Big Brother Westeros - Episode 2 - Game of Thrones

Jul 13, 2013 by shaun_m77
As I said before, don't read this if you are not caught up with the tv series.

“I have nominated you, Lord Balish, and you Lord Varys. You are both intellectual threats who both want me out. Nothing personal, it is just what I needed to do. With that, the nomination ceremony is over.” Daenerys says.

Lord Balish and Lord Varys walk away from the table after the nomination ceremony, separating themselves from the rest of the houseguests.
“It appears Lord Eddard Stark is not as honorable as he is claimed to be.” Lord Varys tells Petyr. “There were three people in the room when we spoke of targeting Daenerys, two of which are now on the block.”
Tyrion Lannister enters the room. “I’m sorry about the nominations.” He says, though clearly happy to not be in their position. Petyr wants to ask him to leave, but before he can, he is joined with more Lannisters. Jamie, Cersei, Tywin, and Joffery all enter the room. Before anyone can begin strategizing, Petyr is called to the diary room.

After Petyr leaves, Lord Varys pleads his case. “I hope none of you plan on keeping him. He cannot be trusted.” He claims.
“Anyone who trusts Littlefinger is a fool!” Tywin snaps.
“If he wins he is not going to just hand over the crown to Joffery, or anyone.” Lord Varys says.
“He cannot do that!” Joffery shouts.
“He can, and will. Does Petyr seem like the person to willingly hand over any form of power?” Lord Varys asks. "You forget, this whole competition was his idea, more than likely the only way he can become king of Westeros."
“You must really hate Petyr, going this far to undermine him.” Tyrion states.
“On the contrary.” Lord Varys exclaims. “I rather enjoy him, however, he would see this country burn if he could be king of the ashes.”
“It doesn’t matter what he decides, or what anyone decides. I am the king!” Joffery shouts.
“Any man who must say ‘I am the king’ is no true king!” Tywin Lannister replies.
"My father won the real war. He killed Prince Rhaegar. He took the crown while you hid under Casterly Rock!" Joffery shouts. Everyone in the room stares between the two.
“The king is tired. He needs his rest.” Tywin calmly replies.
“I am not tired!” Joffery shouts. Cersei begins to lead her son out of the room. “I am not tired!”

Petyr Balish enters the diary room to find an envelope waiting for him. He carefully opens the envelope and read the note inside. “I have been chosen as this week’s Big Brother MVP.” Petyr says. “This should make things very interesting.”

Daenerys Targaryen gathers everyone in the living room. “It’s time for the POV competition!” She shouts. She waits for everyone to join her. Daenerys, Petyr, and Lord Varys all stand in front of the rest of the room. “Before we do, we must first see who the MVP has secretly nominated.” Lord Eddard Stark’s picture flashes on the screen. “The MVP has nominated you Eddard.” Daenerys says. Eddard nods then joins the rest of the nominees in front of the rest of the group.
Petyr talks to the camera in the diary room about why he nominated Eddard. “I invested a lot of time and information on Eddard, but it’s clear I am not going to get anything in return from him. I nominated Eddard, not in vengeance from having me nominated, but simply because he was a bad investment, and I hate bad investments.”
“I will now draw two names that will also compete in this week’s POV competition.” Daenerys says. “Jon Snow.” She says as she pulls out the first name. Jon joins everyone in front of the rest of the group. “Catelyn Stark.” Daenerys says as she pulls the second name.
“I am also to choose a host for this competition. I choose Magarey.  Daenerys says.

The twenty-five houseguests head outside to view the POV competition. Outside is a giant bow, which fires a giant foam arrow. On the ground several dozen feet away are tubes, each with small gaps between the next tube and each with numbers ranging 1-10 on them, ten being closest to the center.
“Houseguests, I hope you are aiming for the POV.” Magarey says, reading from a cue card. “One-by-one, you will shoot an arrow into to air, trying to score as high as possible. Whichever tube your arrow lands in will be your score for that round, and the lowest score in each round will be eliminated. If your arrow fails to land in a tube, you score a 0. If there is a tie, you two will fire again. Everyone understand the rules?” She asks. Everyone does. “We have randomly selected, and Catelyn, you are first.”
Catelyn fires first but misses her mark completely, not even making it close to a tube. She steps away, and Eddard is next. He fires, landing in the four spot. Petyr fires next, hitting the ten on his first shot. Daenerys fires, landing her arrow in the six. Jon fires, bouncing his arrow off and out of the seven. Lord Varys is last, and he lands the arrow in the five.
“Catelyn and Jon, because you both scored zeros, you must now each fire again. If you both score a zero here, you will both be eliminated.” Margery says.
Catelyn fires first, making it in the three this time. Jon is next to fire, landing his arrow as well, but his lands in the eight.
“I’m sorry, Catelyn, you are eliminated.” Margery says. Catelyn joins everyone else watching the POV competition.
Eddard is first to fire this time. He lands his arrow in the two. Petyr is second, landing his arrow in the five. Daenerys is next, landing her arrow in the eight.  Jon steps up, and lands his arrow in the six. Lord Varys is last to fire again, this time landing his arrow in the four.
“I’m sorry, Eddard, you are also eliminated.” Margery says. Eddard steps away from the competition upset, knowing he needed to win, and should have with this competition. Petyr quickly smiles.
Petyr fires first, landing the arrow in the four. Daenerys is next, and barely misses the nine spot. Jon is next, and he lands a seven. Lord Varys is last, and he scores and eight.
“I’m sorry Daenerys, you are eliminated.” Margery says. Daenerys steps away from the competition, wishing she won, but knowing she is fine regardless.
Petyr fires first again, landing the arrow in the two spot. Jon fires second, landing his arrow in the five spot. Lord Varys fires last, and lands his arrow in the six.
“I’m sorry, Petyr, you scored the lowest so you are now eliminated.” Margery says. Petyr steps away upset, knowing he could have gotten even more power.
Jon fires first, scoring an eight. “Great shot.” Margery says. “Lord Varys, you will need to score a nine or a ten to win the POV.” Lord Varys fires, and lands an eight as well. “It is a tie.” Margery says. “You two will need to fire again.” Jon fires first again, landing in the nine. “Great shot, Lord Varys you need a ten to win.”
Lord Varys takes his time to aim where he needs to. He fires and watches his arrow head towards the ten tubes, but instead of going in, it clips to top of the tube, and falls next to it. “I’m sorry Lord Varys, you scored a zero. Congratulations Jon Snow, you’ve won the golden power of veto!” Margery shouts, though inside she is not excited. Jon quickly runs over and grabs his prize, holding it in the air. He looks to his father, Eddard, who claps with pride.

Jon walks inside, and it is not even five minutes after the competition when he is approached by Tywin Lannister. “Congratulations on your victory, you clearly earned it.” Tywin tells Jon, though he knows something is hiding behind Tywin’s recognition.
“Thank you.” Jon replies skeptical.
“I have to come clean.” Tywin says. “I was the one who nominated Eddard.”
“You are the MVP this week?” Jon asks.
“Of course.” Tywin replies.
“So, why are you telling me this?” Jon asks.
“So you fully understands what happens if you remove Eddard from the block. See, I want Eddard on the block for the treasonous behavior he performed in King’s Landing. I have nothing against you, or the rest of your family, just him. I would hate for this to change and have to turn against all the Starks instead of just the one.” Tywin says. Jon listens without acknowledging anything Tywin tells him. “Blatantly put, if Eddard comes down, your brother, Robb, goes up.”

Hours Later…

Jon sits, wondering what he should do. Should he leave his father on the block, or remove him, ensuring his brother gets placed there instead? He gathers everyone to the living room.
“As you all know, I won the Power of Veto this week. With this, I have the power to veto one of the three nominations.” Jon says. “As much as I would like to save all of you, for each of you that are removed, another must go in your place. With that being said, I choose not to use the power of veto.” Jon says, putting his power of veto necklace back in the box, closing it. Jon and everyone else begin walking away at the end of the POV ceremony, but Julie stops them, regrouping everyone in the living room.

“Houseguests, now that we have this week’s three nominees, it’s time to reveal our next surprise.” Julie says. “You will not vote to evict each other, Lords of Westeros outside the house will.”
“What?” Joffery shouts stunned.
“This will happen every week, including the final week in determining the winner. If there is a tie, then the head of household will make his or her choice in who to evict.” Julie says.

It’s time for your vote Westeros; should we evict Lord Petyr Balish, Lord Eddard Stark, or Lord Varys? The choice is yours. Next episode, one nominee will be evicted, head of household will be played, the balance of power will be shifted, and two new nominees will be made.
