So like, I'm going to try and rank every horror movie weapon I've seen in...well, horror movies! Of course, I've not seen every horror movie ever, so lmk when I miss some, and I'll add them to the list! I will NOT be counting weapons used by heroes, and the weapons need to be a staple of the killer, so one-off kills like running someone's head over with a lawnmower won't count, unfortunately :(

#9: Gun
I mean...if a killer uses a gun they are a LAZY and boring killer, save guns for MURDER MYSTERIES, not horror MOVIES

#8: Bare hands
I mean...it's the most unreliable weapon, and the kills are usually DULL AF

#7: Screwdriver
It's ok...but there are MUCH more creative weapons out there, and the kills from screwdrivers are usually very dry

#6: Knife
Ah, the good old knife! If this list was from the 60's, this would easily be number 1, but we've seen so many more creative weapons in horror movies that this sadly doesn't stand up to it anymore

#5: Drill
The kills from drills are commonly quite messy, which I do like, and behind the knife, it's a somewhat realistic weapon for a serial killer- might need to do something about the noise, though

#4 and #3: Machete and Sickle
Both do a similar job, both are usually decently entertaining, and provide better kills than knives do!

#2: Axe
BEHEADINGS, YAAASSS! For horror movies that take place in the woods, this is usually a go-to weapon, but I also see it commonly used by the hero. Still, some great entertainment to be had!

#1: Chainsaw
By far the most streamlined and fun weapon to watch in horror movies, and the kills they provide are amazing! Not always the most practical weapon- they make the most noise of everything on this list, but my god, they are my favorite horror movie weapon!

So, am I a psychopath for rooting for the killer 995 of the time? Like seriously, the killer is usually one of the most interesting characters. Why do they kill people? How? Was it another traumatic childhood? Who was their first victim?
Meanwhile, most of the survivors are either a*sholes or dull as shit! An interesting survivor comes up every now and then, but I watch horror movies for the killers, not the survivors ;)
