(+/-) Ben Driebergen ~ S35: Heroes vs...

11 BlueBarracuda, Mar 9, 2018

Ben was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Heroes / Levu tribe for being a Marine and veteran suffering from PTSD.
"Starting off as the key member of the original Levu tribe, Ben found himself in the minority following a Tribe Switch. Thanks to a string of challenge victories, Ben was able to make the merge where he found himself as the swing vote for the first Tribal Council, and took charge of the Solewa majority alliance. This time was short lived as Ben's short-temper and controlling demeanor turned all of his allies against him. With the odds against him, Ben managed to survive and reach the Final Tribal Council by finding and playing three Hidden Immunity Idol in a row and beating Devon Pinto in the unprecedented final four fire-making Challenge. His idol plays and status as an underdog combined with the jury's general dismissal of Chrissy Hofbeck and Ryan Ulrich's gameplay, rewarded Ben the title of Sole Survivor in a 5-2-1 vote." (Survivor Wikia)
•        Out of any Sole Survivor, Ben has more votes cast against him with 11. This was previously held by Aras Baskauskas of Panama with 9.
•        Thus, with those 11 votes against him and losing 3 jury votes, Ben played the most imperfect game of any Sole Survivor.
•        Ben is the third castaway from Idaho, after Sherri Biethman and Taylor Stocker. Interestingly, Sherri also made final 3 and Taylor made jury, giving Idahoans pretty good odds of making it far on Survivor.
•        Ben is the oldest and highest ranking member of Levu. Ben is tied with Russell Hantz in Samoa, Tony Vlachos in Cagayan, and Tai Trang in Game Changers for the most Hidden Immunity Idols found in a season, with 3.
•        Unlike those three, Ben is the first castaway to play those Idols at three consecutive Tribals. He is also the first person to play an Idol before the votes were read under the current rules.
•        Ben also found his third Idol the same night he played his second, which is the shortest time between playing and finding an Idol.
•        Ben is the first person to negate every single vote but his own with an Idol, also holding the record for percentage of votes negated with Idols with 85.71%
•        Ben is only the second winner to become Sole Survivor after winning a fire making challenge, after Bob Crowley
•        Ben is the 9th castaway to win Survivor without winning individual immunity, after Tina Wesson, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Yul Kwon, Earl Cole, Todd Herzog, Natalie White, Tony Vlachos, and Sarah Lacina
•        Ben had the most confessionals in HHH, with 70 overall.
If you like the castaway, plus (+), if you don't, neg (-). Use your own criteria. Make sure you vote in all the polls on the blogs to the left. Let me know if you want..

(+/-) Ryan Ulrich ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

9 BlueBarracuda, Mar 8, 2018

Ryan was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Hustler / Yawa tribe for being a bellhop with an ugly red turtleneck.
[Pre-Merge]:
•        During the marooning, he found a secret advantage on the ship, which turned out to be a super Idol; however, if his tribe didn’t attend the first Tribal Council, he would need to give it to someone on the losing tribe (which was Chrissy, who kept it and didn’t use)
•        On Day 2 he aligned with Devon and told him about the Idol; he later aligned with Ali
•        Ryan joined his tribe in unanimously voting out Simone on Day 6
•        On Day 8, he argued for Patrick to stay, but was overruled by Devon and Ali, who opted to keep Lauren instead
[Tribe Swap]:
•        On Day 9, Ryan and Ali were swapped to Soko and Ryan lucked out with Chrissy from Levu also being swapped there; he told her about the Idol which immediately caused them to work together
•        On Day 14, Ryan found himself the swing vote between voting out his new ally Chrissy, or Roark, who was working with his ally Ali; he ultimately shocked Ali and turned on her, voting out Roark instead
•        Ali confronted Ryan after Tribal Council; Ryan later made amends with Ali and started to fear JP would be a threat at the merge; ultimately, he and Chrissy decided to vote out Ali over JP when they returned to Tribal
[Merge]:
•        Ryan joined The Round Table alliance, seemingly led by Ben, and they controlled the first few votes at the merge
•        He found a Hidden Immunity Idol, which led to a dramatic Idol fight between Cole and Chrissy on the beach
•        He separately told Devon and Ben about his Idol; the two would later compare notes and caused Devon to distrust Ryan
•        Ryan was blindsided when Ben, Ashley, Devon, and Lauren turned on him and Chrissy and blindsided JP; Ryan tried his best to amend his friendship with Devon but was unsuccessful; he was also unsuccessful at wooing Mike over
•        Convinced he was the target, Ryan wasted his Idol to save himself, despite not receiving the majority of votes
•        Ryan got to see his dad and share the reward with him, thanks to Chrissy
•        At a reward challenge, he made a final 3 pact with Chrissy and Devon
•        Despite multiple attempts to vote Ben out, Ryan was unsuccessful, which led to the departures of Ashley and Mike
•        At Final 4, Chrissy won final immunity, which in a twist, allowed her to pick who would be sitting next to her and which two would compete in a fire making challenge; believing Devon was more capable of beating Ben, she picked Ryan to automatically be in the final 3 with her
•        Devon lost, making the final 3 Ryan, Chrissy, and Ben
[Final 3]:
•        Ryan was accused of playing an inferior game to Ben and Chrissy, that his conversations lacked strategy, he..

(+/-) Devon Pinto ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

10 BlueBarracuda, Mar 8, 2018

Devon was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Hustler / Yawa tribe for being a surf instructor.
Devon formed an alliance early on (day 2) with Ryan, who told him about finding the super Idol and giving it to Chrissy. Devon found himself in the majority alliance, helping send home Simone Day 6 and Patrick on Day 8, with Devon wanting Patrick out over Lauren. Devon was swapped to Levu on Day 9 during a tribe swap and was the only Yawa on the tribe. With 2 heroes and 2 healers, Devon found himself the swing vote, with both sides going after his vote. Joe lied and said the heroes were targeting him, which caused Devon to distrust Joe and gravitate towards Ashley, whom he formed a tight bond with. At Tribal Council, Jessica from the other tribe used an advantage to block his vote, preventing him from voting, leading Alan to go home when Joe used an Idol. This brought Ashley and Devon even closer together and the two tried to convince Desi to flip on Joe and join them, however, they were safe until the merge.
At the merge, Devon teamed up once more with Ryan and became a knight on The Round Table. Ryan told him in confidence that he had an Idol, but after speaking with Ben, he found out Ryan also told him, causing him to lose trust in his ally. On Day 25, he solidified a final 4 deal with Ben, Lauren, and Ashley to target Ryan, Chrissy, and JP and Devon revealed that Ryan had an Idol. They put their plan into action, successfully blindsiding JP, and Ryan did his best to win Devon back over but failed. Devon came up with a scheme to flush Ryan’s Idol and blindside Joe. At this point, Ashley told Devon she no longer wanted to stay loyal to Ben.
At the immunity challenge, Devon and Ashley exposed how tight they were when Devon gave up immunity to her. Ben overheard Ashley talking to Devon and Lauren about blindsiding him, and at Tribal, they attempted to, only for Ben to play an Idol and eliminate Lauren with a single vote. Devon and Chrissy made a final 3 deal with Ryan. The Idol was fractured between voting out Ashley or Ben, with Devon not wanting to turn against her. When Ben presented his Idol before the votes were cast, Devon had no choice but to join the others in unanimously voting Ashley out.  Chrissy came up with yet another scheme to vote Ben out, but uneasy about Ben’s calm attitude, Devon threw a vote against Mike, which ultimately saved him when Ben played an Idol, causing a 1-1 tie between him and Mike. Devon was saved during a revote with Mike being sent home.
Chrissy won the final immunity challenge, but in a twist, found out she had to pick 2 people to compete in a fire-making challenge to earn the final spot in the final 3, and pick one person to automatically join her. Wanting to eliminate Ben once and for all, she picked Devon to compete in the fire making challenge, as he was better equipped than Ryan was to do so...

(+/-) Dr. Mike Zahalsky ~ S35: Heroes vs...

10 BlueBarracuda, Mar 8, 2018

Dr. Mike was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Healers / Soko tribe for his work as an urologist / sex doctor.
Mike began the game by looking for the Hidden Immunity Idol and was caught by Joe. This led Joe to target Mike and Mike himself was an outsider, not a part of the majority Soko alliance consisting of young women and Cole. His tribemates told him early on “win or go home”. Luckily for Mike, he avoided an early boot thanks to Soko’s challenge dominance, helping him safely make it to a tribe swap on Day 9 to Yawa along with Jessica and Cole.
**
With Jessica’s help, he was able to find an Idol and form a friendship with Ben. On Yawa, Mike was a swing vote between his former Soko allies and Lauren and Ben. Luckily, Mike made it to the merge without going to Tribal. He re-aligned with his Soko tribe mates as they tried to take on the Healer/Heroes. Due to Lauren and Ben defecting to the other side, Mike saw his allies leave one by one, until he himself was the only Healer left in the game. He wasted his Idol at Final 10 trying to get Ben out, formed a tight bond with former adversary Joe, forming the “coconutz”, until Joe himself was booted. As Mike held on, the majority alliance started to crack; as they targeted each other, Mike slipped under the radar, especially as others became larger threats to win. In the iconic scene where he felt, Mike was actually rescuing 22 baby sea turtles from killer ants.
v
At the loved ones visit, Chrissy allowed him to see his wife Bari. When Ben found out Lauren wanted to blindside him, he revealed Lauren’s advantage and Idol to Mike. In order to regain his trust, Lauren foolishly gave Mike half her Idol, which he in return threw in the fire, as Lauren left the game. In attempt to get Ben out, Mike joined Chrissy in using her defunct super Idol to fool Ben, but he himself had the real Idol. The 3 votes against Ben did not count when he used the Idol, leaving a 1-1 vote between Mike and Devon. In the revote, Mike went home in a 2-1 vote, becoming the 14th person voted out and the 7th member of the jury on Day 37. Despite naming Ben as one of the best Survivor players in history, Mike cast his vote to Chrissy so she would be the runner-up over Ryan.
Dr. Mike continues to work as an urologist. His doctor’s office was only three blocks away from the Parkland, FL Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting, so he rushed to the hospital to help the victims, operating on victims and helped save some of their lives. He helped arrange for the victims to go to SeaWorld with the help of Ghost Island castaway Morgan, who works as a dolphin trainer. Mike was the oldest member of his tribe and the oldest male on his season. Dr. Mike, Cole, and Dr. Jessica were the first castaways to win every pre-merge..

(+/-) Ashley Nolan ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

16 BlueBarracuda, Mar 8, 2018

Ashley was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Heroes / Levu tribe due to her work as a lifeguard captain for the Brevard County Ocean Rescue.
Ashley formed an early alliance with JP and together,  they formed a bigger alliance with Alan and Ben. By night 2, Alan became paranoid that she and JP were becoming a showmance and secretly had an Idol. When Levu lost the first immunity challenge, Alan tried to shake things up and send Ashley home, but when it came down to it, she only received a vote from Katrina, who went home. After that, Ashley tried to distance herself from JP.
On Day 9, she and Alan remained on Levu during a tribe swap, so they made amends and buried the hatchet. She quickly formed a connection with Devon, whom she tried to convince side with them. Levu lost immunity and Joe openly targeted Ashley, stating she was the weakest, which only furthered the bond between Ash and Devon. When Devon’s vote was blocked and Joe read into Ashley’s reaction, Joe played his Idol on himself, sending Alan home. With Alan gone, Devon and Ashley tried to recruit Desi to their side to get out Joe. However, that plan never transpired as they didn’t go to Tribal and made the merge.
At the merge, she re-aligned with her Levu tribemates JP and Chrissy (later Ben) and agreed to team up with Yawa to vote out Soko members. On Day 22, her feud with Joe continued, as he stated she wasn’t playing the game and would be an easy goat to take to the end. At a reward challenge, she made a final 4 pact with Devon, Lauren, and Ben to target JP, Chrissy, and Ryan. Ashley won individual immunity and at Tribal, they blindsided her former ally JP. Ashley proposed to Lauren they turn on Ben, whom she thought was too big of a threat, although she joined the others in voting out Joe.
She saw her dad Jim at the Loved Ones challenge and won a second Individual Immunity. She joined the majority to unanimously vote out Ben, who pulled out an Idol and saved himself, causing Lauren to go home instead. During a chaotic tribal council, Ashley wanted her alliance to split their votes between Ben and Mike, in case Ben played an Idol. Ben told Ash to vote for Mike and then played his Idol before the votes were read, forcing her alliance to turn on one another. She was blindsided when her alliance voted her out over Mike, hugging only Ben on the way out, feeling mostly betrayed by Devon. She was the 13th person voted out of the game and the 6th jury member on Day 36. As a juror, she was one of two votes cast in favor of Chrissy winning the game.
Ashley was an extra in the 2017 blockbuster starring Zac Efron and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Baywatch, appearing alongside Nicaragua/Caramoan denture shamer, Brenda Lowe. She was the youngest member of the Levu..

(+/-) Lauren Rimmer ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

14 BlueBarracuda, Mar 8, 2018

Lauren “The Rimmer” Rimmer was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Hustler / Yawa tribe for being a fisherman and professional softball outfielder.
Being the oldest member of the Yawa tribe, Lauren immediately appeared to be an outsider and easy boot if Yawa ended up going to Tribal Council. Despite winning the first immunity challenge, Yawa did go to tribal Day 6 and 8, putting Lauren in the hotseat. Due to her distrust of gingers and Patrick’s general annoyingness, Lauren clashed with him and wanted to target him on Day 6. However, she joined the majority in voting off Simone Day 6. When it came time for their second Tribal, Lauren’s feud with Patrick reached it’s climax and Lauren got her way when Patrick was blindsided and voted out over her.
/revision/latest?cb=20171013092917
On Day 9, Lauren once again found herself on the apparent outs when she was the only Yawa to remain on Yawa during a tribe swap. She grew close to Ben, who also was on the outs against three original Soko members (Cole, Jess, Dr. Mike). Lauren grew frustrated with Cole and wanted him gone; luckily for Lauren, Soko remained immune until the merge.
On Day 17, Lauren made the merge and herself and Ben were the swing votes between the two opposing alliances – the Healers vs. the Hero/Hustlers. Despite wanting to stick with Soko, she and Ben defected and joined the Heroes & Hustlers in blindsiding Jessica. After Jessica’s departure, Lauren found a secret advantage at camp (extra vote), which would require her to abstain from Tribal in order to use the extra vote. She told Ben and used it at Tribal, causing Desi & Joe to be deadlocked into a tie vote (with Desi going in the revote). Lauren’s dominance continued, as she defeated Cole to win the Individual Immunity, leading to his boot. Lauren also won the Reward challenge on Day 25 and shared it with Ben, Devon, and Ashley, and together, they formed a final four alliance and planned a scheme to turn on Chrissy, JP, and Ryan, pulling in Mike and Joe instead. Together, they blindsided JP, but later decided to turn on Ben due to his dominance and threat of winning the game. They blindsided Joe, however. During a loved one visit, her superfan sister Sunny showed up, although she lost the challenge. She, Ben, and Devon searched for an Idol and she found ½ of it, later throwing a challenge to find the second ½ of it.
Ben overheard Lauren and his former final 4 alliance talking about blindsiding him, so he told Dr. Mike about Lauren’s Idol and advantage. In an attempt to gain Mike’s trust after finding out about Ben’s plan, she gave Mike ½ of her Idol. At Tribal, Lauren..

(+/-) Joe Mena ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers vs...

16 BlueBarracuda, Mar 7, 2018

Joe was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Healer / Soko tribe for his work as a probation officer where he tries to turn people’s lives around.
Joe was on the dominant Soko tribe, keeping him safe for the first 8 days of the game. He immediately tried to place a target on Mike’s back, falsely accusing him of having a Hidden Immunity Idol. He himself later found a clue to the Idol, which Cole helped him find. On Day 9, he was swapped to the Levu tribe along with Desi. Joe tried convincing soloHustler Devon to join the healer side and lied and stated the former Heroes were targeting him. That backfired, putting Joe and Desi in the minority. Levu lost immunity on Day 11 and Joe seemed the likely target to go. In a twist, Jessica used an advantage to block Devon from voting, making it a 2-2 vote. Joe read Ashley’s facial reactions and successfully played his Idol on himself, negating Ashley and Alan’s vote, sending Alan home in the process. He later found a second Idol on Night 15.
-
Joe made the merge on Day 17 and re-aligned with his former Healer tribe mates. Many of his tribe mates could not stand him and he found himself on the outs, playing his second Idol right away, although it was a waste, since the votes were stacked on Jessica. The Healers found themselves sitting ducks, as Desi and Cole soon followed.  Joe wanted to blindside Ben, which he overheard, which led to Joe to accusing Ben of swearing on the Marines for nefarious reasons. The opposing alliance even split the votes between Desi and Joe, but Joe was saved during the revote, with some perceiving him to be a goat. With that in mind and his inability to find another Idol, Joe did what he could to irritate his tribe mates, in particular Ashley and Chrissy, and stated that nobody was playing the game. On Day 27, Joe and Mike were approached by The Rimmer and Ashley to blindside Chrissy and her minions. Together, Joe helped blindside JP, turning the tables on the other side, fracturing their majority alliance. He and Mike continued to troll, calling themselves the CocoNuts.
?w=347&h=185
After the JP blindside, Devon lied to Joe and Mike, telling them the vote was to get out Ben and flush Ryan’s Idol. Now that the new majority did not need Joe nor Mike, they opted to target them. Joe fell for the plan, voting for Ryan, who played his Idol and negated their votes. Unfortunately, the alliance of Ben, Ashley, Devon, and Lauren placed their votes on Joe, causing him to be voted out 4-2 over Ashley, becoming the 11th person voted out and the 4th member of the jury on Day 30.  As a juror, he ultimately voted for Ben, helping him win and become the Sole Survivor.

(+/-) JP Hilsabeck ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

9 BlueBarracuda, Mar 7, 2018

JP was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Heroes / Levu tribe for his work as a firefighter.
JP immediately formed a bond with tribemate Ashley and together they aligned with Ben and Alan. However, Alan quickly became paranoid that Ashley and JP would become a showmance and nigh 2 accused JP of having a Hidden Immunity Idol, leading JP to stripped naked to prove he didn’t have one. Levu ended up losing the first immunity challenge, sending the Heroes to Tribal Council. Despite Alan causing drama, the alliance of four plus Chrissy stayed strong and voted out Katrina. The alliance of four crumbled at that point and Ashley started distancing herself from JP to avoid putting a target on them.
On Day 9, JP and Chrissy were swapped to Soko during a tribe swap. Soko lost immunity on Day 14, so Chrissy pulled in JP and convinced him that Roark was trying to form an all-female alliance and target strong men. He believed her and started targeting Roark, and along with Ryan, blindsided Roark by voting her out, leaving Ali on the outs. Even though Ali was an easy boot when they lost immunity on Day 16, Ryan considered getting rid of JP with the merge looming ahead. However, when it came time to vote, JP, Chrissy, and Ryan stuck together and voted out Ali. JP’s role on his tribe was a “calming presence” according to Chrissy, as well as being the provider, often fishing.
JP reached the merge and re-connected with Ashley. Together, they and Chrissy joined forces with the remaining Yawa to target the former Healers contingency, with Ben later joining their numbers. One by one, the Soko Healers fell, with Jessica, Desi, and Cole leaving back to back. At this point, Lauren, Ashley, Ben, and Devon secretly broke away from their alliance, forming their own final 4 deal, leaving JP, Chrissy, and Ryan on the outs. Although he was under the impression that Mike or Joe was going home, his former allies turned on him, blindsiding him 5-4 over Mike, making him become the 10th person voted out and the third member of the jury on Day 27. As a juror, he critiqued Ryan’s lack of work ethic and voted for Ben, allowing Ben to become Sole Survivor, despite his own plans to go to the end with Chrissy and Ryan.
After the show, JP went to school to become a paramedic. Despite his lack of airtime and accusations of being ‘boring’, he became meme-worthy for saying “things” and “and things like that”. He has a pet husky named Thor who is his best friend. Jeff would yell at him during Tribal for being too vague and drama-free (aka boring).

(+/-) Cole Medders ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

8 BlueBarracuda, Mar 7, 2018

Cole was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Soko / Healer tribe for his work as a wilderness therapy guide for youth.
Cole started the game in a great position, being part of the majority alliance on the dominant Soko tribe. He was also in a flirtmance with Jessica and inadvertently helped Joe find a Hidden Immunity Idol, later exposing that fact to the others. On Day 9, He was switched to the Yawa tribe with Dr. Mike and Dr. Jess. Jessica told him in confidence that she won an advantage, which he then blabbed to their non-allies Lauren and Ben. He started rubbing Lauren and Ben the wrong way with his eating habits and perceived selfishness. At one point, he fainted due to exhaustion.
Cole made it to the merge without going to Tribal Council and rejoined the Healers to form a majority alliance, along with Lauren and Ben. However, when it came time for Tribal, Ben and Lauren joined the others in blindsiding Jessica out of the game, which blindsided Cole, who was unaware that he himself was almost a target to go home. On Day 20, Ryan found the Idol and Chrissy pretended it was still up for grabs, which led Cole to hunt for it; this led the others into believing Cole found it. Cole continued to be a huge target to go home, but after he won Individual Immunity,  Desi and Joe were targeted instead at the vote, due to Desi’s challenge dominance and Joe’s Idol finding abilities, leading Desi to go home and become juror 1.
Trying to salvage his own game, Cole voted for Joe and then Desi at the revote. Cole was unable to win the next Immunity, as Lauren narrowly defeated him, which put him in danger of being sent out of the game. He tried to rally the votes to send Ben home instead, but was unsuccessful as the votes were split between him and Mike. Mike used the Idol, negating JP and Chrissy’s vote, and Cole became the 9th person voted out of the game and the 2nd member of the jury on Day 24. At Final Tribal Council, he criticized the final 3 and how they played the game. Despite Chrissy revealing his surprisingly high ACT score, he voted for Ben, helping him become the Sole Survivor.
He has climbed the two tallest peaks in the Western Hemisphere – Denali and Acacongua. He was the youngest member of the original Soko tribe, and with Jessica and Dr. Mike, are the first castaways to win every pre-merge challenge. They, along with Randy Bailey from Gabon, hold the record for most consecutive challenge wins with 10. Cole was the only guy to win Individual Immunity during the season. The only other season where only one male won was all the way back in Survivor: Marquesas with Robert DeCanio (aka the reason Boston Rob wasn’t just called Rob).  Cole lost 13.5 lbs during the..

(+/-) Desi Williams ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

18 BlueBarracuda, Mar 7, 2018

Dr. Desi Williams was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Soko / Healer tribe for her work as a physical therapist
As a part of the dominant Soko tribe, she was in the majority alliance with Jessica, Roark, and Cole and she did not have to go to Tribal for the first 8 days of the game due to their challenge dominance. On Day 9, she and Joe were switched to the Levu tribe. Despite being at odds initially, they decided to work together and tried to woo Devon over to their side, which did not work, as he decided to work with Ashley and Alan instead. During their first Tribal appearance, with Jessica blocking Devon’s vote with an advantage, as well as Joe using his secret Idol, Alan went home, keeping Desi safe. She considered flipping on Joe if they returned to Tribal, but Levu managed to win the remaining immunity challenges until the merge.
At the merge, she reunited with her former Soko tribemates, aside from Roark. At the first Individual Immunity Challenge, she battled Ashley to win the first individual immunity. Expecting Chrissy to go, Desi’s alliance was blindsided when her ally Jessica went home instead, putting Desi at the bottom.
She did not manage to win the second individual immunity, although she came close. The other side decided to split the votes between Joe, whom they believed had an Idol, and Desi, whom they perceived as a dominant physical and social threat. Desi herself voted for Lauren. Due to a tie, a revote occurred, and Desi became the 8th person voted out in a 7-1 vote, becoming the first member of the jury on Day 21.  At Final Tribal Council, she commended Chrissy’s challenge wins and Ben’s Idol finds, but criticized Ryan’s game and work ethic. Ultimately, she voted for Ben to win, helping him become the Sole Survivor.
In 2013, Desi was crowned Miss Virginia and was crowned Miss Virginia USA in 2016 (placing in the top 10). At Ponderosa, she helped Miss Fiji with her pageant walk. Desi is the first and only black castaway to win the first post-merge individual immunity challenge of any season – Jolanda in Palau and G.C. in Gabon won pre-merge indivudal immunities, however. Despite their early dominance, at 11th place, she is the highest ranking Soko female. Desi lost 7 lbs. while on Survivor.  She is the co-author of the book Love Affair with my Hair: Why Black Women Cheat on Health. She is a former ful-time professor at Hampton University, her alma mater. She has recently relocated to Los Angeles to pursue on-camera hosting and acting opportunities. Despite her lack of camera time on Survivor, she would love to return.

(+/-) Jessica Johnston ~ S35: Heroes vs...

11 BlueBarracuda, Mar 7, 2018

Jessica was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Healer / Soko tribe due to her work as a nurse practitioner.
As part of the Soko tribe, Jessica enjoyed safety the first 8 days of the game, never going to Tribal Council. During the first 8 days, she was in a flirtmance with Cole, who disclosed secrets to her such as the fact that Joe had an Idol. Jessica was also part of the majority alliance on Soko with Roark, Desi, and Cole. On Day 9, Jessica was swapped to the Yawa tribe with Cole and Dr. Mike. Due to winning the award challenge, Jessica found an advantage allowing her to block the vote of someone on Levu, who went to Tribal. She disclosed this secretly to Mike and Cole, but Cole blabbed and told the outsiders about this, which wasn’t the first time he did this. She used her advantage to block Devon’s vote in order to protect the Soko members (Desi & Joe), causing Alan to go home.
Due to Cole being untrustworthy, Jessica grew closer to Dr. Mike, even helping him find a Hidden Immunity Idol, although she remained loyal to Cole. Like her time on Soko, she remained safe on Yawa, until the merge, when she became a member of the Solewa tribe.
At the merge, she re-alligned with Desi and Joe and hoped to form a majority alliance consisting of the remaining four Healers, as well as Ben and Lauren. However, Ben grew frustrated with Cole, so he and Lauren flipped to the opposing alliance. Although they had planned on targeting Cole or Joe, they switched their attention to Jessica, whom they felt was the least likely person to have an Idol, especially with fears that Joe or Cole did have one. Jessica joined the others of her alliance in voting for Chrissy, but was blindsided when she was voted out in a 7-5 vote, becoming the 7th person voted out on Day 19, just missing jury.
Dr. Jessica, Cole, and Dr. Mike won every pre-merge challenge, being the first castaways to do so. They are tied with Randy Bailey from Gabon with the most consecutive challenge wins with 10. She is the only female who made the merge who didn’t win Individual Immunity. Jessica is the third castaway to make the merge and voted out at the first Tribal Council they attended, after R.C. Saint-Amour from the Philippines and Nick Maiorano from Kaoh Rong. She is the only castaway with this distinction not to be a part of the jury, as RC and Nick were.  Jessica caught the Internet’s attention by declaring her virginity on the show several times. On February 15th, 2018, her beloved cat fell into the toilet. In addition to being an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Nuerosurgery in Louisville, she is the founder of Belovist, where she works as a personal trainer to help people have a better quality of life through health and wellness.

Ali was a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Hustler / Yawa tribe for her job as a personal assistant.
Ali found herself in a great position of power early on in the original Yawa tribe, easily forming bonds with her tribe mates, who wanted to work with her. Ali was part of the majority alliance with Devon and Ryan.  She also found herself working with her former neighbor in real life and college classmate Patrick, as well as forming bonds with Simone and Lauren. Yawa won the first immunity challenge, but lost the next two subsequently, forcing her to vote out Simone for being weak in challenges and Patrick for being unpredictable.
On Day 9, she and Ryan were moved to the Soko tribe after a tribe swap. She immediately bonded with Roark and formed an alliance with her and Ryan. Soko won it’s first immunity challenge as a new tribe, keeping Ali safe, but found herself going to Tribal on Day 14. She and Roark were on board to vote out Chrissy, but unbeknost to her, Ryan formed a bond with Chrissy and aligned with her; at Tribal Council, Ali was blindsided when Roark was voted out instead, putting Ali at the bottom with Ryan flipping on her. She confronted Ryan after Tribal and got into a heated argument with him.  Soko lost immunity once more on Day 16, so Ali buried the hatchet with Ryan and set her sights on voting out JP, whom she perceived as a physical threat with the merge looming. At Tribal, Ryan once again betrayed her, joining the others in unanimously voting out Ali 3-1 over JP, making her the 6th person voted out on Day 16.
Ali became the only person who swapped from their original tribe to be voted out pre-merge. She continues to work as the personal assistant for YouTube celebrity GloZell Green. She also maintains a close friendship with her female tribe mates Roark, Jessica, and Desi.

(+/-) Roark Luskin ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers..

9 BlueBarracuda, Feb 28, 2018

Roark is a castaway from Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. She was a member of the Healers / Soko tribe due to her work as a social worker.
Roark started the game in a great position. She was on the dominant Soko tribe which won the first four immunity challenges and she found herself in the majority alliance with Jessica, Cole, and Desi, who planned on targeting either Dr. Mike or Joe if they went to Tribal, although original Soko never did. On Day 9, a surprise tribe swap left Roark as the only original Soko to remain on New Soko, leaving her isolated in a tribe with two Hustlers (Ali & Ryan) and two Heroes (Chrissy & JP).  Chrissy immediately stated to Ryan and Ali that Roark had to go. She managed to form a tight bond with Ali from the Hustlers, who had Ryan under her finger. She tried to work over Chrissy, who ended up feeling threatened by Roark and lied to JP telling him Roark wanted an all female alliance. Ryan ended up flipping on Ali, leaving Roark and Ali in the minority. When it came down to tribal, Roark became the fifth person voted out of the game on Day 14 and the first Soko to leave the game, in a 3-2 vote to Chrissy due to the threat of an "all-girls alliance". She placed 14th overall.
Pre-game, Roark was good friends with Survivor villain Corinne Kaplan and appeared on her podcast several times. Sadly, she was the only Healer not to make the merge. Despite being under-edited, many of her tribe mates stated she was very strategic, although it did not factor into the larger story of the season. She was accused of being a robot by tribe mate Joe, who called her Ro-Dagger, which is slightly better than Chrissy's "Mrs. Smartypants" nickname. She is not a robot, as it turns out. Her favorite season is Panama - Exile Island and she describes herself as a love child between Courtney Yates and Sophie Clarke.

(+/-) Alan Ball ~ S35: Heroes vs. Healers vs...

2 BlueBarracuda, Feb 28, 2018

Alan is a castaway from Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. As a former NFL player, he was placed on the Heroes / Levu tribe.
Alan quickly became apart of the majority alliance on Levu, aligning himself with Ben, Ashley, and J.P. However, he became paranoid that Ashley and J.P. were becoming a powerful showmance, causing him to attempt to recruit Katrina and Chrissy to blindside Ashley and force J.P. to strip to prove he didn't have an Idol. Despite his paranoia, when Levu lost the first immunity challenge, he stayed true to his original alliance and joined the majority in unanimously voting out Katrina. Levu then went on an immunity run, keeping Alan safe, however, his behavior led Ben to distance himself away from Alan and form a tight alliance with Chrissy instead.
On Day 9, a tribe swap occured, with Alan and Ashley staying on Levu, along with Devon (Hustler), and Joe and Desi (Healers). On NewLevu, Alan burried the hatchet with Ashley and the two tried to pull in Devon to be a swing vote against the Healers. A twist resulted in Devon's vote being blocked, causing a 2-2 vote split between the Heroes and Healers. Joe read Ashley's facial expressions, played his Idol, causing Alan and Ashley's vote against Joe to be negated, causing Alan to be blindsided in a 2-0 vote. Alan became the fourth person voted out of the game on Day 11, the second Hero to leave, placing 15th overall.
Alan is the sixth former NFL player to play Survivor, following Gary Hogeboom, Grant Mattos, Steve Wright, Brad Culpepper, and Tyler Frederickson (as well as Coach Jimmy Johnson, if you include NFL-affiliated). Alan was drafted in round 7 of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, whom he played with until 2011. He applied for Survivor after getting injured with the Arizona Cardinals after signing with them. Played for several teams after the fact, Alan is currently a free agent in the NFL and planned on retiring at the end of 2017 if he wasn't selected by any teams --- an official announcement has yet to be made.

(+/-) Patrick Bolton ~ S35: Heroes vs...

7 BlueBarracuda, Feb 28, 2018

Patrick is a castaway on Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers and was a member of the Hustlers / Yawa  Tribe. As a small business owner, he was given the hustler designation in the tribe divisions.
Patrick quickly aligned with Ali on Day 1, whom he was neighbors with at Auburn University. Much to her disdain, he became a bit of a loose cannon and started annoying the rest of his tribe due to his clowning around, notably ginger hater Lauren Rimmer.  Although Yawa won their first immunity challenge on Day 3, Yawa lost the second, which put Patrick in the hot seat. Simone tried to campaign for him to go due to him being a wild card, but Patrick was saved when he and the others unanimously voted her out, feeling that Patrick was a better asset in challenges. Patrick continued rubbing his tribe mates the wrong way, openly searching for the Hidden Immunity Idol and things were made worse when he cost his tribe the immunity challenge due to his stubbornness and unwillingness to sub out.  Patrick apologized for costing Yawa the win and they convinced him that Lauren was the next to go. He confronted her in the ocean and she blamed him for costing her the game. Overconfident that Lauren was going, Patrick was completely blindsided when the rest of his tribe, even Ali, voted him out unanimously 4-1 over Lauren, becoming the third person voted out of the game and the second Yawa to leave.
Despite being only 24, Patrick was the oldest male on Yawa, becoming the youngest male to have the "oldest male of their tribe" designation. Patrick was also the first male to receive the votes of all of his tribe mates but not be voted out of their first tribal council and the sixth person overall (after Shii Ann Huang, Ashley Massaro, Alecia Holden, J'Tia Taylor, and Gillian Larson).
