Wow. Where do I even begin?
How this only has a 69% on Rotten Tomatoes is so far beyond me. I’ll admit i was a bit critical of a stand-alone Joker movie especially without Heath Ledger but boy do i look dumb now.
This movie had an incredible score, the bathroom dance music gives me goosebumps. It goes without saying, but the acting was also too notch and easily the best of the year.
This film has such an uncomfortable aura around it and you felt so..i don’t even know the word as you watched Arthur slowly descend into madness. There was like 1 or 2 scenes that had good humor but you were too uncomfortable to laugh which was awesome.
One thing that improves this film was its honest look at how society treats those who suffer from mental illness. It didn’t shy away from anything or try and make it out to be something it isn’t.
Loved the story with Thomas Wayne, it added a nice little touch to the already stories Batman vs Joker lineage.
The Murray Franklin show had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. 6 words: You get what you fucking deserve.
I truly could go on and on aboht how good this was but this is already too long. If you need to know how much i love this movie, i saw it in theaters FOUR times. I also have already purchased the DVD.

My only critique of the movie is that there was little fun to be had, and the story didn't move along super fast I felt like. Although I still really liked it, the acting performances and the character study were amazing
