I asked him if he wanted one too and he said yes. His eyes just lit up and he smiled. I asked him his name and we talked for a bit. He was a very nice person. He hugged me and thanked me. I can't stop smiling....I also gave him the change....
Pay it forward....I hope you do to:) It is extremely rewarding for the soul:)
Webly I know what you are saying.....that is why I always make sure that it is something I can actually help with....I gave him food not money (except for the change)...and I always make sure the deed goes to good use.
That was a nice thing you did. Homeless people are usually very friendly and even if I don't hae any money on me (I often just use my card), they are still just as kind. I guess they value the company as much as the food. It must be a very lonely existence.
LOL once I went to eat with my friends, and there were some homeless guys outside. I decided to bag them up some food, except when I came outside after dinner, they were all gone :(
Most homeless people in Toronto convince light hearted people to buy them food, and they save up their cash for the LCBO. I used to give my money all the time until I volunteered in a soup kitchen. Then I saw most of their true colours!
