*Days after “Daddy” exited the wreckage, another figure gets up from the rubble and the remaining scraps. They casually just walk out of it, also scratch free. They are much less human-looking than “Daddy” - being more shadowy, dark and abnormal than “Daddy” is. The sun quickly bothers the figure, and they run into a nearby building*
A woman inside the building - “Oh, my gosh… the Shadowdancer is real…”
*The being, now known as Shadowdancer, turns around, and stares at the woman*
*OUTSIDE THE BUILDING*
*The woman's screams echo through the alleyway*

*Neuron looks at pictures of herself as a baby, with her mom*
Neuron - “This aged well.” *she evaporates the picture frame in her hand. She turns her head at Demetres’s ashes, as they blow into the wind* “Goodbye.”
*Neuron sees a car driving towards the house in the distance*
Neuron - “I should go, dad. Seems like your new family is coming home. The people you actually had time for.” *runs out the back door, before blasting off into the air, flying away*
[THE PROTECTORS III : THE DARKNESS UNCOVERED.]
*THE PROTECTORS OFFICE*
*Sensor sits in her office when Minera walks in, Thundro by her side*
Sensor - “Hello.”
Minera - “Hi. I just wanted to say… just because Dann is dead doesn’t mean we’re leaving. We have pledged our loyalty to you and The Protectors. We won’t go against that. Until the day we pass.”
Sensor - “It means a lot. But, you do know you aren’t being forced to stay here? We wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to just… move on.”
Minera - “We know. But we aren’t. We’re here.”
Sensor - “It’s appreciated.”
*OUTSIDE THE PROTECTORS BUILDING*
*The Green Witch stands in the alleyway nearby, Maximum and Jessica standing with her in a triangle formation *
The Green Witch - “I think we’ve waited long enough. I think we need to decide what we want to do next.”
Jessica - “We killed The Reaper. We’re free now. We don’t have to do anything anymore.”
Maximum - “We killed our Reaper. Our nightmare is over. Not everyone else’s.”
The Green Witch - “Are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
Maximum - “I think we have to fight for the good. If not with The Protectors, we at least have to start doing something.”
Jessica sighs - “This is stupid.”
Maximum - “But it’s right.”
*Jessica groans, walking inside The Protectors building, Maximum and The Green Witch follow*
*INSIDE THE PROTECTORS BUILDING*
*Jessica, Maximum and The Green Witch casually walk in and sit down at their desks to many of The Protectors shock*
*Night Woman and Fuerza Mística walk over to The Green Witch*
Night Woman - “So… are you officially one of us now?”
The Green Witch - “Yeah, and what about it?”
Night Woman - “Oh, nothing! Welcome to the team. We just didn’t know-“
The Green Witch - “Well, now you know.”
Fuerza Mística - “Do you happen to know where Neuron is?”
The Green Witch - “I’m not her babysitter. No clue. Haven’t heard from her in weeks.”
*Fuerza Mística slightly nods, sadly*
*THERE’S A PAUSE*
Alexa Rose walks over - “When was the last time you all saw Neuron?”
*Everyone glances at one another*
Vinata - “The last time I saw her was during the battle. She chased after some man and just never came back. It was while you were… in space? I guess. That was a bit wacky, I can’t say for sure..”
Alexa Rose - “I think I may have been the last person to see her. When I was in space, well… a spaceship crashed down towards Earth, basically. Sort of a freak accident, but it was during my fight with Magnus. So after I defeated him, I flew back down to Earth… and I saw her passed out near the crash site. The thing is... she was breathing and sort of looked like she was regaining consciousness, so I left. I did see a man there, though. Do we know who that could’ve been?”
Vinata - “She called him dad, I think. But she looked shocked to see him. Like she saw a ghost.”
*THERE’S A PAUSE*
The Green Witch - “The Reaper said that he rose her dad. And that he wanted to talk to her. He was a ghost.”
Ji - “What is it with you people and neglecting to tell us all of this important information?”
The Green Witch - “I thought he was lying so I wouldn’t kill him. Nobody wants to know where Neuron is more than me.”
Vinata - “He did call her Jaime, so it kind of makes sense. I think it might’ve really been her dad.”
Marjorey - “She could be in trouble..”
Night Woman - “Have you seen her before? I’m more worried for her dad.”
Vyx - “Her powers are terrifying if you’re on the wrong side of them.”
Europa - “You can say that again.”
Vyx - “That again.”
*Europa rolls his eyes*
Saint - “I think maybe we should just wait her out. She's had a lot of family related trauma, maybe we can just give her some space.”
Violeta - “Neglecting to face the problem will solve nothing.”
Saint - “How old is Neuron?”
The Green Witch - “19.”
Saint - “Then there’s no reason to think her being gone for less than a week is some scandal.”
Vyx - “Aurora, you have to admit the context of her disappearing act is a bit sketchy.”
Saint - “I do think we need to take this seriously, but we just need to consider that… she’s a grown woman who just met her dad. Maybe there’s less to the story than we think.”
Marjorey - “It can’t hurt to find her and make sure everything is okay.”
Eden - “Marjorey has a point, Saint. There’s no harm in making sure she’s okay.”
Saint sighs - “I guess you’re right. But are we sure she hasn’t contacted or tried to contact any of you guys? If we’re going on a hunt, there better be a good reason.”
*Everybody looks at one another*
The Green Witch - “I just think we’re close enough so that if she were to run away, I’d be someone she’d tell.”
Saint - “Hyper-specific scenario to have in mind.”
Sensor - “Problem is… we don’t know where she is.”
The Green Witch - “Then we find her.”
*AT THE TOP OF A BUILDING*
*Neuron descends from the sky and lands on the top of a building*
*Neuron looks around, her jet black hair blowing in the air, as she stares at The Protectors building in the distance, her eyes filling with black, almost entirely devoid of color*
*ACTUS MORTIS’S APARTMENT*
*Actus Mortis, Poison Kisses, Dark Shadow, Spine Striker and Darkadia sit alone, in a dark room*
*Actus Mortis is staring out the window, sighing, fog covering up the window*
Actus Mortis - “Where’s Gia and Eros?”
Darkadia - “Quite frankly.. they left us. They just walked out.”
Poison Kisses - “I don’t blame them. We are an organization that promotes violence.”
*Dark Shadow rolls his eyes*
Darkadia - “I think now that X is gone.. it’s time to just disassemble.”
Actus Mortis turns his head towards Darkadia - “Are you serious, right now?”
Spine Striker - “I don’t know, Actus Mortis. She might have a point. Our team lost. For you this is the second loss in a row. And we don’t have a leader anymore.”
Actus Mortis - “Yeah, we do. Me.”
Darkadia - “We don’t have a reason to fight anymore.”
Actus Mortis - “Spine Striker lost her mother at the hands of them. I lost my friends. We all lost members of our team…”
Darkadia - “I’m sorry, but this is just extra. I’m out.” *leaves the building*
*Spine Striker shrugs and follows Darkadia closely behind*
Actus Mortis - “We don’t need you girls anyways!” *turns to Poison Kisses and Dark Shadow* “Am I right?”
Poison Kisses - “It’s over, Actus. We don’t have anything left to fight for.”
*Actus Mortis shrugs, defeated*
*Poison Kisses and Dark Shadow leave*
Actus Mortis - “I guess it’s me alone.”
*IN THE SHADOWS OF AN ALLEYWAY*
*Neuron hears screams of torture and agony below, she looks down from the top of the building, and flies down to observe what’s happening. She sees a girl being forcefully kissed by a man*
Neuron runs over - “Get off of her.”
The man turns his head and scoffs - “What are you going to do about it?”
*Neuron raises her hand, and puts her hand into a first, causing the man to start choking*
Neuron - “You can go, girl. He won’t be hurting you anymore.”
*The girl stares at the man, and then at Neuron, and she runs away*
Neuron, to the man - “You were assaulting her. Harassing her. Judging by her shock and horror, I’d guess this was a first time occurence. For her. Not for other girls though, right? This is probably a nightly occurrence for you. Gosh, men are dogs.”
*Neuron swings her arm down, and the man evaporates into a pile of dust and ash. Neuron doesn’t even flinch*
Shadowdancer - “Good job.”
*Neuron turns her head, and notices a masked shadowy figure*
Shadowdancer - “You let that one girl get away, but your powers are very impressive.”
Neuron - “Who are you?”
Shadowdancer - “You may not know who I am, but you know my name.”
Neuron - “Were you on the spaceship? The one that crashed?”
Shadowdancer - “You think I’m an alien?”
Neuron - “You don’t look human necessarily. It wouldn’t be too shocking. Who are you?”
Shadowdancer - “I don’t have a name. I’m known as Shadowdancer, though.”
Neuron - “That’s just a myth.”
Shadowdancer - “Yet, here I am.”
Neuron - “What do you want?”
Shadowdancer - “I didn’t want anything, but then I saw you. Your powers are extraordinary. You evaporated that man, as though it was nothing.”
Neuron - “I can do the same to you, unless you get to the point.”
Shadowdancer - “Let me guess… you gained new or enhanced powers after the crash.”
Neuron - “What do you know about the crash?”
Shadowdancer - “Did you have powers before the crash, even?”
Neuron, shrugging, with an eyeroll - “Yes.”
Shadowdancer - “But they were different?”
Neuron - “I have my old powers, but there’s just… more to them now. Okay?”
Shadowdancer - “Yet, you already have such control over them.”
Neuron - “I’ve been training and controlling my old powers for all my life.. Concealing them. It’s second nature to me.”
Shadowdancer - “Which is why you’d be a perfect ally for me.”
Neuron - “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, I don’t know who you are.”
Shadowdancer - “You know me more than most.”
Neuron - “I have no reason to trust or work with you.”
Shadowdancer - “Because you have no one else.”
Neuron - “I have-”
Shadowdancer - “You used to have. They don’t know your powers, do they? Your new ones.”
Neuron - “Not exactly-”
Shadowdancer - “They’ll fear you. I would never fear you.”
Neuron - “You don’t know my friends, they wouldn’t fear me…”
Shadowdancer - “You’re a killer. You can evaporate people just by thinking about it.”
Neuron - “I can evaporate you-”
Shadowdancer - “Don’t bother. I am immune to your attacks.”
Neuron - “You haven’t been attacked by me, yet.”
Shadowdancer - “Just take my word for it.”
Neuron - “Because you’ve proven to be extremely trustworthy?”
Shadowdancer - “Because if you don’t take my word for it, you’ll try to kill me, and as a result I’ll have to kill you. That’s something neither of us wants.”
*PAUSE*
Neuron - “What do you want?”
Shadowdancer - “To teach you. Follow me.” *turns around and walks into a nearby apartment building*
*Bronze, formerly known as Hydra, exits the airport, with a blonde wig and oversized sunglasses*
*Bronze catches a cab, to get to her apartment building*
*IN THE APARTMENT BUILDING*
*Bronze walks in, and immediately notices 2 girls in her room, one is clearly a teenager, and one is in her 20s. They both stare at Bronze, angered*
Bronze, taking off her sunglasses - “Oh boy. What do you want?” *takes wig off, and throws it on the dresser nearby*
*The younger one, Belladonna, walks towards Bronze*
Bronze - “You know you don’t want to get too close, little girl.”
Bullet, the older one - “Don’t talk to her like that.”
Bronze - “How did you guys know I’d be here, even?”
Bullet - “We’ve been waiting for you.”
Bronze - “Why?”
Bullet - “I’m sure you remember our experiments.”
Bronze - “How could I forget.”
Belladonna - “We weren’t the only ones.”
Bronze - “I know that, there were those few others-”
Belladonna - “No. No, you misunderstand.”
Bronze turns to Bullet - “What is she talking about?”
Bullet - “There’s an organization. It’s the organization that forced those doctors to experiment on us. It’s called Supremacis. They recruited us after the experiments were over. They are terrorists with one goal in mind. Eradicate any non-super.”
Bronze - “Wait, they wanted to get rid of NON-supers? Everyone thought they were trying to get RID of supers.”
Bullet - “No. They wanted to create a new order to the world. Make supers the supremes and mortals the oppressed.”
Bronze - “And what do you do for them?”
Bullet - “It’s complicated. We were sent here to kill you. We don’t want that anymore.”
Bronze - “I’m honored. But why not?”
Bullet - “We need you. We need you on our side. You are the key to our success. Or our failure.”
Bronze - “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Belladonna - “Are your powers getting weaker? Are you getting weaker?”
*PAUSE*
Bronze - “I used to turn to solid metal. Unbreakable. Unrusted metal. Now… I’m bronze. I’m weaker.”
Bullet - “It’s like a cancer to your body. When they did their experiments… they manufactured these artificial heartstrings that source your powers, but… they are weakening. Hurting you. And hurting your powers. Eventually… it could, hypothetically, lead to, not just yours, but OUR deaths. It will only get worse as time goes on, unless we work together.”
Bronze - “Like… an overthrowing?”
Bullet - “A negotiation that could lead to an overthrow. Or… we could kill you.”
Bronze - “I wouldn’t be so sure you could take me.”
Bullet - “We’re dying anyways, so might as well die trying, right?”
Bronze - “Alright. I don’t think anyone would really win in that scenario, so… I’m in.”
Bullet - “Team HYDRA.”
Bronze slightly chuckles - “Alright, team HYDRA.”
*THE PROTECTORS OFFICE*
*Saint, Vyx, Maximum, Jessica, The Green Witch, Alexa Rose, Night Woman and Fuerza Mística sit around a table*
Maximum - “I know finding Neuron is for the best, but… what if we look for her and what if we FIND her… but we don’t like what we found.”
The Green Witch - “What the hell, Max?”
Night Woman - “She’s apart of our team. We don’t leave anyone behind. She has helped us time and time again. It’s our time to help her.”
The Green Witch - “You of all people should be wanting to find her. She is why we’re here. She has protected us, defended us and went out of her way to make sure we got what we wanted.”
Jessica - “Let’s not oversell our relationship with her.”
The Green Witch - “No, she is WHY we are still here. She is WHY we have a group. She got us here, the LEAST we could do is help find her and make sure she is safe.”
*Jessica frowns, knowing The Green Witch is right*
Fuerza Mística - “We could always go to him.”
*PAUSE*
Jessica - “Who the hell is him?”
Fuerza Mística - “Ithemba.”
Night Woman - “No. We shouldn’t. We have to do this by ourselves.”
Alexa Rose - “I agree. He’s been through enough.”
*Sensor walks over to the table*
Sensor - “Do any of us know where Neuron’s family lived?”
The Green Witch - “Considering her mom abandoned her, giving her to X Caliber when she was a baby, and then her father was killed, and randomly came back almost 2 decades later… no. We don’t know where they lived, exactly.”
*Eden and Tlaloc run inside*
Eden - “GUYS.”
Sensor turns her head - “Hey?”
Eden - “Guys, I think we may know a thing or two about where Neuron may be. And if not… we have a bigger threat in our path.”
*The Green Witch stands up, shocked*
Tlaloc - “We were walking home when we passed the Police Station. We went in to see if they knew anything, when we heard the story from a woman saying someone flew down from the sky to stop an attempted assault. She used her powers to get a man off of her. Her description matches pretty closely to Neuron. Minus a few details.”
Eden - “This happened a few streets down from here. She’s in the city. Somewhere. I think, at least.”
Alexa Rose - “We could check where the spaceship crash was.”
Sensor - “Why?”
Alexa Rose - “I know she probably won’t be there, but she could’ve left something behind. Something that could help.”
Eden - “She’s right. It can’t hurt. At least we have reason to believe she’s nearby.”
Sensor - “Let’s go, then.”
*They all exit the room, meeting Vinata, Marjorey, Light Storm, Dark Storm, Ji, Minera and Thundro on their way out, to gather all Protectors together before going towards the desert*
*ON TOP OF A BUILDING*
*Neuron and Shadowdancer stand on top of the building, looking down, as they notice The Protectors walking towards the desert*
Neuron - “That’s my team.”
Shadowdancer - “Do you want to follow them.”
Neuron slightly nods - “I need to see what they’re doing.”
Shadowdancer - “I’ll go with you.”
Actus Mortis - “Me, too.”
*Neuron quickly whips around, and sees Actus Mortis is standing behind her*
Actus Mortis - “You were abandoned by your team, too. Weren’t you?”
*Neuron exhales*
Actus Mortis - “Let me join in on your plan, please. I need someone to work with. I need a team. To get back at those who wronged me.”
*Neuron looks to Shadowdancer, who takes a step back*
*Neuron looks over at Actus Mortis, skeptically*
*IN A DUNGEON*
*Sonya Blade and Red Viper walk into a Prison-like setting and check in on X and Jade, who are silently suffering*
Sonya Blade - “Are you all ready to bend a knee to me, yet?”
*X and Jade, starving and sleep deprived, shake their heads “no”*
Red Viper - “Come on, guys. Just do it. If you do so, you will be free. With a team. And you’ll be alive.”
Jade - “But… you won’t let me kill my enemies. You won’t let me avenge the death of my best friend. My sister. I would rather suffer and die again, than be following someone who is trying to stop me from getting my revenge on these people who put me through such pain.”
X, exhaustedly - “What she said.”
*Red Viper and Sonya Blade exchange a glance*
Red Viper - “Maybe we just should’ve let them stay dead.”
*Somebody storms in*
*Sonya Blade and Red Viper quickly turn their heads and run towards the door, curiously*
*They reach the doorway and notice “Daddy”*
Sonya Blade - “Who are you?”
“Daddy” - “I was here to search for my daughter. Something tells me she has left now. But I don’t feel like making my trip a waste. So I’m here to start something. I was drawn here because I know your specific set of abilities and your job titles. I could use you, but the question is... Are you with me… or are you against me?”
*Sonya Blade and Red Viper exchange a worried glance, confused as to what his plan is*
Sonya Blade - “Well, I have a few questions first, starting with… who the hell are you?”
*DRAMATIC PAUSE*
“Daddy” - “I’m the King of Planet Kallister. Father of Princess Maliyah... They call me Anoroc. Now… do you want to hear what I have to say… or do we have to do this the hard way?”

*Neuron nods before ascending into the sky*

*As Neuron descends towards The Protectors, Sensor forces down a utility pole to deflect Neuron, as she shoots an energy bolt down towards them*
*AT A FUNERAL*
*A group of Protectors stand around a coffin, all dressed in black, as it descends into the ground*

Alexa Rose - “We were doing this to save her. But now… it’s time to start doing this to get revenge.”
Violeta - “We aren’t just going to turn on her.”
Alexa Rose - “She is a bad guy now. Period.”
*Half the Protectors start to walk out the door, as the other half desperately try to stop them*
*IN AUSTRIA*
*Bronze turns bronze, whilst holding a gun in her hand, walking towards a building with Bullet and Belladonna, as people start to run away from them*

*Poison Kisses looks out a window, and tears fill her eyes at what she sees outside*

*Tears stream down Saint’s face*

Neuron, sobbing - “I DON’T WANT THIS ANYMORE.” *energy pushes out all around her, knocking everyone and everything nearby to collapse to the ground, as she starts shrieking*
