If you don't know me, I am a fairly irrelevant user who found himself in controversy on the blogs page last night. Regarding the 2012 and 2014 blogs, those weren't purposely made in support of antisemitism but I understand how my stupid little kid brain made those seem as if they weren't in good taste.
I don't think those blogs are the issue, although they served as the initial catalyst. The blogs that are the issue are the ones that were made a year or so ago in which I make several "jokes" that trivialize the tragedy of the holocaust, as well as harass Jewish users of the site.
Let me state this loud and clear: nothing I say and no excuse I give excuses the impact of these posts on the users affected. This isn't me saying they weren't a big deal or anything of the sort.
Last night I got to talk to one of the users affected and I think it was a good talk and if anyone else would like to have a conversation with me, I am fully open as long as you are. I am not entitled to have a dialogue with those I have hurt but I would like to.
Those blogs were attempts to be funny and troll but they crossed a line and I have regretted them for awhile. I have distanced myself from this site and the blogs page and resorted to basically just betting. The past year has been one of reflection on how past "jokes" and rhetoric of mine have been harmful and I have been attempting to make a change.
At first, I just distanced myself from here and ignored it, but that wasn't productive and didn't help those affected.
Now, you can believe that I am sincere for not. My reputation on Tengaged dot com is not something that concerns me. What concerns me is making efforts to educate myself and hopefully rectify past wrongs. The people who brought this to light did so in retaliation to a frookies and so they can get attention on the blogs page. It's stupid but I am glad for it because it has forced me to stop avoiding the issue and actually just face it head on.
Once again, you can believe whatever you want about me or my character, I just hope that I do not slip into such immature and bigoted actions again.
EDIT: also, I have deleted said blogs not to cover my tracks (screenshots still exist obviously) but because of the hurt that they caused. They should never have stayed up as long as they did.
