-𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲-
The first event of the day occurs moments before the fallen tributes from Day 1 are shown in the sky.
The boat of careers has been sailing for the whole day, and has been enjoying their voyage searching for tributes to kill.
While Emily and Lawrence begin to have their own conversation, Shimmer takes Tryffiny to a private location to discuss something in secret.
Tryffiny: What’s up?
Shimmer: I wanted to talk to you because... I wanted to talk about what happens once the number of tributes gets lower.
Tryffiny: What do you mean?
Shimmer: What I mean is... I want to work together. I trust you the most out of all the careers still remaining.
Tryffiny processes this proposal. She has been the most confiding in Shimmer, and has trusted her the most. However, she has also been skeptical and has hoped that Shimmer felt the same way. This proposal is one of the most relieving things she has heard since the games started.
Tryffiny: I... I’d love that! I trust you too!
Shimmer knows that her best bet on making it farther than the other careers is with Tryffiny. She has observed her and knows that she’ll be very loyal to her.
Shimmer: Good... Emily and Lawrence can work with us for now, but once it gets down to maybe 10-8 players, it might be best to “get rid” of them. They’re huge threats to us.
Tryffiny: I-yeah, you’re right, but...
Shimmer: Hey... it’ll be okay. Once they’re gone, we’ll rule this game.
Shimmer places her hand on Tryffiny’s shoulder. She wants to be as comforting as possible.
Tryffiny: Yeah, I agree! I—
Suddenly, Shimmer and Tryffiny feel the boat coming to a complete stop.
They look outside... and they suddenly see the water has frozen solid.
Emily and Lawrence join them as they hop off the boat to investigate.
Tryffiny: It looks like... all the water suddenly froze. But how?
Suddenly, they see the fallen tributes of Day 1 projected in the sky.
Soon afterward, Shimmer gets an idea.
Shimmer: Don’t you guys see what this means? Now we have a complete walk-on path to hunt for tributes! As long as we make sure the ice doesn’t break, we should be okay!
Lawrence: Oh my goodness, she’s right! We should take advantage of this while we can!
The group takes whatever supplies they can before they head out. Shimmer also notices a small inflatable raft and decides it will be useful. The group then takes off.

They walk all night until the sun begins to rise.
They all encounter a beach when suddenly Emily sees something in the distance.
Emily: Oh my gosh... look at that!
It’s none other than Drea’s head, still frozen in the water from when it froze over. She seems to be asleep.
Emily: This is gonna be so fun...
Emily almost immediately takes off to have fun with Drea.
While this happens, Lawrence notices something odd.
Lawrence: Huh, that’s weird... the lighthouse’s lights turned off.
Shimmer notices the ice below her rumbling. She can also feel it getting warmer.
Shimmer: We need to get to the beach.
Tryffiny: W-what?
Shimmer: GET TO THE BEACH!
Shimmer, Tryffiny and Lawrence immediately run to the beach. Emily, however, is too focused on showing off killing Drea to notice Shimmer’s warnings.
Shimmer: Emily, get to the beach!
Emily: What?
Before Emily can process what Drea is saying, the ice almost immediately begins breaking. A bunch of smoke can be seen arising from the surface. Drea almost immediately wakes up and begins screaming in pain. Emily shortly falls in and does the same. They both attempt to swim to the beach, but it’s no use.
Shortly, both of their screams are silenced.
BOOM!
BOOM!

...
After a while, the steam on the beach begins to fade, and the water becomes normal temperature. The lifeless bodies of Drea and Emily can be seen floating on the surface of the water with what appears to be boiled skin.
Lawrence: Now what? We’re stuck here.
Shimmer: Not quite... look what I got.
Shimmer then pulls out her inflatable raft from the boat.
Tryffiny: Whoa! Where’d you find that?
Shimmer: It was just on the boat for some reason... but it’s our ticket out of here!
Shimmer, Tryffiny and Lawrence then head off on their raft.

-𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹-
Dizzle and Frangilla both have survived the freezing and boiling water, and have arrived at the lighthouse.
Dizzle: Well... the freezing started when the light from here started, so this might be a good place to camp out!
Frangilla: There could be other tributes that show up here...
Dizzle: Possibly. But if there are, we’ll be able to take them. Just to make sure they don’t know we’re here...
Dizzle then sets the boat loose. It immediately is drifted away from them, and is gone within a few minutes.
Frangilla: What if we need to leave?
Dizzle: Then we can use the inflatable raft I found inside of the boat! I don’t know what it was doing in there, but I’m sure it’ll come in handy!
Frangilla: Ah... this seems like a full proof plan! Almost as if... a lightbulb went off in your head?
The two laugh.
Dizzle: Come on, let’s check the place out!
The two then enter the lighthouse.

-𝗔𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-
Aidan and Ess have been hanging out inside a building for the whole day. They are unaware of the heating and cooling of the water since they have spent the night there. They both have just woken up when they quickly notice something odd.
Ess: Aidan... look at that.
Aidan: What?
Ess: That boat. Not too far away from ours.
Aidan: Oh shit...
Ess: Looks like we aren’t alone.
The two grab their crossbows and suddenly step outside. Outside the buildings are a bunch of docks and boardwalks.
Aidan and Ess look around all corners for signs of another tribute... when suddenly, they see someone fall, yelling out an audible gasp of pain.
The two immediately point their bows in the direction of the sound and find the tribute right behind them.
It’s Xanthos.
Xanthos: Wait! Wait, please!
Aidan: Ess, it’s that kid with Multiple Personality Disorder! The kid who has another darker personality to him!
Xanthos: No, wait! I try to get that guy to stay inside of me, but he only comes out when I feel threatened.
Aidan: Maybe we should make this quick then...
Ess looks into Xanthos’s eyes. He seems innocent.
Ess: I don’t know... he doesn’t seem dangerous.
Aidan: Ess, if we don’t kill him now, this guy could kill us in our sleep! Don’t fall for his bullshit!
Ess looks like she’s contemplating what to do.
Ess: I-
Suddenly, another tribute jumps out of the water and lands in the arena with a knife in her hand.
It’s Malibu.
Malibu pushes Xanthos aside and goes in to kill the siblings. However, she suddenly freezes when they point their crossbows at her.
Aidan: You think that’s a good idea?
Malibu feels as if she as screwed up big time. The three are at a standoff when suddenly, someone walks in between them to break it up. Xanthos.
Xanthos: Wait, let’s not fight! I don’t want that monster inside of me to come out again, but I don’t think he will if we don’t fight! Let’s all make a truce.
Aidan: Why should we trust you?
Xanthos: Well... I suppose if you don’t... you can shoot me right now. But I promise I want us to make peace!
Ess: Aidan... we aren’t killers. Let’s just call a truce.
Aidan: Ess... I just... I can’t trust HIM! I just can’t!
Malibu suddenly decides to intervene.
Malibu: So... I’m actually down for a truce.
Xanthos: See? Even SHE wants to stop fighting! Dude, if I wanted to kill you, I would’ve tried to by now! Trust me.
Ess: Aidan, come on. I think we’ll be fine.
Aidan looks like he’s going through a tough time. He looks at Malibu.
Aidan: Truce?
Malibu: Truce!
Malibu then throws down her weapon.
Xanthos: You know... we might stand a chance of winning if we all stick together.
Aidan: Whoa, what? It’s one thing to call a truce, but to suggest we should trust you enough to—
Ess: Aidan! Stop it! Can we talk.. privately?
Ess then takes Aidan to the side.
Ess: Why don’t you trust him,
Aidan: Why would I? He’s a literal psychopath! I don’t buy anything he’s telling us.
Ess: I really think that he... regardless of his darker side... wants to work with us! And just think... wouldn’t it be handy to have him on our side when his dark personality takes over? I think that could really help us.
Aidan: Ess... I just don’t know. I want us to make it as far as possible in these games.
Ess: I know, I do too. But I really think our best shot is working with him. Please... just trust me. Don’t you trust me?
Aidan: I... of course I trust you...
Ess: Then please... let him join us.
Aidan looks conflicted.
Aidan: Oh... okay.
Aidan and Ess join the others as Ess smiles.
Aidan: Alright, we can all work together. But I wanna issue a warning to both of you, and this especially applies to you Xanthos! If you try anything to hurt me or my sister, we won’t hesitate to end your life. Is that clear?
Malibu: Yep! Promise I’ll be friendly.
Xanthos: Yep. Same here.
Ess: Okay, so we should probably set sail so the careers don’t find us here! Plus, if we leave one of our boats here, they might think we’re here anyway!
Xanthos: Good idea! I say we take your guys’s boat, it seems more reliable than the one I took!
Malibu: I kinda just abandoned my boat after the bloodbath... then I kinda just hung out here. I avoided you guys as much as I could, and then I decided to strike while the iron was hot. Sorry about that...
Ess: It’s fine! Water under the bridge now... let’s just start sailing!
The four then set sail, all while Xanthos suspiciously and deviously stares at Aiden...

-𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆-
Logan has camped out in the cornucopia all day. He has had enough food to live off of, and has noticed the freezing water from the night before. It is now nightfall.
Logan is preparing to camp out for another night when suddenly, he hears something in the distance.
He hears screaming and splashing. The screams sound like they are from a young boy, similar to his age.
As he runs to investigate, he hears a famous noise.
BOOM!
Logan runs to where he heard the sound, and right on the edge of the cornucopia he sees the lifeless body of Kyle, the male tribute from District 7.
Logan concludes that Kyle must have camped out here just like him. When he couldn’t find food, he tried to swim out to another place to find some. However, it would appear he couldn’t swim.
Logan, now feeling like he knows what happened, turns to head back to his camp when he suddenly sees another person in the distance.
The person appears to be a young girl. Upon realizing she’s been discovered, the girl panics and runs to one of the boats.
Logan impulsively runs toward her, and tackles her before she can reach a boat.
The girl is his district partner, Kaay.
Logan: How long have you been here:
Kaay: I-I—
Logan: ANSWER ME!
Kaay: A-as long as you have!
Logan: Have you been spying on me?
Kaay: Y-yeah... I didn’t know what else to do! Please don’t kill me!
Logan can see that Kaay is balling. Upon realizing that she isn’t much of a threat, he decides to spare her. He slowly crawls off of her.
Logan: You really shouldn’t spy on people. If I was a career, I probably would’ve killed you without question.
Kaay: Y-yeah...
Logan: Well... no more spying on me. I’ll set a boat up for you, but you need to leave afterward.
Kaay: W-what? No, I’ll die! I can’t survive on my own, I’m only 12!
Logan: I’m 13. And I’ve managed a whole day. I’m sure you can too.
Kaay: No, please... I need you...
Logan is surprised by Kaay’s words. He had never known what it was like for someone to care about him or “need” him.
Logan: Well... I—
Suddenly, the lighthouse’s lights turn back on, and the water freezes yet again.
Kaay: Whoa! What’s happening?
Logan: The water’s freezing. It happened last night. Hey, I bet you could walk on it!
Kaay: No, please don’t send me away. I can’t survive, please... I’ll die.
Logan notices Kaay is bawling. Suddenly, he tries to comfort her with an idea.
Logan: Hey... you see that lighthouse? I bet it’s probably safe there. The water freezes whenever it’s lights come on. I bet it would be a safe place to hide from other tributes. If you make it there by sunrise... I bet you could be safe!
Kaay wipes her tears away.
Kaay: Could... could you at least walk with me there?
Logan: Oh... well, I don’t know about that. You see, the water will unfreeze by sunrise, meaning I’d have to get you there and come all the way back by—
Logan sees Kaay tearing up again. He suddenly has a change of heart.
Logan: Oh... okay. I’ll walk you there. But we gotta be quick and make sure we get there before sunrise, so stay close and don’t stop moving.
Kaay suddenly lights up happily, quickly wiping her tears away.
Kaay: Thank you...
Logan: Sure thing...
The two then set off for the lighthouse, with Kaay holding onto Logan’s hand.
Suddenly, the fallen tributes of the day are projected in the sky.

The Girl from District 10

That’s the end of Day 2!
Only 11 tributes remain... who will survive the third day? What will happen to the tributes who may be in danger? And which tributes will interact with each other next?
