(As always, please do not read this if you are not caught up with the television series of Game of Thrones as it may have some spoilers. Please comment at the end, and if you wish to be message when episode 4 comes out…probably Saturday, let me know.)
“Welcome to Big Brother Westeros.” Julie Chen says. “Last week, Daenerys Targaryen won HOH, and nominated Lord Balish, and Lord Varys. Westeros voted, and decided Lord Balish should be this week’s BB MVP. He used his power to nominate Lord Eddard Stark. Eddard’s son, Jon, won the POV, but was then talked out of using the power by Tywin Lannister, leaving nominations the same. Then, I revealed houseguests do not get to vote for eviction, you do. So who did you choose to evict? We’ll find out shortly. But first, emotions flare in the house, including romance.”
Hours Earlier…
Roose Bolton watches as Robb Stark and Talisa sit in the hammock together, laughing and flirting. Roose looks around, sees nobody around, and approaches the two. “Robb, I have to advice against this.” He says, referring to Talisa.
“I’ll take that into consideration.” Robb says with a smile on his face, nearly mocking Roose. He turns back to Talisa.
“You are to be wed to Walder Frey’s daughter, at least take this to a more private setting.” Roose explains.
Robb stops to think for a moment, then looks to Talisa who has a wide smile on her face. “Actually, that sounds like a plan.” He says. He and Talisa stand up, and just as they do, Walder Frey walks outside. “Thank you,” Robb whispers to Roose, “keep an eye on him for me.” Roose nods, and Robb and Talisa head inside.
Catelyn Stark opens the door to head to the next room to find Robb and Talisa in bed together. “Robb!” She shouts.
“Yes?” He asks.
“Do you have no honor? You are supposed to marry Walder Frey’s daughter. Imagine what he will do if he finds out what, or whom, you are doing.” Catelyn says.
“He won’t find out. I left Roose Bolton there to watch him.” Robb replies.
“And what of the Lannisters?” Catelyn asks.
“Theon is watching them for me.” Robb replies.
“You must end this, now Robb, before it ruins us.” Catelyn replies.
“I will not, I love her.” Robb says.
“You do not love her. You are engaged to Walder Frey’s daughter, you will learn to love her instead.” Catelyn says. She sees Robb isn’t listening to her. “Robb!” She shouts, though he still ignores her. Eventually Catelyn leaves the room.
Hours Later…
The houseguests all sit together in the living room, knowing Julie will announce the eviction any moment.
“Houseguests, the vote are in, the eliminated houseguest will have on moments to gather his belonging and walk out the front door.” Julie says. “Lord Varys, with no votes, you are safe. By a vote, of 4 to 1, Lord Balish, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house.”
Petyr looks around angry before heading to the door. Several houseguests, including Lord Varys and Lord Eddard Stark try to say their goodbyes, but Lord Balish ignores them all. He leaves, and then joins Julie on the couch outside the Big Brother house.
“Petyr, I did not expect to see you out here this early. You were clearly a popular houseguest, receiving the most votes for MVP, but what went wrong?” Julie asks.
“Certain houseguests were threatened by me, and plotted to get me out; one in particular.” Lord Balish replies.
“Houseguests left goodbye messages in the event you were the one evicted this week, let’s listen to what they say.” Julie says.
Lord Varys appears on the screen. “Petyr, you are a good friend, but I am glad you are out there, and I am in here.” He says with a smile
The screen switches to Tywin Lannister. “Lord Balish, I don’t trust you, I never trusted you, but I like you more than any of the Starks. In that respect, I would have rather see you stay this week.” He says, showing no emotion.
Catelyn appears on the screen next. “Petyr, you are like a brother to me. I will miss you after you are gone.” She says.
“Well I do have some good news for you still; your chance at Big Brother is not entirely over. You, and other evicted houseguests will be sequestered, and you may have a chance to get back inside.” Julie says.
“Thank you Julie.” Lord Balish replies.
The twenty-four remaining houseguests make their way outside for this week’s HOH competition. Julie’s voice is heard by the houseguests. “Houseguests, it’s time for this week’s HOH competition. Daenerys, as outgoing head of household you are not eligible to compete. This completion is named ‘Hodor,’ and I have a special guest to help us out this week.” She says.
“Hodor!” Hodor says.
“Here’s how this competition works. Two at a time, you will square off with a trivia question, asked by Hodor.” Julie says.
“Hodor!” Hodor says again.
“Thank you Hodor.” Julie says. “The person who gets the question right stays alive and selects the next two houseguests to square off. If you get the question wrong then the other houseguests stays alive and selects who is up next. If neither houseguest answers in the allotted time, then both houseguests will be eliminated, and the next two houseguests will be randomly chosen. Jamie Lannister, and Margery Tyrell, you two were randomly selected to go first.”
Jamie and Margery take their positions at the podium, hands hovering over their buzzers. “Hodor?” Hodor asks.
Jamie and Margery look at each other confused. After a few seconds they hear a buzzer. “I’m sorry, time is up. You are both eliminated.” Julie says.
“You have to be kidding me!” Jamie shouts.
“Stannis Baratheon and Melisandre, you two are next.” Julie says.
Stannis and Melisandre take their positions. “Hodor?” Hodor asks.
Melisandre quickly presses her buzzer. “The Lord of Light.” She replies. He hears a buzzer.
“I’m sorry, that is incorrect.” Julie says. “Stannis, you move on, choose your selections.”
“Tywin Lannister and Cersei Lannister.”
Twin and Cersei both get in position. “Press your buzzer!” Tywin says forcefully to Cersei.
“No!” Cersei replies.
“Hodor?” Hodor asks.
“We gain control even if you answer wrong. Press your buzzer!” Tywin says again, just as forcefully.
After a moment of hesitation Cersei complies, pressing her buzzer. “Yes.” Cersei answers, hoping to guess right.
“I’m sorry, that is incorrect.” Julie replies. “You are eliminated. Tywin, make your selections.”
“Robb Stark and Ned Stark.” Tywin says.
Robb and Eddard get in position. “Hodor?” Hodor asks.
Robb pauses for a moment then hits his buzzer. “Hodor.” Robb replies.
“That is correct.” Julie replies. “Make you selections.”
“Joffery Baratheon and Tywin Lannister.” Robb says.
Joffery and Tywin square off at the podium. “Hodor?” Hodor asks.
Joffery quickly hits his buzzer, shouting out “Hodor!”
“That is correct. Make your selections.” Julie says.
“Stannis Baratheon and Tyrion Lannister.” Joffery says with an evil grin.
“What?” Tyrion shouts stunned by Joffery’s selections. “You are mad at me because I stand up to you, but now isn’t the time to get even!”
Tyrion rolls his eyes then walks over to the podium across from Stannis. “Hodor?”
Tyrion slams his buzzer then calmly says, “Hodor.”
“That’s correct, make your selections.” Julie says.
“As much as I would like to send Joffery up, it would not be wise to do so. Robb Stark and Catelyn Stark.”
Robb and Catelyn face off at the podium. “Hodor?” Hodor asks.
Robb hits his buzzer first. “Julie Chen.” Robb says.
“Robb, what are you doing?” Catelyn asks.
“I’m sorry, Robb, that is incorrect. Catelyn make your selections.” Julie says.
“Tyrion Lannister and Joffery Lannister.” Catelyn says with a smile.
“I am a Baratheon!” Joffery shouts. Catelyn doesn’t respond, only smiles. Joffery and Tyrion square off. “Perhaps they should get you a box to stand on.” Joffery says to Tyrion.
“Ho…”Hodor starts to ask, but Tyrion hits his buzzer before he finishes.
“Hodor!” Tyrion says.
“That is correct.” Julie says. “Make your selections.”
“That isn’t fair. He didn’t finish his question!” Joffery shouts.
“She never said he had to.” Tyrion snap back. “Catelyn and Jon Snow” Tyrion says.
Catelyn and Jon get in position. “H…”Hodor starts, but Catelyn has already hit her buzzer.
“Hodor.” She replies.
“Make your selections.” Julie says.
“Tyrion and the hound.” Catelyn says.
Tyrion and Sandor face off. Sandor holds his buzzer down before Hodor even reads off his question. “Hodor?” Hodor asks. Tyrion hits his buzzer, and despite Sandor holding the buzzer down, it never registers.
“Hodor.” Tyrion says.
“Bullshit!” Sandor shouts. “I was holding the button down!”
“You need to release the buzzer before it registers.” Julie replies. “Tyrion, make your selections.
“Catelyn and Brienne of Tarth.” Tyrion says.
“Hodor?” Hodor asks.
Brienne hits her buzzer first. “My lady.” She says before walking away from the podium.
“I’m sorry, that is incorrect. Catelyn, make your selections.” Julie says.
“Tyrion and Davos Seaworth.” Catelyn says.
Tyrion has an idea. He holds the buzzer down as Sandor tried last time. “H…” Hodor begins. Tyrion releases his buzzer the moment he hears Hodor speak, ensuring he hits his buzzer first. The trick works. “Hodor.” He says.
“That is correct, make you selections.” Julie responds.
“Catelyn and Sansa Stark.” Tyrion says.
Catelyn prepare herself, but didn’t see the trick Tyrion used. “Ho…” Hodor starts. Catelyn quickly hits the buzzer before Sansa, but knowing she would have been slower than Tyrion if it came down to the two of them. “Hodor.” Catelyn says.
“That’s correct. Make your selections.” Julie says.
“Tyrion and Lord Varys.” Catelyn says.
Tyrion readies himself to perform his trick again. “H…” Hodor says, before Tyrion hits his buzzer.
“Hodor.” Tyrion replies.
“That’s correct, make your selections.” Julie says.
“Catelyn and Theon Greyjoy.” Tyrion says.
Catelyn sees Theon just repeatedly hitting his buzzer before Hodor has said anything. She begins to do the same. “H…” Hodor says.
“Hodor.” Catelyn says.
“That is correct. Make your selections.”
“Tyrion and Gendry.” She says.
Gendry begins to repeatedly hit his buzzer while Tyrion stands by his trick. “H…” Hodor begins.
“Tyrion, you were first.” Julie replies.
“Hodor.” He says.
“That is correct, make your selections.” Julie replies.
“Catelyn and Roose Bolton.” Tyrion says.
“Hold the buzzer down, and release it the second Hodor starts to speak.” Robb shouts to Catelyn, watching Tyrion’s trick work for the past few rounds.
She listens while Roose repeatedly taps the buzzer. “H…” Hodor begins.
“Hodor.” Catelyn says.
“That’s correct, make your selections.” Julie says.
Catelyn sees only Tyrion, Arya, Walder Frey, Talisa, and herself are left. “Tyrion and Walder Frey.” Catelyn says.
Tyrion performs his trick again, and it works just like before. “Hodor.” He says.
“That’s correct, make your selections.” Julie says.
“Catelyn and Arya.” Tyrion says.
Catelyn performs the trick as well, eliminating her daughter. “Hodor.” She says.
“Only Tyrion and Talisa are left. You two are next.” Julie says.
Tyrion performs the trick again, eliminating Talisa. “Hodor.” He says.
“Catelyn step up to the podium please.” Julie says. “Good luck, the winner of this wins HOH.”
Both Tyrion and Catelyn prepare themselves for the trick. “H…” Hodor begins.
“Hodor.” Tyrion says.
“I’m sorry, but Catelyn hit her buzzer first.” Julie says.
Catelyn smiles. “Hodor!”
“Congratulations Catelyn Stark, you are this week’s head of household!” Julie shouts.
Hours later…
Catelyn walks into her HOH room for the first time. Inside is a note waiting for her, written by her son Bran.
“Dear mother,
Rickon and I are so proud to hear how you are doing. I am glad to see father survived this week’s eviction. Please make sure a Stark wins. Good luck, we are both rooting for you all.
Love, Bran.”
Catelyn begins to tear up thinking of her two children who are not in the house. She already knows her two nominations.
Days later…
Catelyn gathers everyone to the living room. “It’s time for the nomination ceremony.” Catelyn says. Everyone sits at the table in the living room. “This is the nomination ceremony. I will pull out the first key, and this houseguest is safe. That houseguest will do the same and so on. Ned, you are safe.”
“Thank you. Robb, you are safe.” Eddard says.
“Arya, you are safe.” Robb says.
“Sansa, you are safe.” Arya says.
“Brienne, you are safe.” Sansa says.
“Roose Bolton, you are safe.” Brienne says.
“Theon Greyjoy, you are safe.” Roose says.
“Jon Snow, you are safe.” Theon says.
“Daenerys, you are safe.” Jon says.
“Walder Frey, you are safe.” Daenerys says.
“Talisa you are safe.” Walder says.
“Lord Varys, you are safe.” Talisa says.
“Good to finally see one of these.” Lord Varys says. “Gendry you are safe.”
“Margery Tyrell, you are safe.” Gendry says.
“Davos Seaworth, you are safe.” Margery says.
“Stannis, you are safe.” Davos says.
“Melisandre, you are safe.” Stannis says.
Tywin looks around the room, knowing he is now in trouble. Tyrion, Cersei, Jamie, Sandor Clegane, Joffery, and himself are the six without keys.
“Sandor, you are safe.” Melisandre says.
“Cersei, you are safe.” Sandor says.
“Joffery, you are safe.” Cersei says.
Tywin, Tyrion, and Jamie are the three it comes down to. They all know only one of the three of them will be safe, the other two nominated.
“Tywin, you are safe.” Joffery says.
”Tyrion and Jamie, I have nominated the two of you.” Catelyn says. “I know one of you is responsible for pushing Bran out the window and crippling him, but I do not know which, therefore I’ll nominate you both and assume the Gods to be just. With that, the nomination ceremony is over.”
Westeros, it’s time to vote for this week’s BB MVP. Choose any houseguest; the one with the most votes will receive this special power. In the case of a tie, I will choose the MVP.
