but I just wanted to come on and be really serious for a second.
After World War II, a contest was created designed to unite Europe after it had been divided for so long. 80 years later the contest is still alive today and watched by millions.
When I think of the values of Eurovision: I think of diversity, tolerance, love and acceptance. Israel stands for none of that. This has been a dark cloud over the whole contest this year and I've tried to suppress it and continue on as though nothing has happened but I can no longer keep silent.
What's happening right now is a very scary situation and the Palestinian voices are being suppressed. Hamas 100% should not have done what they did and they need to face the consequences of their actions. That does not give the right for Israel to commit war crimes and commit a genocide of the palestinian people.
That is what Eurovision is NOT about. It's not meant to be political, yet i see a song title called 'October Rain' and even though it changed to 'Hurricane' it still has political lyrics clearly indicating the conflict. Martin Osterdahl has allowed the contest to be in ruin
The whole situation has made me fall out of love with the contest, it's put a dark stain and I can no longer support a competition that promotes and endorses a genocide. It's disgusting, it's wrong and it really makes me upset
What Charlotte Perelli said about Eric Saade is absolutely abhorent. Eric has every right to celebrate his palestinian heritage, and the fact that the EBU have been complacent and have banned Palestinian flags is awful and they should be ashamed. People have a right to demand peace, justice and love which is exactly the morals we should be promoting
Artists like Bambie Thug and Olly Alexander are brave humans for standing up for what's right. The way Israeli journalists have acted actively harrassing these two and their team is also abhorent and shows how disconnected we have become
Eurovision's slogan is 'United in Music' and by god, how disunited we've become. The EBU have made a grave error, and if Israel ends up winning on Saturday - the contest has been destroyed and it's reputation is ruined.
I've tried hard to ignore this, but it feels impossible and immoral to not speak up for the voiceless. Please donate to any Palestinian charity you can <3
I usually do this every year, and in 2021 got 10/10 for Semi final 1! Let's see how well I do this year XD
In semi 2, in order of likelihood, these are the countries I believe will qualify
MOST LIKELY
Switzerland - Nemo "The Code"
Netherlands - Joost Klein "Europapa"
Norway - Gate "Ulveham"
Georgia - Nutsa "Firefighter"
Greece - Marina Satti "Zari"

Belgium - Mustii "Before The Party's Over"
Estonia - 5MIINUST & Puuluup "(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (kull) midagi"
LEAST LIKELY
So from most likely to qualify to least likely, here are the NQs
Malta - Sarah Bonicci "Loop"
Czechia - Aiko "Pedestal"
San Marino - Megara "11:11"
Denmark - Saba "Sand"
Latvia - Dons "Hollow"
Albania - Besa "TiTAN"
A much more open semi, I only really see Albania and Latvia as the countries who are DOA. I'm somewhat happy with my top 10, I do believe we are in for a shock tonight and I'm really hoping Malta or Czechia make it in! They deserve it so much. This is purely based on vibes but I'm not very confident that these predictions will be perfect.
Based on my overall rankings, here's who I would pick to qualify Semi Final 2
Georgia - Nutsa "Firefighter"
Armenia - Ladaniva "Jako"
Greece - Marina Satti "Zari"
Estonia - 5MIINUST & Puuluup "(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (kull) midagi"
Netherlands - Joost Klein "Europapa"
Denmark - SABA "Sand"
Czechia - Aiko "Pedestal"
Malta - Sarah Bonicci "Loop"
Austria - Kaleen "We Will Rave"

Latvia - Dons "Hollow"
Albania - Besa Kokedhima "TiTAN"
XX.
Very different to my predictions, let me knows yours xx
Also, I hope any who is in malmo stays safe regarding the current situation with Israel's participation. The EBU has made a dangerous decision and I hope everyone is okay right now <3 Sending my love!
Overall a really good semi final, great to be back in Sweden with my girl Petra! Overall not too mad with the qualifiers, got 9/10 which I'm pleased about. Hopefully we can one up that on Thursday and get 10/10
Serbia - Immediately I got a prediction wrong, but my only one. I kept swapping this and Slovenia over and over again and then it ended up that they both made it through. Solid performance, not my favourite but it definitely deserved to qualify and keep Serbia's qualification streak intact!
Portugal - Very well deserved! Iolanda has an extremely powerful voice and I love the use of white. Portugal is really in their renaissance era and this was a very pretty performance. 4/4 for Portugal and its been very deserved. Hopefully we return to Lisbon soon <3
Slovenia - Toss and turned with Veronika and it went through! Despite it being one of the more forgettable songs of the year for me, Raiven really put her heart into this performance and deserved the qualification. I'm really glad Slovenia is being more appreciated as a country and hope to see it as a contender soon!
Ukraine - One of my favourites this year. Really beautiful live. Jerry Heil was amazing but I got CHILLS when alyona alyona came on. As a fan of hers for a while it was really lovely to see her get her chance in the spotlight and they both did an excellent job. Ukraine once again deserved to keep their 100% qualification streak!
Lithuania - Another really strong performance. Silvester Belt really is a professional and made the whole thing from second 1 really slick. This will be vibe on Saturday although I am predicting a mid-to-low placement
Finland - fuck off
Cyprus - Another fun performance. Was starting to get a bit worried for Silia by this point. Thought Poland might have gotten in instead of her. Nothing exciting but it was a good performance and I'm happy to see Cyprus in the final with another Aussie!
Croatia - Obvious! This was a moment tonight and if this ended up winning I wouldn't be annoyed. The crowd went wild and I was so happy for him. Zagreb 2025
Ireland - Now, this was something special. Ireland over the years has played it safe and it's not worked to their advantage. I'm so proud that they have stepped out their comfort zone and gone with an act that is finally interesting and offers something original and unique. We've not seen anything like this apart from maybe Hatari but even that is a HUNDRETH of the art this was. Bambie is an amazing performer and really sold this song. Every part of this was slick and polished and performed to perfection. It truly was one of the best performances I've seen in my 8 years of watching Eurovision. Up there with the likes of Chanel, this WILL be remembered. I've had such a journey with Bambie, and I'm so glad I get to appreciate their music because they truly are an artiste! Welcome back to the final Ireland we've missed you loads, and hopefully we will see you in the top 10 and maybe Dublin 2025? I'm being serious, don't rule this out as a contender
Luxembourg - you see I knew this was going to qualify after seeing who was left. It was obvious they'd reveal the country who had left the contest for 30 years as the last one to qualify from the semi. Tonight was all about Luxembourg and idk, I felt very impartial to it. Probably the only one I felt like downgraded from the studio. Still a really fun performance and I'm glad to see Luxembourg in the final!
NQ's
Poland - I got this so wrong! I believed diaspora would work in Poland's favour but this shows noone is safe from the televote. I'm actually a little sad just because I love The Tower and I've been following Luna for a while, but tbf it was somewhat justified. Just didn't really stand out in between all the heavy hitters (Ireland, Ukraine, Croatia). Sad to see you out of the final Poland! Come back soon <3
Moldova - Probably the most robbed in my opinion. Natalia really made this into a competent product and sold the shit out of it. It deserved to qualify and I'm always a sucker for a violin now and again. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this got 11th.
Australia - You see a small part of me saw a opportunity for Australia and I actually ended up enjoying this, but it was just a weak song that didn't stand out. shame.
Azerbaijan -I liked this aswell! I can see why Azerbaijan didn't qualify tho, they have been struggling a lot since the juries got removed from the semi final, then again - can justify it when they send low effort entries
