You may have noticed that the wall of winning films is a little bigger than when you last saw it. That is because I’ve added 2 spaces for 2 more winning films.
When I did my original version of my movie taste game, I planned everything out. But then when I took too long and started the whole game over, I was really just coming up with themes on the fly. I wasn’t even sure of my format. But fear not, now I know exactly how my game will function. By the end of the game, we will have a total of 16 winning films!
So, let’s go ahead and start figuring out what the fourth film on that list is going to be. Here’s round 4!
You would be surprised to hear where a lot of famous actors ended up getting their start. There’s actually quite a few famous actors who started their career working as a cast member for a show on NBC called Saturday Night Live!
I LOVE Saturday Night Live… and even if it’s gone a little downhill today, I still enjoy it.
There are a lot of films that star an actor or actress who used to be a cast member on SNL… but some of them even have more than one!
That’s what I wanna see this round. Your film submission must star at least 2 former SNL cast members (or they can be current if you happen to find one of those!). And I don’t want both of them to just have 2 throwaway unimportant roles with 2 minutes of screen time.. so at least one of them must have a recurring role in the film!
Here’s a list of every former snl cast member if you need to check.
They must have been a repertory player. If they were only a featured player, that doesn’t count!
Also remember that the film must be available on one of these platforms:
Netflix
Hulu
Disney+
HBO Max
Paramount+
Peacock
Tubi
PlutoTV
YouTube (in the “Free to Watch” playlist. They should say “Free” or “Free with Ads”, and should be posted by YouTube itself. No pirated videos!)
There could be others I didn’t mention, so if you have a film that can only be watched on a platform not on the list, don’t be afraid to ask whether I have access to it!
So, do all the research you need to do, and then submit a film that stars at least 2 former snl cast members! Good luck!
Update: I’ve recently figured out that Bridesmaids can only be watch on Peacock using a Premium subscription, which I don’t have. This means that LaCroix will have to submit another film, which I will allow him to do since he and I didn’t know this was the case.
