I loved the Barbie soundtrack and this was another bop off the album. This was kinda the song they pushed to be the big hit off the album. Dua Lipa is kind of one of the more it girls of POP who are younger so I think it was a smart choice. I liked the vibrant beat and the disco-esque chorus and I think it fits her discography.

Olivia Rodrgo - bad idea right?
huh hi. I will say Tik Tok made me like this song much more. The first time it came on I was like wtf is this shit. But this grew a lot on me. The chorus is fun and I think this contrasts the style of Vampire to show the album to be a bit more well-versed. She had a lot of pressure to deliver on her sophomore album and I think she had enough songs to say it was a hit.

BOP. I have been listening to her album on repeat. That album has gave so many bops tbh I really liked it a lot. Anyhow I actually didn't love this at first and I am a Tate fan but I just did not care for this single much but I really grew to love this. This may be the most nostalgic feeling song that was put out this year. This was giving me old Nicki... the Nicki I missed so much. I love this side of Nicki and this was just transforming me back to the old days. Taylor Swift - Say Don't Go
When 1989 came out this year, she said this was her best remake yet which... I disagree with still but initially I did not like the 5 much at all. However 4/5 grew on me a lot so I agree it is good, but I do still think the Red Vault tracks are my favorite. Besides the point. This was actually my initial fav of the 5 tracks and it lost some momentum for me but I did love this song especially the bridge. Nobody constructs a bridge better than Miss Swift anyways.

Kelsea Ballerini - Blindsided
Kelsea's last album last year for me was such a disappointment. 2020 she put out my favorite track of that year, and that album was arguably my favorite album that year too. Her album last year just did not have anything for me... not one track even made my top 50. Her EP was single handedly everything I wanted. Rolling up the Welcome Mat was 6 pieces of perfection to shed her struggles with her recent divorce. This was a standout track from the EP for me and I am so happy to see how Kelsea prevailed this year.
