Welcome back after the long break! It’s now time for Day 3 of the 113th Hunger Games!
Only 11 tributes are left. And after today, only a few will be left standing to take part in the finale.

-𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹-
Shimmer, Tryffiny and Lawrence managed to sail back to their ship yesterday on the inflatable raft. They are all up and early ready to hunt for more tributes. The water is still frozen solid, however they are expecting it to heat up soon.
Lawrence: So, what exactly is our strategy today? We didn’t really have any luck yesterday after Emily died.
Shimmer: We’ll check the buildings. Some of the other tributes could have been hiding in there. And remember, be sure to keep a look out for boats. Where there’s boats, there’s tributes.
Lawrence: Okay... Tryffiny, can I talk with you?
Tryffiny: Oh! Uh... sure.
Shimmer pretends not to pay too much attention to Lawrence, but keeps a close eye on him.
Lawrence takes Tryffiny over to the other side of the boat.
Lawrence: So, I’ve been keeping track of how many tributes are left, and right now there’s just 11, including us. We’re also the only 3 careers left.
Tryffiny: Okay...
Lawrence: So... can you see how Shimmer is trying to establish herself as the leader of this group?
Tryffiny: I... what are you suggesting?
Lawrence: She’s really smart. If we keep her around for too long, she’ll eventually turn on us. She clearly knows what she’s doing and she could be a threat to both of us. I think we should take her out.
Tryffiny is completely blindsided and baffled at this proposal.
Tryffiny: What... what do you mean?
Lawrence: The arena’s ocean is about to start boiling. I think we should push her overboard right before it does, that way she’ll never see it coming and by the time she processes it, it’ll be too late. But I need you to help me.
Tryffiny doesn’t want to kill Shimmer... but Lawrence is definitely getting in her head. Lawrence looks out the window.
Lawrence: Oh shit, the Lighthouse is on! The water is heating up right now, we need to do this! Please, tell me you’ll do it.
Tryffiny: I... okay.
Tryffiny was pressured to respond quickly, but has no idea what she wants to do.
The two sneak to the other side of the boat and see Shimmer looking over the side as the ice begins melting.
Lawrence turns to Tryffiny and whispers to her.
Lawrence: On 3, we push her overboard.
As Lawrence’s back is turned, Shimmer suddenly looks back and him whispering to Tryffiny. She mouths the words “I know what he’s doing. Let’s surprise him.” Tryffiny is able to make it out.
Tryffiny then whispers “okay”. Both Lawrence and Shimmer believe that she is speaking to them.
Lawrence: 1...
Lawrence moves closer to Shimmer as Tryffiny follows.
Lawrence: 2...
Shimmer pretends not to notice.
Lawrence: 3!!!
Lawrence suddenly runs toward Shimmer, getting ready to push with all his might. However, Shimmer moves backward and Lawrence misses her.
Lawrence almost falls off the edge, but is able to catch himself.
Tryffiny then runs up to him and finishes the job.
Lawrence is pushed overboard and falls into the boiling water below. His arms can be seen splashing above the water, trying to grab onto something, but it’s no use.
Shimmer and Tryffiny listen to Lawrence’s painful gurgled screams until they hear his cannon.
BOOM!
Shimmer: Were you tempted?
Tryffiny: No, of course not! I would never have tried to kill you. I trust you more than anyone in here.
Shimmer smiles.
Shimmer: Well, now we don’t have to worry about them anymore! Now it’s just us versus 8 other tributes. We have this in the bag!
Tryffiny: Yeah! Should we look for them?
Shimmer: What a great idea! Let’s hope we can get lucky today!
Shimmer and Tryffiny then begin sailing, searching for other tributes.

-𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀-
Logan and Kaay have both managed to make it to the lighthouse, barely avoiding the boiling water that has spawned where the ice used to be.
Kaay: Wait... without a boat, how are you gonna be able to get off of here?
Logan: Oh crap, you’re right... well, I suppose I could just stay here until the next nightfall, when the water becomes ice again. But that is when we have to split up.
Kaay: I really don’t know if I could survive on my own... why do you have to leave me?
Logan: I’m sorry, but... I just tend to do better when I’m alone. It’s really nothing personal. I’m sure you’ll be quite safe here.
Kaay: But what if I need food? There’s food here isn’t there?
Logan is silent. He feels extremely guilty.
Logan: I... I’m not sure. Let’s look. We should go inside.
Logan and Kaay then enter the lighthouse.
Kaay: I don’t like it in here... it’s dark.
Logan: Well yeah, but... I’m sure that’s why no one else would want to come here! See, I’m sure you’re safe—
Suddenly, they both hear footsteps from up above. Kaay immediately cowers behind Logan.
Logan: S-stay here. I’ll go check it out.
Logan takes out a knife and heads upstairs. He slowly walks upward, feeling scared but getting ready to attack if he needs to.
He reaches the top of the stairs when suddenly, he sees someone jump out at him.
It’s Dizzle, holding a machete.
Logan is startled, and holds up his knife, getting ready to fight for his life. Dizzle feels ready to attack, but can see that Logan is scared.
Despite the fact that he knows he should... Dizzle doesn’t want to kill a 13 year old kid.
Dizzle begins to lower his machete.
Dizzle: Truce?
Logan feels a little relieved to hear Dizzle say this, but still feels paranoid. He is lowering his knife, but is still prepared to use it.
Logan: I...
Suddenly, the two gentlemen hear two distinct screams from below. The first is short and lasts less than a second. The next scream, however, lasts for a couple seconds and is distinctly in a higher pitch.
Dizzle and Logan quickly run downstairs.
When they both arrive down there, they see not one, but two other tributes. The first is Kaay, on the ground with a machete in her stomach. The second is Dizzle’s partner Frangilla, looking like she feels much regret for something she just did.
Frangilla looks up at Dizzle and Logan as Logan looks in horror at the scene below. He looks at Frangilla with anger.
Frangilla begins shaking her head and mouthing “I didn’t mean to”. However, Logan is too blinded by all of his sudden feelings.
Using the knife in his hands, he begins to throw it aiming straight at Frangilla. Dizzle notices.
Dizzle: Wait, don’t—!
...

BOOM!
...
...
...
The knife hits Frangilla straight in her head. She drops to the ground immediately.
Dizzle immediately runs to his dead partner as Logan runs to Kaay.
Kaay’s wound looks very bad, and she seems like she’s in a lot of pain.
Logan: Kaay! Kaay... listen, you’re gonna be okay. I’m gonna get this wound healed up and—
Kaay: Logan... you said this place would be safe! You said—
Logan: I know, I’m sorry. But listen, I’m gonna make this up to you. I’m gonna—
Kaay: Why did you wanna leave me? Why couldn’t I have just stayed with you?
Kaay is crying. Her wound hurts very severely.
Logan: I... I was just being selfish! I shouldn’t have done that. But when you get better—
Kaay: I looked up to you... I thought I’d be safe with you...
Logan is now crying.
Logan: Kaay... I’m sorry... I’m so sorry... Please, I’m so so sorry...
Kaay: Please... help me! I’m scared... I... I...
Kaay’s face is becoming emotionless.
Logan: Kaay? Kaay! Please Kaay, please don’t do this... I can fix you! I can—
BOOM!
Logan is silent. He is now realizing Kaay isn’t breathing, and that there is no bringing her back.
Logan suddenly collapses over her dead body, feeling both guilty and devastated. He begins crying for a few minutes when he notices Dizzle walking back upstairs, seemingly having been crying as well.
Feeling curious, Logan follows him upstairs, sucking in his tears.
There are two spiral staircases leading up to the top of the lighthouse, and they are symmetrical to each other. However, there is a giant pillar in between them. As Logan walks upstairs, he concludes Frangilla must have been walking down as he walked up, but could not see her due to the pillar.

When Logan makes it to the top of the lighthouse again, he finds Dizzle sitting on the edge of the Lighthouse’s window.
He walks over to him slowly. He feels that if Dizzle kills him, he will have deserved it.
Logan: I... I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to just... kill her like that. I—
Dizzle: It’s okay. I understand. She was important to you. That girl.
Logan is silent.
Dizzle: Frangilla was important to me too. We’ve been friends for as long as I can remember. We’ve always loved to make people laugh. I... I can’t believe she’s gone. But don’t worry... I forgive you.
Logan is silent. He looks like he’s in disbelief.
Logan: No... you shouldn’t forgive me.
Dizzle: Like I said, I get it. That girl must have been important to you too—
Logan: No, I was gonna abandon her here! I don’t deserve to be forgiven!
Dizzle suddenly turns around. Logan, who still looks depressed, joins him and begins sitting outside the Lighthouse window.
Logan: I... I stayed in the cornucopia after the bloodbath. She did too. For some reason, she felt comfortable around me... so she wanted to copy my survival tactics. Eventually I found out, and I told her we needed to separate. She begged me to let her stay... but then I suggested we go here. I said I’d walk her to the lighthouse, and then we’d part ways. I told her she’d be safe here when I didn’t know for sure. But I was just gonna leave her here with no food, no weapons... and no knowledge on how to survive. I was basically just gonna leave her here to die. But now that she’s dead... I feel like it should be me instead of her...
Logan starts sobbing again. Dizzle is silent.

Dizzle eventually speaks out.
Dizzle: Frangilla was my other half... I don’t think I could ever go on without her.
Logan looks at him confusingly. Dizzle begins pointing to something outside of the lighthouse right below them.
Dizzle: You see those rocks?
Below them is indeed a large pile of sea rocks. At first, Logan is confused, but then understands what Dizzle is telling him.
He feels like he’ll never forgive himself for what happened to Kaay, so he decides to go along with Dizzle’s plan.
Logan: Together?
Dizzle smiles at him.
Dizzle: Together.
Logan and Dizzle hold hands, and then gaze at the large pile of rocks below. They both begin to lean forward...

-𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝘆-
The rest of the day is extremely uneventful. Only 6 tributes are still alive. 2 of them are the careers, Shimmer and Tryffiny. The other 4 are the unlikely alliance of Aidan, Ess, Xanthos and Malibu.
The unlikely alliance is sailing out when suddenly they find the sky becoming darker.
Aidan: How much food do we have left?
Ess: Maybe enough to get us through tomorrow morning... but that’s it.
Aidan: Shit... as soon as night falls, we need to search for more. We’ll be able to walk across the ice easier that way.
Xanthos: Well, just give it a few more minutes...
Almost on cue, the sky darkens completely. The lights in the Lighthouse then immediately turn on, and the water freezes in a matter of minutes.
Aidan: Alright, now’s our chance.
The four of them immediately jump off the boat.
Aidan: Okay... with the ice frozen we won’t be able to fish, so we should check the beaches for any crabs or snails we can cook.
Malibu: Eww, we’re seriously gonna eat snails?
Aidan: It’s better than starving to death in my opinion. And we might not have to if we find enough crabs. Although I’m not sure if they even show up on the beach.
Malibu: Well, I propose that whoever finds a crab gets to eat said crab! So I’m gonna find a crab first!
Malibu immediately begins running to the nearest beach she can see, which is still a great distance away.
Aidan: Hey wait! That’s not what we agreed to!
Xanthos: Hey, I’ll go after her!
Xanthos then starts running after her.
Meanwhile, Ess notices something funny. She can feel small vibrations below her. She looks at the ice directly below her feet, and it’s as if she can see a bunch of small creatures.
Ess: What...?
Ess looks more closely at the creatures and makes them out to be small fish. They’re ramming at the ice trying to break it. Ess then notices that one of them manages to make a small crack.
Ess: Guys... we should get back on the boat!
Aidan: What? We haven’t even been off of it for 2 minutes!
Ess: Look at the ice!
Aidan suddenly notices the fish. They have put small cracks all around the ice, and they’re seemingly everywhere.
Aidan: Oh shit... XANTHOS, MALIBU! THE ICE IS CRACKING! GET BACK HERE!
Xanthos and Malibu both notice the cracking ice. They then begin running in the opposite directions back to the boat.
Aidan and Ess both get onto the boat without hesitation. They watch as the cracks in the ice become bigger, and watch as water slowly starts emerging from them.
Xanthos manages to get to the boat just as the ice below him starts submerging in the water. He begins climbing up the ladder that has been hanged from the railing while Ess and Aiden watch Malibu run to the boat as water starts touching her feet.
Ess: She’s not gonna make it!
Aidan: Shit... oh, I know!
Aidan runs off. A few seconds later he comes back with an inflatable raft.
Aidan: We could throw this to her... but I think we’re too high up to throw it accurately.
Ess: Give it to Xanthos!
Aidan immediately runs over to Xanthos, who is only halfway up the ladder.
Aidan: Xanthos! Throw this to Malibu!
Aidan drops the raft and turns to look at Malibu. Aidan watches as Xanthos seemingly holds it for a few seconds.
Aidan: What are you waiting for? Throw it!
Xanthos then throws the raft to Malibu. It lands near her, and Malibu immediately takes it and pulls its string. Within seconds, it inflates.
Malibu quickly hops in the raft as the ice below her breaks completely and becomes water once more.
Xanthos then continues climbing up.
Aidan: Malibu, just stay calm! We’re gonna get you back up here, just stay still!
Ess begins helping Xanthos back on board when Aidan notices something odd.
Aidan sees Malibu looks worried, and that her raft is seemingly sinking.
Malibu: There’s a hole in the raft! Help me!!!
Aidan: Oh shit...
Ess: What do we do?! We had to save her!!!
But there was nothing they could do. Malibu was too far away. They could only watch in horror as the raft slowly delayed and sank into the water, at which point the fish creatures Ess saw began to attack.
Within minutes, they devour Malibu completely. The rest of the group watches her scream in terror as the blood thirsty fish eat the remains of her bloody body until she is suddenly silenced.
BOOM!
Xanthos: Oh my god...
Aidan: Holy shit! What the hell are those?! Are those mutts? Are those piranha mutts?!
Ess: What the hell happened?! How did the raft sink?!
Aidan: It seemed fine when I picked it up!
Ess: Well you should’ve checked it! You should’ve made sure there were no holes in it!
Aidan: It’s not like we had another raft to use! It was either that or nothing!
Ess: But we could’ve patched it up in time!
Aidan: How? We would’ve had seconds to do that, and I don’t think we have tape!
Aidan and Ess then begin arguing to the point where they don’t even notice the fallen tributes of the day being projected in the sky.

Meanwhile, Xanthos watches Aidan and Ess argue. He walks away smiling as he pulls something out of his pocket.
He pulls out a small needle. He looks at it as if he used it to accomplish something.

End of Day 3!
Just like that, we’ve gone from 11 tributes to just 5. There is only one day left!
That’s right, the finale is upon us!
I’m gonna post an episode of Animal Crossing Big Brother tomorrow night, and the day after that, you can look forward to 2 separate episodes in the same day. They will be Part 1 and Part 2 of the finale?
