No lint licker it's not scripted. They don't have scripts to rehearse and prepare to shoot. It's called reality tv because it's unscripted (unless it's like a reality competition show where things are planned like challenges and eliminations) and they just go with the flow. Some people play up to the cameras, while others don't. Sometimes production manipulates people into acting a certain way for entertainment but it's called reality tv for the most part because it's ~supposed~ to be real reactions and not fake characters playing a role!

Everybody knows the so-called 'reality' shows are all scripted.
Did anyone think that 'Survivor' contestants did not have access to the supplies of the film crews and technicians? They outnumbered the 'castaways' by 20 to 1.
Of course the winners are arranged. It goes into the salaries everyone gets.
Ik someone recently told me BB was scripted and I was like how? You watch these people 24/7 and not once does someone mention reading a script. The only scripted part is the dr talks about how to play the competition the final 3 dinner talking about the game and the beginning *i got into the big brother house* key thing

Time to time you'll come across shows like that.. and it's obvious when it's fake. But i CAN'T STAND when people say reality shows like Survivor, Big Brother, The Real Word, ect are fake and scripted.

They are definitely not scripted but encouragement is given for things to go in a entertainment direction. If a contestant on BB is boring as hell well the producers may give the individual pointers to boost interest in them or may make suggestions to the HOH in regards to nominees which the individual may or may not take thus " You are not allowed to talk about production" but ultimately they do not control the outcomes. Bob would never had won Gabon if Survivor was scripted.
timster ikr, the people who think all reality tv is trashy, scripted and the poison of our new generation obviously are the people who have never watchedit. yes there are shows that are borderline scripted, moments where conversations are completely spliced, showing ppl's reactions to things when really that reaction is to something utterly different, but its not hard to recognize these things if you think critically, and for the most part many shows arent that bad with it.
the most 'scirpted' show i can think of is whodunnit (which was obviously done intentionally while still holding the reality aspect in the actual competition)
