So here we are, the last round before the FINALE. Ladies you'll be submitting me THREE songs tonight.
First Theme is 'Talent Show Winner Single'. Some of the most iconic power ballads come from winners of talent shows releasing their debuts. I want to hear one chosen by YOU.
Second Theme is 'Novelty Song'. This needs to be a song that was initially released for novelty or comedy purposes but is still a massive bop.
Final theme is 'Jana's Choice'. Now you should have been paying attention to what music I respond to and do NOT respond to so here's your challenge. Pick me a song you KNOW I'll like. No choosing songs from prior rounds and I encourage you not to pick TOO obviously here, I will be taking that into account.
Because rankings will be messier with only 3 left, I'll be grading each song out of 10 and the highest two scores will continue on.
Talent show winners singles are TERRIBLE! With the exception of like Alexandra Burke's Hallelujah all the X Factor UK ones are dire, and I went through international versions to find something that would be iconic enough to send but to no avail. It wasn't until I realised the legendary Jordin Sparks won American Idol back in 2007 that I realised my entry was CLEAR. A talent show winners single actually aimed at the commercial market.
Category 2:
Cupcakke's transition from "lol xd overly sexual lady" to a respected rapper is represented in this iconic piece of LGBTQ+ history. It's novelty and iconic AND it's a massive bop. Everything you could possibly ask for.
Category 3:
I know you stan the iconic hot messes like S!sters, Stark, Kaos, etc., and I think I covered iconic hot mess with my last song, so I'm going in a different direction. I ALSO know you stan alt/indie/rock girlies (I'm talking ~Sponjetta Parrish~ Alvvays, etc.), and I also know that I have done best in this competition with the artists closest to my heart. With this being said, have one of my favourite artists ever with one of my favourite songs ever AND she's an alt/indie/rock girlie.
