Tomorrow, I graduate high school. It's insane to me that when I joined this website, I was twelve years old (whoops), and in middle school. Now I'm about to cross the stage and get my diploma.
I'd be lying if I said that this website didn't influence my teenage years. I have so many memories, whether it be running to the bathroom during my math class to check Hunger, or pull an all-nighter to make sure I didn't go up at DC in Stars, even when I had school the next day.
Through it all though, I have to say one thing this website did was toughen me up. We all know, the internet can be mean, duh. But I would say this little corner of the Internet, this specific website, is one that at times, more often than not, has been super toxic. When I might have thought about how some people were so mean to me (and they definitely were), at the end of it all, I've learned how to deal with negativity, and now know that perception is everything. If I want to be treated better, I needed to be a better person. I also needed to grow up. This site being a mix of all ages, it really did that.
I'm really horrible at speaking, but I just wanted to say how grateful I am for this site. I grew up on here, and I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for Tengaged lol.
