I wanted to do a spin on a pantsuit to protray the masculine side but adding a bit of feminity to highlight her journey as a trans woman through showing a bit of skin and sending this message of body positivity no matter who you are

I chose this look because I feel it best embodies me for the challenge

Looking at the picture:
1- the neck scarf- the neck scarf and the way I’ve accustomed it is normally seen as a feminine accessory and for a male i pull it off effortlessly
2-the facial expression-that seductive look that shows off sexiness is most commonly a facial expression seen in females yet I do it well
3- the picture as a whole-it shows a gender bending scenario where a female could definitely pull it off and so can I

Looking at the inner qualities:
Assertiveness -my picture clearly shows that I can be a lioness or a lion(feminine)
Vulnerability- the way I’m holding onto my jacket
Passion- my facial expression I’m giving
Self care-my choice of clothing and how well and neatly I’m presented in the shot

NOTE: many of these qualities are qualities men possess too however historically women were more prone to have these qualities

I wanted to show Shaun in a gender nonconformist light. I believe the ambiguity of the image adds a sense of intensity and I thoroughly enjoy the shot.

Bae Yoon Young: I see the masculine qualities with the most obvious being the suit despite pants suits not being gender specific. I like the very serious facial expression and the hair pulled back that all exemplify male traits.

Chanel Iman: I’m on the fence with this photo honestly, on one hand, I see the masculine qualities being the Afro even though women wear Afros as well but it is mostly associated with Men and the suit in ways could go both ways because we can’t see the entire thing. I think you could’ve done better with the explanation it didn’t really give me much to work off of with your photo.

Valentina Sampaio: I really like your inspiration behind this photo but I wish you would've gone further with the challenge than just the outfit itself.

Cody Christian: I don’t think this shows the opposite gender at all, I guess you tried with the pink heart but it didn’t work out that well.

Natasha Poly: The photo itself was very small and blurry but from what I could see I’m not a fan of it because it doesn’t really correlate with what we would see from a man normally not so much the suit but the pose itself and what you are doing in the picture.

Bryce Thompson: I definitely see the feminine qualities and characteristics in this photo from the neck accessory to the glaring facial expression at the camera.

Shaun Ross: I really like this picture for a few reasons, I like the outfit itself is definitely feminine with the skirt and coat. I think the pose itself is very feminine as well.

Sui He: I think this is a very good photo, the facial expression looks very masculine and the cigarette in hand which is typically something you’d see from a man so great job!
