Wow, this is truly a work of art. One of my favorite poetries ever.
Sore Throat is both a famous poem and, to some extent, an infamous poem; olivia extensively revised it, even shortening it to three brief lines. The metaphorical and literary devices you used here were flawless i.e girl coughs is actually a metaphorical representation of the girls sore throat. Finally, perhaps the most famous line of the poem, βgerms gross,β has no known source besides olivia herself. She writes that it is the sore throat, very much part of the real as opposed to the ideal, that is necessary to let the girl cough in her car. Sore throats can be valuable as a conduit to reality if the poet abandons the germs that they think are necessary for their craft and work assiduously to let their imagination create a world in which the car is not affected by the germs COMING from the sore throat
