Honestly I think this year was very strong compared to recent for music but I think it lost some steam by the end of the year but a really strong first half for sure. Taylor Swift - Say Don't Go
When 1989 came out this year, she said this was her best remake yet which... I disagree with still but initially I did not like the 5 much at all. However 4/5 grew on me a lot so I agree it is good, but I do still think the Red Vault tracks are my favorite. Besides the point. This was actually my initial fav of the 5 tracks and it lost some momentum for me but I did love this song especially the bridge. Nobody constructs a bridge better than Miss Swift anyways.
Countdown History: This brings Taylor's record count to 20!!!! She extends her lead. FUN FACT, this is actually her lowest entry onto my countdown ever. All 20 have been in the top 40. Can she get her 2nd straight number 1 song this year?

Kelsea Ballerini - Blindsided
Kelsea's last album last year for me was such a disappointment. 2020 she put out my favorite track of that year, and that album was arguably my favorite album that year too. Her album last year just did not have anything for me... not one track even made my top 50. Her EP was single handedly everything I wanted. Rolling up the Welcome Mat was 6 pieces of perfection to shed her struggles with her recent divorce. This was a standout track from the EP for me and I am so happy to see how Kelsea prevailed this year.
Countdown History: This gives Kelsea her 11th hit on my countdown. With her strong EP coming out, will she get a 2nd number 1 hit on the countdown this year?
