JANA B BLOG SONG COMPETITION AWARDS CONTEST WEEK ELEVEN CHALLENGE Jan 14, 2021: So here we are, the last round before the FINALE. Ladies you'll be submitting me THREE songs tonight.

First Theme is 'Talent Show Winner Single'. Some of the most iconic power ballads come from winners of talent shows releasing their debuts. I want to hear one chosen by YOU.

Second Theme is 'Novelty Song'. This needs to be a song that was initially released for novelty or comedy purposes but is still a massive bop.

Final theme is 'Jana's Choice'. Now you should have been paying attention to what music I respond to and do NOT respond to so here's your challenge. Pick me a song you KNOW I'll like. No choosing songs from prior rounds and I encourage you not to pick TOO obviously here, I will be taking that into account.

Because rankings will be messier with only 3 left, I'll be grading each song out of 10 and the highest two scores will continue on.

Sunday Service Choir - 'Back To Life'
Oooh you going for Kanye, how very schizo of you I really appreciate that. I was really hoping some girls would be submitting CHRISTIAN songs and you delivered. This is SO well arranged, really dramatic but gives me the vibe of Heaven being like a party and I wanna go!

The Dresden Dolls - 'Lonesome Organist Rapes Page-Turner'
I don't know this song and I've never listened to Dresden Dolls. I actually like the contrast of this with the Heaven song, the first one was very choral and nice and this is a lot more janky and jagged. I liked the dark lyrics of this and it's really fucked. Very Hellish.

Elheist - 'GOOD OVER EVIL'
I get how the lyrics are all very like all about bein good or whatever but the song itself doesn't really reflect Heaven to me? I liked how it went and all but I wasn't really like captured a lot by it.

Purity Ring - 'I Like The Devil'
Similar critique to your first song, I understand the subject matter being related to the devil and hell but the music doesn't really bring me there? I do like Purity Ring and this song was enjoyable to listen to but I'm not like TAKEN there?

ALA.NI - 'Cherry Blossom'
Gosh this really nearly lulled me to sleep... IN A GOOD WAY. It was absolutely everything you said, and you really embodied a Heavenly song with this choice. This was gorgeous and I am in LOVE.

Lingua Ignota - 'Butcher of the World'
LMAO it was like going normal and then i hear a SCREAM of AHHH MOTHER FUCKING and I was like oh no where is this going. This is so LONG and it really is a journey lmao, the vocal coming in only after like half the song is kinda a serve. I totally get Hell from this. That said, it is definitely not something I ever want to listen to again LOL

Yolanda Adams - 'How Great Thou Art'
She really is the TRUE Gospel Diva. I'm also very glad you submitted me something Christian and Gospel miss Obama, it's an easy sell for Heaven. GOD IS GOOD!!!! I was singing along (in tongues)

Lorde - 'Liability'
I loooove this song, and this album. It's an interesting interpretation of Hell that I do appreciate from you. It may be a lil bit of a tenuous link but I think the song and explanation are strong enough to pull it off. Great work again FLOTUS.

JANA B BLOG SONG COMPETITION AWARDS CONTEST WEEK TEN CHALLENGE Jan 13, 2021: Thanks for shaking a little faster ladies, it's the FINAL FOUR. I can confirm this game will be an F2 like all best finals. So two more eliminations yet. The stakes are also gonna be HIGHER for winning... No more idols, so no worries, but there are gonna be some other advantages at play.

The advantage for winning this round is.. THE DOUBLE A SIDE POWER.
This means you will be able to submit TWO songs for ONE theme and I will ONLY judge my favourite of the two, basically you get to cover your bases with me. It'll only be available for the F3 round and expires after that.

The challenge this week is... HEAVEN AND HELL.

You have to submit 2 songs: a song that reminds me of HEAVEN and one that reminds me of HELL.
Examples of Heaven could be something angelic, something happy, something holy, something about loving jesus, Christian music etc?
Examples of Hell could be angry metal music, something about fire/brimstone, just give me HELL. (do not submit that awful All American Rejects song)

You have to submit a song in BOTH categories and if you wanna explain yourself with each choice, go for it.

But work ladies you got everything submitted quick so this is gonna be a FASTS.

HighNoon - Splendora - 'You're Standing On My Neck'
LA LA LA LA. You picked a fantastic choice here, it works as an individual song and also as a TV theme so well. The song itself is so iconic, it's cunty like Daria and describes her character and the show so well. Probably the best you could have chosen mama!

Nikki Blonsky from the movie Hairspray - 'You Can't Stop The Beat'
Hi I'm Nikki Blonsky from the movie Hairspray I love your new movie MirandaCosgrove! This song did try to end racism and I like it as one of the best songs from this musical but it A Lot. It's not my favourite of the bunch of musical songs submitted but a good call. Also fuck John Travolta ugly scientologist ass

Christina Milian - 'Call Me Beep Me'
This might have been one of the more obvious songs you could choose but it is that way for a reason. It's definitely stood the test of time as a bop and I do enjoy it. Christina Milian really deserves more recognition of her iconicity around the world. I really love her.

Jennifer Holliday - 'And I Am Telling You'
Now THIS is everything. I've seen Dreamgirls with Amber Riley as Effie and she smashed it but this is even better. I'm so glad you chose Jennifer Holliday's version because it is the PIQUE. She really gives everything to this song, and while it is a vocal extravaganza it's all with real meaning purpose and totally fits the musical and her character. An excellent choice. It's a shame this song has been bastardized by terrible children singing it on talent shows.

Girl you picked the BOP and this fucking video ENDED me with the Bebo pictures all over it 'FALLEN FOR U' et cetera. I've actually not heard the full song before this but you have introduced me to a timeless bop. It really gives me BOG OFF VIBES and you served Tracy

Ashley Tisdale - 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' (???)
From any of the HSM franchise, I would not have chosen this. While it definitely has camp value, it's just not as much of a bop as like Bop to the Top or High School Musical or What Time Is It or Getcha Head In The Game or you get the picture it's not what you coulda picked from this group.... This has not aged well.

A Tit shaker. For sure, always has been, it might not be AS important as some of the other songs by the other ladies in this category..

Marcy Park - 'I Speak Six Languages'
This is the only song I was not familiar with before this round. But I'm gonna alert you to something.. I SPECIFICALLY SAID in the description 'NO FAN CAMS'... What is this? Pooja what is this behaviour? I could tell this song was really funny and good but I feel the production was kinda lame and amateur and I could see the actor just kinda going thru the motions with it..

OOOH an interesting choice using this song instead of the Hi Hi Pussy Ami Ya Momma song. But a good call, this really does quake me when the beat goes down at TEEN TITANS>>> GO! I think this is a good example of using Jpop WELL. Kudos and Arigatogozaimasu Michelle-Chan

Avenue Q Cast - 'Everyone's a Little Bit Racist'
Girllllll. I love this musical! It might be my favourite one ever actually! So you picked definitely correct. This song always kills me. Especially when I first saw it a white woman played Christmas Eve and it was very wrong and problematic but iconic. I can't even get in a taxi!

I can confirm as a prize for winning the very FIRST challenge this season, Absol was given a Hidden Immunity Idol which grants her immunity from elimination as long as she plays it before the judge cut. It was usable up to Final 5, and she held onto it but played it when she submitted her song to me in PMs. That means.. kinda robbedly but also really funny

Your two challenges are:
Submit ONE song that is a TV Theme Song. It has to have been a Theme for a TV Show, and minimum length is 20 seconds!
The other song must be from STAGE. That's right, a MUSICAL song. A professional recording from a Broadway cast or other cast or a movie musical is acceptable. No Fan Cam shit.

I know you think this was a risk but... I submitted her for TSC with this song like a few years ago? Remember? A fucking jam. I also own a Hannah Montana t-shirt, I'm a stan. This is her best song, the fucking spoken word part always KILLS me.

Absol - Bhad Bhabie - 'These Heaux'
This is also a bop LMAO I know it's so bad and all that but that beat is actually a banger and she really serves me petulant irritating white bitch which I think I can resonate with. I appreciate you taking a different route than kiddy, it's more cunty.

HighNoon - Buono - 'Renai Rider'
So as you know I was a Japanese lady for a while and I am quite versed with Jpop. On the whole I usually hate it lol. This wasn't bad, they danced cutely and kinda bopped a little bit, but it's not really anything I'm super obsessed with. I'm not a fuckin weeb! The best part was definitely the last minute where the beat dropped and hit back up again with the 1 2 3 4!

A good choice and fortuitously for you, I was literally singing this in the shower like 3 days ago, I love me a country song and she hits it out of the park with it. It's so like memorable and iconic I really love it. It's also crazy she was so young doing this song!

Alexeh23 - China Anne McClain - 'Calling All The Monsters'
I mean LMAO. I never watched ANT Farm it was a bit before my time, but I am aware of icon China Anne McClain. This is... not a good song lmao, but it is kinda important so I do understand the relevance. I mean at least for you Analiese sent the worst song in the entire competition so far? It is still not very pleasant to listen to lol.
