BBAU gets an outstanding amount of comments stating it's the best english speaking Big Brother or the best Big Brother in the world. I tried to watch last season's BBAU but I never finished after only watching an hour of the premiere cause it was just after BBUK14 and I couldn't deal w/ following another show every single day for 70+ days.
The host is so annoying and I hate how the studio is inside. But yeah what is better? The tasks? The people? The production? Editing? Nomination process (I notice they do points or something), the eviction process?
The production doesn't do any rigging at all. Think of BBUK without rigging. That's basically it. Plus they have a lot more unique twists. They are like the trendsetter for twists. BBAU was the first series to do 2 separate houses that later merged into 1, the housemates secret twist, they had twins swapping places (i believe it happened the same year BBUS did it).
OH AND THE NOMS SYSTEM
It is completely different from the UK. Each week the housemates nominate 2 housemates except they give 1 housemate 1 point and the other 2 points. The 2 or more housemates with the most total points go up. SO... it adds more strategy where the person out of your 2 noms that you hate more you give 2.
evildoer666 Oh that's interesting. In the last season did they ever do something where the entire house gets nominated like they typically do once a season in BBUK? (I hate that so much).
Also is it a vote to evict, save, or both? I read a wikipedia for one season a loong time ago and saw they did evict and save and I thought that was super cool.
Timster yeah bbau is awesome, the cast are always perfect, they have a lot better twists than the uk, the host isn't that great but is tolerable
as for eviction it started as vote to evict, then became vote to save and evict, the it was cancelled, after if was revived it has been just vote to save which i like
I watched BB10 (last years) and it was my favorite of the 4 (US/Can/UK/Aussie) because we got to know the characters, but there was still strategy. They have nomination superpowers, which is given by a competition and the winner gets an advantage in the nominations, and a competition/task for a save and replace. Where you save 1 nominee, and replace them with the other.
So it is a cool combo of US/UK
