe mates, giving them the numbers, now with Matty amongst their numbers. Fang continued to lose immunity challenges, leading them to vote out G.C., Kelly, and Ace. During a second tribe swap, he moved to Kota with Crystal. When Marcus told Crystal his plan to vote out Ken, she refused to betray him and Kenny and Crystal managed to convince Susie to flip with them to blindside him. Kenny made the merge and he came up with the idea to target Charlie first, convincing the others (Sugar included) that he was the brains of the other alliance. One by one, Kenny helped vote out members of the Onion alliance (aside from Bob).
When it came down to just Corinne and Bob, Bob won immunity and Corinne told him and Crystal she had an Idol. As a precaution, Kenny voted for Matty in case Corinne pulled out an Idol. Ultimately, Corinne went home. Despite that, his alliance became distrustful of both him and Crystal, Sugar even calling them the “Bad guys”, even getting into verbal fights with Matty. To ensure Matty’s safety, Sugar gave him her Idol, but Crystal was blindsided anyways with the majority votes. With a new alliance, Sugar then proceeded to orchestrate Kenny’s own ouster the next tribal council on Day 37, making him the sixth jury member. As a jury member, he voted for Susie to win. He was the youngest guy on Gabon and he named the merge tribe the awful Nobag (Gabon spelled backwards). He is one of the world's best Super Smash Bro. players.

(+/-) Crystal Cox ~ S17: Gabon

18 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Crystal is an Olympic athlete who competed as a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and the tallest woman to ever play the game. She started the game on the Fang tribe and she immediately clicked and connected with Ken. She and Ken, along with G.C. formed an alliance, after feeling on the outs from the rest of their tribe. During a tribe swap, the three of them remained on Fang, along with Matty, and were able to convince former Kota member Kelly to join their side, which she did. She started clashing with GC after Fang continued losing challenge after challenge. G.C. asked to be voted out, which Crystal agreed to. When Kelly called her weak for crying, Ace was able to convince Crystal and Ken to flip and vote her out, along to vote out Ace afterwards. Crystal and Ken were swapped to Kota during a second tribe swap. Marcus tried to align himself with Crystal after finding out he was friends with her cousin and the two hit it off. However, Marcus wanted Crystal to vote out Ken and promised her a spot in the Onion alliance. Unwilling to betray her best friend, she relayed this info to Ken and Susie. Susie was shocked to hear Marcus making final 3 deals to other people in addition to her, so she joined Crystal in flipping on Marcus.
Crystal made the merge and her side and the Onion alliance fought over Sugar’s vote. The Onion alliance decided to target Crystal. They had the numbers those, proceeding to vote out members of the Onion alliance (except for Bob) one by one—she memorably screamed during her voting confessional, telling Randy to GO HOME. When Ken voted for Matty as a precaution (in case Corinne had the Idol), Matty betrayed them in return, joining the others in voting out Crystal and Ken back to back, making Crystal the fifth member of the jury. As a jury member, she voted for Susie to win. She won only 2 out of 19 challenges in the course of her season- with 11 tribal losses, it ties her for second (with Bobby Jon, Stephenie, and Ken) with the second-most tribal losses in a single season – hilarious given the fact that she is an Olympian. Crystal had the most votes against her in Gabon with 11.  In 2012, Crystal’s Olympic Gold Medal was stripped from her, after she admitted to using anabolic steroids.

(+/-) Corinne Kaplan ~ Gabon & Caramoan

12 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Corinne was a castaway from both Survivor: Gabon and Survivor: Caramoan – Fans Vs. Favorites 2.
On Gabon, Corinne was the villainess of the season and started the game on the Kota tribe, where she quickly formed an alliance with Charlie, Marcus, and Jacquie called the Onion Alliance. Corinne was also instrumental in recruiting Bob to the alliance. During a tribe swap on Day 10, she remained on Kota with everyone except Jacquie, whom was swiftly voted off of Fang. Corinne clashed with Susie on her tribe, especially after Susie mentioned wanting to vote her out. During a second tribe swap, she moved to Fang with Randy and Charlie, although she lost Marcus when Susie flipped on the Kota 6. Going into the merge, she was now in the minority. Unable to convince anyone to flip, her allies Charlie and Randy went home back to back, leaving just her and Bob. When Bob won immunity, she was the clear target, so they tried to convince the others she had an idol. She pitched the idea to Ken and Crystal and they split the votes between her and Matty. Crystal ultimately joined the majority in voting out Corinne, sending her to the jury as the fourth jury member. She gave an iconicly bitter jury speech, asking Susie if she’d remove her vocal chords for $1 million, told Bob to get nasty, and made a comment about Sugar’s dead father, causing her to get flipped off. She voted for Bob to win.
Corinne returned for Survivor: Caramoan – Fans vs. Favorites, where she was on the Favorites tribe (Bikal). She was immediately recruited to be a member of Phillip’s Stealth R Us alliance, and received the nickname “The Dominatrix”. Right away, she bonded with Malcolm and the two found an idol on Day 4. Andrea, on the other hand, didn’t trust her. Brandon lashed out at her for being nice to the Fans.  She was excited that during a tribe swap, her tribe received a gay in the form of Michael (although Malcolm was swapped to the other tribe). Her friendship with Michael worried her alliance. During a merge, she was reunited with Malcolm, who was now part of the Cool Kids Alliance (with Eddie, Reynold, and Erik). She tried to recruit Dawn, but Dawn told Phillip about her betrayal, and thus, Corinne was blindsided by a 7-5 vote.
She was asked to be a member of the Villains tribe on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, but she turned it down because of her work commitments.

(+/-) Randy Bailey ~ Gabon & Heroes vs...

7 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Randy was a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and returned as a villain for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains due to his grumpy, gruff personality. He hates everyone.
On Gabon, he began the game on the Fang tribe, which lost a majority of the early challenges, which annoyed Randy. He clashed with Crystal, Kenny, and GC over their rice consumption, and he wanted to vote the cancer off his tribe. During a tribe swap, he became a member of the Kota tribe and would later be a loose member of the Onion alliance, bonding with his new tribe mates Charlie and Corinne, and Kota went on a winning streak, keeping him safe from Tribal. This was short lived during a second tribe swap, sending him back to Fang, where he worried Susie would flip for being stupid and crazy. During the merge, he sided with his Onion allies, however, they did not have the numbers and Charlie was blindsided. When Bob gave him an Idol, he decided to make everyone’s lives miserable, so they would vote for him, so he could Idol out Susie. His plan partly worked because people did indeed vote for him, but it turned out to be a fake Idol, and he was voted out, becoming the third member of the jury (GO HOME RANDY). Although angry at Bob for giving him a fake Idol, he did vote for him to win, although he told the final three to kiss his ass.
On Heroes vs. Villains, Randy returned as a Villain because of his hatred for everyone. He was considered the weakest due to his old age and he struggled in the first challenge. Although one of the weakest, he did find a lot of food for the Villains tribe, which they didn’t appreciate. He was kept safe due to the villains winning the first two Tribal Councils, but he was quickly a target during the third tribal council. He campaigned for Parvati to go, who he thought was dangerous due to her close bonds with people on both tribes. He didn’t even bother voting for Parvati and threw his vote to Rob and he was unanimously voted off. He then threw his buff in the fire pit, the first to do so.

(+/-) Charlie Herschel ~ S17: Gabon

6 BlueBarracuda, Sep 27, 2016

Charlie was a castaway from Survivor: Gabon. He was a member of the Kota tribe and quickly formed an alliance with Marcus, whom he had a crush on. Together, they formed the Onion Alliance with Corinne and Jacquie, with Bob as a loose 5th member. The Kota tribe remained immune during the first part of the game, however, a tribe swap led to his alliance losing Jacquie, whom was voted off the Fang tribe. During a surprise second tribe swap, he moved to Fang with Randy and Corinne, allowing him to strengthen his bond with Randy. Unfortunately for him, Marcus was voted out just before the merge, although he made jury. Charlie made the merge with his surviving Onion members plus Bob and Randy and they attempted to blindside Crystal. However, Susie, realizing she was at the bottom, flipped on them and helped them blindside Charlie in a 5-4 vote. Although bummed about being voted out, he was stoked to be reunited with Marcus in the jury house, which made them set the tone for a really bitter jury. At Final Tribal, he voted for Bob to win and was still angry at Sugar and Susie for blindsiding him.

(+/-) Marcus Lehman ~ S17: Gabon

4 BlueBarracuda, Sep 20, 2016

Marcus was a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and meber of the Kota tribe, where he was the leader of the majority faction called the Onion Alliance. The alliance began when Marcus befriended Charlie, who had a crush on him. They later recruited Corinne and Jacquie, and finally, Bob for numbers. During the first tribal council, Marcus was immune from the vote, keeping him safe, and his alliance took out their first victim, Paloma. On Day 10, he was named the most important member of Kota, so he remained on the Kota tribe and helped pick the tribes and was able to keep all the Onion layers except Jacquie on his tribe (she was quickly voted out on Fang).  Needing numbers, they recruited Randy to be their 5th number, leaving Dan and Susie in the minority. On Day 21, both tribes competed for Individual immunity, which Marcus won, keeping him safe again from tribal. His alliance thus took out Dan in case he had an idol. During a second tribe swap, Corinne, Randy, and Charlie all moved to Fang and Marcus stayed on Kota with only Bob and outsider Susie.  Bob and Marcus immediately targeted Ken for being weak, with Ken and Crystal wanting Marcus gone. Susie was the swing vote and ultimately sided with the original Fang members, eliminating Marcus on Day 24 and made him the first member of the jury.  He set the tone of what would be an extremely clique-y and memorable Ponderosa (check out the videos, they are GOLD) and he voted for his ally Bob to win the game. He holds the record for a first-time player for the number of days of being safe from a tribal council with 24 total (returnee Joe broke this in his second season though).  Marcus inadvertently caused controversy when CBS forgot to edit out his penis during an episode, causing an international incident, the biggest penis scandal on Survivor since Ryan Opray in Pearl Islands and Richard Hatch in All Stars.

(+/-) Dan Kay ~ S17: Gabon

6 BlueBarracuda, Sep 20, 2016

Dan was a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and was originally a member of the Fang tribe. After the second immunity/reward challenge, Dan was sent to Exile Island and desperately searched for the Idol, to no avail. When he returned, his tribe mates were suspicious he found the Idol and considered voting him off, until he turned all his possessions inside and out.  Luckily for him, Gillian went home unanimously, only receiving her vote in return. Although he struggled in challenges, he made an alliance with Matty, Susie, and Randy, and they all agreed to vote out the three outsiders (G.C., Crystal, Ken) first before they’d turn on each other. During a tribe swap, Dan moved over to the Kota tribe, where he found himself now in the minority, with the original Kota’s in the majority. Dan proposed to the new Kota players a 7 person alliance, although Marcus didn’t buy it.  Kota managed to win 3 back-to-back immunity challenges, which kept Dan safe from elimination. When he tried to break into the Onion alliance, this backfired, with Corinne thinking he was weird. On Day 21, both tribes went to Tribal Council. Although Corinne wanted to vote out Susie for telling her she wanted to vote her out, however, the Onion alliance worried that Dan had the Idol from his time on Exile, so they settled on splitting the votes between Susie and Dan. Dan was voted out 4-3, becoming the 8th person to leave the game. He is the only Gabon castaway who went to Exile and didn’t make Final Tribal Council.

(+/-) Ace Gordon ~ S17: Gabon

5 BlueBarracuda, Sep 20, 2016

Ace was a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and started out as a member of the Kota tribe. Ace was marketed as the villain of the season early on, despite his relatively early departure. He was raised in London, so he is the only contestant with a British accent to play the game. He wasn’t there to make friends, although he did have an alliance with Sugar, thinking she’d be a great person to take to the end (which he wasn’t wrong about).  He and Sugar were on the outs of Kota, not included in the majority Onion alliance. During Kota’s first tribal visit, Ace was on the hot seat, being targeted by Paloma and Kelly, but ultimately, the majority voted for Paloma. During a tribe swap, Ace and Sugar both moved to Fang, giving them both more days than they might’ve had otherwise. Sugar bonded better with the others than Ace did, she even managed to find an immunity idol. Ace’s days seemed numbered, but he managed to turn Kelly’s alliance against her, giving him three extra days, and managed to bond with Matty. When both tribes went to tribal on Day 21, Ace was betrayed by his closest ally Sugar, who didn’t give him the idol, and instead joined Ken and Crystal in voting him out on Day 21.  He was supposed to return for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains as a villain, but was cut at the last minute three days before filming started.  He was also arrested post-Survivor for hitting a woman at a bar.

(+/-) Kelly Czarnecki ~ S17: Gabon

11 BlueBarracuda, Sep 19, 2016

Kelly was a castaway on Survivor: Gabon. Kelly started the game on the Kota tribe and immediately found herself on the outside, not being part of the Onion Alliance. When her closest ally Paloma was targeted when they lost their first immunity, Kelly and Paloma tried to campaign for Ace to go home instead, but were unsuccessful. Seemingly the next to go, Kelly was saved when a tribe swap moved her over to the Fang tribe, after being named the least valuable member of Kota. She moved to Kota with Ace, Sugar, and Jacquie, whom she immediately flipped on, joining the original Fang’s alliance, which including Ken, Crystal, and G.C.  Sugar also voted with them. When Fang lost the immunity challenge partly due to Kelly’s weak performance, Jacquie campaigned for her to go, but instead, Kelly joined Fang in getting rid of Jacquie herself.  On Day 18, she got into a fight with Crystal, which Ace took advantage of and convinced the original Fang members to vote out Kelly over him. This worked and she was unanimously voted out 5-1 on Day 18.  Is she the most forgettable Kelly in Survivor history? Perhaps. She was the youngest contestant on Gabon and since the show has worked as a producer for both The Amazing Race and MasterChef.

(+/-) G.C. Brown ~ S17: Gabon

3 BlueBarracuda, Sep 19, 2016

Danny Brown AKA G.C. aka Golden Child aka G. Cizzle was a castaway on Survivor: Gabon and originally a member of the Fang tribe. Due to his selfish actions, he was partly responsible for Fang to lose the first immunity challenge.  He was named tribe leader by his tribemates during Tribal Council, although he quit the next day because he couldn’t handle it. During a tribe swap, he remained on Fang and joined an alliance with Crystal, Kenny, Matty, and Kelly. They stuck together and voted out newcomer Jacquie. On Day 15, G.C. mysteriously disappeared and his tribe frantically searched for him, ready to leave for the immunity challenge. When they went to tribal council after losing again, G.C. asked to be voted out, despite not even being the original target. He got his wish and was the 5th voted out on Day 15.

(+/-) Jacquie Berg ~ S17: Gabon

5 BlueBarracuda, Sep 19, 2016

Jacquie was a castaway from Survivor: Gabon and was originally a member of the Kota tribe.  She immediately found herself in a good position: her tribe went on a winning streak and she was part of the majority alliance, called the Onion Alliance, consisting of herself, Marcus, Charlie, and Corinne. On Day 10, there was a tribe switch and she was the only member of her alliance to move to Fang, the only other Kota members going with her were non-allies Ace and Kelly. After Fang lost, Kelly flipped to the original Fang members, putting Jacquie and Ace at risk. Although she campaigned for Kelly to go before her, she was unable to convince Ken and Crystal to flip to her and Ace, causing her to be voted out 5-2. She joins the growing list of Survivor castaways screwed over by a tribe swap. During the show, she fell in love with a Survivor producer, whom she later married. He was fired, because producers aren’t allowed to mess with contestants.
