Today, more tributes will die... but the tributes who survive will be moving on to tomorrow’s finale!
So let’s see who’s dying!
-An Awaited Encounter-
All of Panem has been waiting for Chad and Latoya to have an encounter with each other. That moment finally arrives when they both wake up early in the morning.
Chad is very angry at himself for going this long without finding anyone. However, a few minutes after he begins hunting for the day, he finds Latoya on the same island as him.
Latoya is searching for food, having dropped her weapons.
Chad takes this as an opportunity to surprise her with a quick and fast kill.
Chad stares at her for a moment, holding his sword. He waits for the perfect time to attack. As soon as Latoya has her back turned...
He runs at her screaming, making as much noise as possible.
This clearly wasn’t a good decision, because Latoya hears Chad coming, and quickly moves out of the way as he swings at her.
Chad continues to swing at Latoya, who is easily dodging his attacks. Chad looks angrier and angrier every time he misses.
Eventually, Latoya is able to grab a sword of her own, and takes a swing at Chad as soon as she has the chance.
Chad tries to dodge the attack the way Latoya dodged his, but he isn’t so lucky.
The sword swings right through his chest.
Chad falls on his knees in pain, but is clearly still trying to take Latoya down.
He swings at Latoya again, but Latoya doses it no problem. Latoya takes another swing, this time at Chad’s arms.
Latoya’s sword pierces Chad’s arm, and Chad drops his weapon and falls to his knees.
Looking defeated, he looks up at Latoya with hatred.
Latoya finishes the job with one last swing to his throat.
Chad immediately falls to the ground.
BOOM!
Latoya, looking exhausted, collapses. Eventually, she decides to go back into the tunnels, worried that Chad might not have been alone.
As she enters the tunnel, she feels the ground below her rumble.
She looks behind her... the water is rising.
Latoya begins running through the tunnel, hoping to avoid the rising water.
As she walks, she feels the ground below her become wet.
She starts running through the tunnels, until...
She finds an exit.
She is now on a normal beach on a normal island, where there is no rising water. There is no longer water flooding the tunnels.
She walks up to the forest and sees the island next to her is sinking.
She watches as the entire island sinks all the way into the water.
She looks around. There are now just 3 other islands excluding the cornucopia.
She then comes to a realization.
Latoya: The tunnels... lead to other islands?!
-A Beautiful Sunset-
Ocean, Merona and Aspen have been hanging out in the forest all day. They have been having fun for most of the day, and the sun is now beginning to set.
Aspen is taking a nap while Ocean and Merona are awake, discussing today’s events with each other. They are mainly talking about one of the islands sinking when when they both stop to notice the sun is setting.
Ocean: Hey... mind if I show you something?
Merona: Uh... sure.
Ocean takes Merona a few feet away from the forest to the seashore, where a full view of the sunset can be seen.
Merona: So... what are we looking at?
Ocean: What do you mean? You don’t see that amazing sunset in front of you?
Merona: Oh... yeah, I can see that.
Ocean: Isn’t it just amazing how beautiful it is as it sets down into the water? The reflection of it glistening on the surface of the ocean?
Merona: Y-Yeah... I guess I can see that.
Merona then thinks about her next sentence. She considers what might happen if she says it, but she decides to take the risk.
Merona: But... technically it reflects on everyone.
Ocean: W... what?
Merona: Oh! You meant the water... sorry, I thought you were talking about yourself.
It takes a minute for Ocean to process Merona’s compliment. However, she eventually catches on and stares at Merona with wide eyes.
Merona feels like she made a mistake, until she hears Ocean... laughing.
Ocean is laughing... but not in a “That was a good joke” way, not in a “There’s no chance in hell” way... in a good natured way.
Merona smiles, and even laughs herself.
Eventually, the two fall silent. They stare at each other for a while, until...
Aspen: What are you doing?
They turn to see Aspen, who has woken up from his nap to see his allies staring at each other.
Ocean looks like she can’t think of something to say, so Merona speaks up for her.
Merona: Don’t get too excited. We weren’t gonna make out or anything.
Aspen laughs at Merona’s comment. Ocean laughs too.
Eventually, all three of them are laughing together as the sun sets and the night falls on them.
-Heroes Go Down-
Karma and Panera have been looking for the other 2 careers all day. However... they both have found no one except the three tributes they found yesterday.
They are getting ready to call it quits for the night when they begin talking to each other.
Panera: Hey... can I ask you something?
Karma: Sure... what’s up?
Panera: What happens when we kill all of the careers?
Karma: Well... we look for other tributes that are similar to careers. Tributes who have murdered with no remorse. Tributes who only care about themselves. Then we take THEM out.
Panera: And what about after that? What if there aren’t any more tributes like that anymore?
Karma is silent for a moment. Then, she speaks.
Karma: Well... if we’re alone in here with tributes that deserve to live, then the right thing to do is... you know...
Panera: What? I didn’t agree to this!
Karma: You know it’s the right thing to do.
Panera: Karma, we’re talking about KILLING ourselves!
Karma: No, we’re talking about SACRIFICING ourselves so someone else can live. Do you seriously think all the tributes here deserve to die?
Panera: Well... no, but... I wanna live to!
Karma: I wanna walk out of here alive too... but for that to happen, one of us would have to die.
Panera: Not necessarily, there was the 74th Hunger Games, wher—
Karma: That was a special exception. You know the capitol won’t allow for more than one winner nowadays.
Panera: I... I...
Karma: Listen... we’ve been helping our district for years, and if you are willing to fight those innocent kids just so you can live, then you’re basically throwing all of those good deeds you’ve done out the window. If you still have compassion in your soul... if you’re still a hero... you’ll agree that the right thing to do is to let someone else live.
Panera is silent for a moment. He is thinking about what he wants to say, worried about his decision.
Then, he decides to speak out.
...

...
...
Panera: I do—
Before he can finish, an arrow flies right through his skull.
BOOM!
...
...
...
...
...
It takes a moment for Karma to process the death of her twin brother. But she tries not to think about it, and instead starts running.
She feels an arrow fly right by her face. She begins running in the opposite direction when she finds herself blocked by a career.
Kiara is standing there, holding a machete.
Karma hears footsteps behind her and sees Anthea standing there holding a bow and arrow, aiming it at her.
Kiara: Whatcha gonna do now Supergirl?
Karma only stands there, preparing for the fight of her life.
However... she feels the ground below her beginning to rumble.
Kiara and Anthea begin to feel it too.
They then see the other two islands as well as the cornucopia rising.
They all find it weird... but they eventually realize the other islands aren’t rising. The island they’re on is sinking.
Kiara: Shit... we have to run!
Anthea quickly lets go of her arrow, hoping to hit Karma with it. However, Karma is able to dodge it.
Kiara pushes her to the ground as she and Anthea run to the nearest bridge.
Karma gets back on her feet as fast as she can and runs behind them.
Anthea can see Karma is behind them and attempts to do something about it. She grabs one of her arrows and tries to hit her as she’s running. Karma barely moves out of the way.
At this point, Anthea is running backwards trying to hit Karma with her arrows. Anthea suddenly hears Kiara yelling out to her.
Kiara: Hey, watch where you’re going!
Anthea panics as she tries to turn back around, clueless as to what is in front of her. However, as she turns around, she runs face first into a tree.
The impact ends up snapping her bow and arrow in half. Karma runs right past her as she is on the ground.
Anthea quickly gets back on her feet and runs as fast as she can to catch up with Karma.
Kiara is now walking on the bridge at this point, with Karma attempting to get on it with her. Karma is almost to the bridge as she feels someone tackle her to the ground.
Anthea has tackled Karma, trying to stab her with one of her arrows now that she can’t shoot them at her.
Karma, however, uses her strength to keep the arrow away from her.
She is even able to grab one of Anthea other arrows and stabs her in her side.
Anthea screams out in pain as she falls off of Karma. As she attempts to get up, Karma stabs her again in the thigh.
Anthea, now on the ground and unable to walk, tries to crawl toward Karma, but is in too much pain.
Karma then sees water reaching her feet, and sees that the island is now submerging into the sea.
Karma runs onto the bridge, which is now starting to look like a ladder at this point. She also sees that Kiara is already across.
Karma walks across the bridge, and then climbs it as it becomes horizontal and the island goes down. She can hear Anthea being pulled underwater behind her, and then hears her cannon.
BOOM!
Karma climbs up the bridge, which at this point is now a complete ladder. She is nearly to the top when she grabs the final board, climbing up to the surface.
However, she can see a pair of hiking boots at the top.
She then feels something sharp lodge itself into her hand. She screams in pain, letting go of the bridge and now holding on with one hand.
Karma looks up to see Kiara still holding her machete, grinning.
Kiara: Not such a superhero now, are you?
Kiara raises her machete.
Karma: NO!
...

...
...
Kiara’s machete hits Karma’s hand, and Karma let’s go of the bridge.
Kiara watches as she falls into the water, and is then pulled under it.
She grins as she watches Karma’s air bubbles reach the surface, and then hears her cannon.
BOOM!
Kiara then notices the fallen tributes of the day are being projected in the sky.

The Boy from District 11
The Girl from District 11
Kiara then sees that on the only other existing island other than cornucopia, three other tributes have made their way to safety.
She can see that Merona is out of breath, while Ocean is trying to comfort Aspen and is getting him to take deep breaths.
She then sees Latoya emerging from one of the tunnels, also seeming to be out of breath.
Kiara then smiles, and talks to herself.
Kiara: This is going to be so easy!

Only 5 tributes are still alive! Which of them will win it all?
We’ll find out tomorrow, because it’s finally finale time!
