If you do not yet already know, tomorrow is the Loved Ones Visit for Survivor: David vs. Goliath. I saw on Twitter this morning that a lot of people HATE the Loved Ones Visit. They call it boring, cheesy, and one person even claimed it was the only wrong thing about the show.
In my opinion, I have enjoyed them and looked forward to them. They are probably one of the best rewards, along with the Survivor Ambassadors of Goodwill. They have produced moments like Adam's ability to steal a reward in MvGX, Johnny Fairplay's dead grandma, and many emotional moments. Val visiting Jeremy in Cambodia. Spencer's sister in Cagayan. In my opinion, these moments allow us to see another side of the contestants.
I think they're super cheesy and a scapegoat to force us to see humanizing content 100% but they're definitely FAR from the "only thing wrong with the show" tbh the idea/concept isn't even a bad one but the way they handle it is super cringey.
Also the loves ones visit is notorious for having someone good go home that same ep so its rly just the new car curse. Also semi unrelated, bring back the auction. Don't have an idol clue/advantage and let them just bet on food so it can be interesting again/have the letters and or family visit coincide with the auction like they did in tocantins
