Welcome to the second day in this freezing death zone!
Who’s gonna die today? Let’s find out!
-A Cold Morning-
The remaining careers, which consist of Lionel, Gary, Danielle and Jordan, camped out in one of the many log cabins last night. Today, they are walking through the woodland area of the arena.
They have been hunting for other tributes for most of the morning... but they haven’t found a single one.
Danielle: Why don’t we split up? Me and Lionel can search in one place while Gary and Jordan search somewhere else. It’ll increase our odds of finding other tributes, and we should still be able to take them down!
Lionel: I like that idea.
Jordan: I don’t know if I like it...
Gary: What are you chicken? I’d go by myself if I could!
Danielle: Calm down... it’s smarter if we have at least 1 person by our side. You guys go right, we’ll go left.
Danielle and Lionel then part ways with Gary and Jordan for the time being.
Gary and Jordan are hunting. Jordan has been listening to Gary boasting about himself when they can see a figure in the distance.
Confident they can take this person out, the two run to the figure, armed with weapons.
As soon as they’re close enough, they notice the figure is Kjoikl.
Jordan cautiously approaches her, but Gary goes in guns blazing.
Gary: You’re going down! Take this!
Gary throws his spear at Kjoikl, but she is easily able to dodge it. She then quick picks it up and throws it back at them.
It hits Gary in his leg, causing him to fall to his knees.
Jordan, who is now trying to run away, is then attacked.
Jordan tries to get away, but Kjoikl makes quick work of him and sticks a knife in his head.
BOOM!
Kjoikl then goes back to Gary, who is still in his knees.
Gary: You are going to LOSE! And you are gonna lose BADLY!
Gary then takes the spear out of his leg and attempts to throw it again at Kjoikl. This time, she catches it in midair and throws it back at him.
It shoots right through his chest.
Gary is now coughing up blood. Kjoikl walks up to him.
Gary: You... S-suck!
Kjoikl, without saying a word, pulls the spear out of Gary’s chest. Gary then dies right afterward.
BOOM!
Kjoikl then runs off with Gary’s spear.
After hearing 2 cannons, Danielle and Lionel have come to the crime scene to see the dead bodies of their allies.
Lionel: We really shouldn’t split up anymore.
-The Boys-
Ben is walking through the woods, hoping to not get caught by any careers. He suddenly runs into someone else.
It’s Crysen.
The two bump into one another, and fall on the ground. They both become frightened once they make eye contact, but they eventually lose that feeling of fright after being around each other for a few seconds.
Crysen: T-truce?
Ben: Y... yeah. Sure.
Crysen: M-maybe we could even w-work together?
Ben: Well... I don’t know if I... t-trust you.
At that very moment, they can hear 2 people walking.
They both decide to run away together.
Ben and Crysen run in the opposite direction of the noise, not wanting to get into any trouble.
However... they bump into someone else.
Ben and Crysen both fall. They look up to see the horrifying figure of Lionel looking down on them.
Lionel: Reaped scum... come here!
Lionel picks Ben up easily. He reaches for Crysen as well, but Crysen is able to get away.
However... his teammate Danielle starts to chase after him.
Crysen is running as fast as he can, paying no attention to Ben’s horrific scream, followed by his cannon.
BOOM!
Danielle is starting to gain on them... before Crysen bumps into yet ANOTHER figure.
It’s the people that he and Ben heard coming earlier.
It’s Zay and Jess.
The two look at Crysen with confused looks as Crysen looks at them, horrified.
Danielle then suddenly comes out of the woods and is about to slaughter Crysen when she notices the District 12 tributes.
She stops for a moment... then, she throws one of her spears. Not at Crysen, but at the pair of tributes before her.
BOOM!
Crysen hears the cannon go off, but he didn’t notice who got killed. All he was concerned with was getting away. He tries to run, but trips. As he’s on the ground, he hears the sound of fighting, and then he hears someone running off.
At that moment, Crysen stops moving entirely, paralyzed with fear.
He waits....

Just as he thinks it’s safe, someone snatches him and pulls him up to his feet.
Crysen: LEAVE ME ALONE!
???: It’s okay! She’s gone, I’m not gonna hurt you!
Crysen slowly opens his eyes.
...
...
...
...
...
It’s Jess.
Crysen looks behind her to see Zay dead on the ground, a spear lodged in his eye.
Jess takes Crysen over to Zay’s body.
Jess: It was nice to catch up, old friend... I’ll see you in the next life.
Crysen stands with her in silence.
Jess: Hey... if you want, you can stick with me.
Crysen: I-I’d like that.
Jess: Zay would’ve liked that.
She sheds a tear.
-Out of the Cabin-
Dexter, Luna, Michelle and Cass have been searching for food and supplies outside all day, armed with weapons they recieved in their bags during the bloodbath.
If you wanna know what those weapons are...
Michelle and Cass didn’t really get a chance to collect a bag.
Dexter got a bunch of knives in his bag, while Luna got some food... and one singular grenade.
That’s right, she received a grenade.
The group has no idea what to use it for, but they decided to keep it. Luna was the only person who objected to keeping it.
Oh, and if you want an update on what happened the other night... Michelle told the group the truth. Benji was her brother, and she loved him very much.
She’s still trying to cope with his death, but she hasn’t really looked any less depressed.
Anyway... the group is walking outside, talking amongst themselves.
Luna: I-If you had to fight one... would you rather fight a career, or 2 mutts?
Dexter: The mutts, for sure. They can’t throw, swing or shoot anything at me, and I think it’s safe to say they’re dumber than careers. It would be easy to trick them into running off a cliff or something.
Cass: Yeah... given how prone I am to... you know... I wouldn’t stand a chance against a career. The Mutts are my best bet.
Luna: Dammit... I’ll have to think of a harder one.
Dexter: What about you Michelle? What would you choose?
Michelle then starts to look even more depressed.
Dexter: Oh! I’m so sorry, did I-
Michelle: No no... you didn’t do anything. But I don’t want to answer the question.
Dexter then stays silent. The group continues walking.
Suddenly... they see someone in the distance.
Dexter: Be careful.
Dexter walks up to the figure.
Dexter: Hey! We don’t want any trouble...
Dexter can’t really see what the figure is doing, only that they’re getting closer.
Suddenly, he sees the figure is aggressively holding a sickle.
Dexter’s eyes widen.
Dexter: Guys, get back!
Before Dexter can say another word, the sickle comes down into his shoulder.
Everyone stares in complete shock.
The figure who held the sickle was Potato. She doesn’t trust anyone but herself.
Cass: Oh my god! You... you got...
Cass passes out.
Dexter: Stay back!
Dexter takes out a knife and attempts to stab Potato. All he does is give her a small cut.
Potato tries to strike again, but Dexter uses his strength to overpower her.
The two of them fight for a few minutes, when suddenly, they feel the air getting colder.
Everyone then sees that the sun is setting.
Dexter: This... this isn’t normal cold. We need to find a cabin!
Potato then runs off without doing anything else.
Luna and Michelle attempt to carry Cass to the nearest cabin, but she’s too heavy. Dexter can’t carry her like last time due to the injury in his shoulder.
Luna: I... I can’t feel my legs...
Dexter then thinks about making a tough choice.

Dexter: Guys... we have to leave her.
Luna: What? No! We can’t!
Dexter: I don’t like the idea any more than you do, but if we try to carry her, we’ll all die! I’m sorry!
Luna: No! We can do it! We can get her there!
Michelle drops Cass. She then starts pulling Luna toward the nearest cabin.
Luna tries to reach out for Cass, but she knows that she can’t save her if she wants to live.
With tears in her eyes, Luna and the group run to the nearest cabin, trying to ignore the cannon in the distance.
BOOM!
The three remaining survivors try to warm up inside the cabin by starting a fire inside the cabin’s fireplace. The three of them can barely feel their limbs, but they’ll all survive the night without having to cut anything off.
-Survivor’s Guilt-
Going back in time before the sun sets, Jess and Crysen look for a cabin to sleep in for the night, knowing what will happen when the sun sets.
Eventually, they find one.
Jess: Okay... I’m gonna check the inside of it. Stay here, okay?
Jess then goes inside the cabin to investigate.
Crysen stands alone for a minute, when he hears the sound of a twig breaking behind him.
Crysen looks behind him to see
Tybalt staring back at him. After locking eyes, Tybalt runs off into the snowy woods.
Crysen: Hey, wait!
Crysen goes chasing after Tybalt.
Crysen can’t find him, but he does run into someone else.
He sees Dean, sitting criss cross in the snow, his jacket by his side. He is wearing nothing but a T-Shirt.
Crysen: What are you doing...?
Dean remains silent.
Crysen slowly walks toward him, when suddenly he feels a hand grab his arm.
He turns around to see Jess.
Jess: I told you to stay by the cabin!
Crysen: But I heard someone! I came out here and found this guy!
Jess then notices Dean.
Jess: Why... why is your jacket off...?
Dean: Don’t mind me, I’m just waiting for the sun to set.
Jess then sees the sun is setting and the air is getting colder.
Jess: Oh crap... we gotta get inside. The cabin I checked is safe, we can go in there.
Crysen: He can come with us! This guy can come too!
Dean: No... my place is here.
Jess: What? You do know what happens when the sun goes down right? The temperature drops and the air gets colder and to freeze-
Dean is now crying as he interrupts Jess.
Dean: I’m sorry... I... I can’t live with the guilt anymore.
Crysen: What is he talking about?
Jess then seeks understanding from Dean.
Jess: I... I don’t think he wants to be saved.
Crysen: But... he’ll die! We can’t just leave him.
The sun has now set. The temperature is dropping.
Jess and Crysen can hear Cass’s cannon going off in the distance.
Jess: We have to go, come on.
Crysen: No! We can’t leave him!
Jess starts pulling Crysen toward the cabin. Crysen fights her to get loose, but she never let’s go. As the two get inside the house, they can hear a cannon.
BOOM!
That night, the fallen tributes are projected in the sky.

End of day 2!
Only 10 tributes remain! Which one of them will go on to be crowned the last tribute standing?
Will any of the tributes be able to defeat Kjoikl, or are they all doomed?
And even if they do... will they be able to defeat the careers?
Things aren’t looking good in this frozen wasteland!
We’ll see who dies next tomorrow!
