Apparently a new Opt out system has happened for organ donations. if you live in the UK this will matter to you, other people it won't. If there is no recorded decision for you on the NHS Organ Donor Register, it will be assumed that you want to be an organ donor when you die. This will come with many disadvantages than good. For one only the best matches for the organ will go together so your DEAD body might not even be used. This will also affect the way we handle dead bodies and it will probably already be decomposing. This may also affect funerals. I will definitely be opting out as soon as i can (April 2020) and i advise you do to as would you like you dead body to be disturbed by people cutting you up and putting your organs in another person body. Completely sickened by the fact the government have introduced this.
I understand that a lot of people are against it because of people like alcholics almost taking advantage of organ donation to get a new liver. But think about the good it could bring. I would love to know when I die that I could possibly give a young child who was blind the gift of sight. When you are dead you are dead, whats the point in wasting what you dont need anymore?
