I never thought I would be writing this, but alas, here I am. This year, due to a combination of social events, lessening depression, and other external factors, I took a break from Tengaged that lasted about a year. During that time, I only logged in once or twice to view my mails or look at the blogs, but for the most part, I stopped using my laptop for nearly everything besides the bit of DJing I did for friends; simply put, I closed my laptop and got a life. It was one of the worst decisions I've ever made.
The world outside of Tengaged is boring. Tengaged is an everlasting whirlwind that can engross people for hours. Conversely, the real world offers little but measly social interactions with friends and the all too depressing world of politics. The year of my life that I spent without this game was the loneliest, most boring year of my life. Due to having absolutely nothing to do, I came so far as to begin reading books! Despite gaining slightly better grades in my school subjects and gaining a few more friends, it was a very regrettable experience.
Leaving this utopia of fun even affected my physically. I found myself unable to sleep at night, and my face began sprouting acne due to the first ever use of my sweat glands. The outside air exposed me to diseases such as influenza that never would have breached the filtered, incense scented air of my computer room. Even my problem solving skills were dulled; I was unable to use admin commands on my property or regenerate my parents' car after being involved in a collision. The change was unbearable, thus my return to Roblox today.
To anyone who is thinking about quitting Tengaged: don't even try. This website has already implanted a chunk of itself into your heart in your brain, and much like detoxing, you'll crave this website every minute of your life. I had to learn this the hard way. Now that I know, every minute of my idle time will be entertaining myself with this game. No more do I have to worry about President Trump or Flint or Syria. It's good to be back.
