Warrior Album Rankings

Sep 3, 2021 by Jaxon
imageLet me tell you... I was late to the party, but I am a Warrior truther now. Of all of Keshas work, this album definitely had the least amount of impact on me... and I'd still agree with that... but this album is still complete magic. I think the only two weaker tracks are the last two on my rankings, and everything else is just completely beautiful and life changing to listen to. I believe this will probably be the most anticipated Kesha rank from my friends, so let's get on to it.

16th: Out Alive
I enjoyed this one, she just didn't really do anything special for me? It's fun and all that but it didn't really make a huge mark, especially compared to the vast majority of the songs on this album which all stood out and were absolutely iconic in so many different ways. It is definitely a song that I wouldn't introduce to my Kesha casual friends, but I wouldn't skip her either on a listen through.

15th: Past Lives
This is the other song that kinda fell into 'good but also meh' territory for me. I think she has a very different sound to her than other songs on the album, and I love the lyrical meaning behind the song. The song would never get a skip from me, and I think it is a cute and good way to end the album (because I would never sit through and listen to a bunch of remixes, though the deconstructed are a different story... just I don't see those as like 'album' songs more-so like cool fan service entries?) Anyways, yeah I like her but she is the weakest of the greats.

14th: All That Matters (The Beautiful Life)
I love this song. Okay? Please let me get it out of the way right here and now and just say every song here and up I love. I think this song is catchy, has a great beat, is extremely fun to listen to, but the lyrics can be a tad bit repetitive. I think this song realllly is a great example and focus of the overall general sound of the album has overall, and I think it really worked? The fact that the deluxe version has 16 iconic songs, and 14 of them are all in this extremely coveted status for me is kind of iconic and Kesha did #that.

13th: Wherever You Are
I think very similarly to #14, this song is great and it has all the elements of having a great beat, its really catchy, its a fun listen... but I also feel like it can be just a tad bit on the repetitive side of things. I think I like this song more than my #14 just because I think that I like the lyrics and message of this song more than the other, but I think this is a really cute love song and I stan her.

12th: Warrior
So, I honestly think this was the perfect track to name the album after and start it out with. I think it serves that purpose perfectly, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is going to be a top ranked song. I think this song is great, but it isn't one of the greatest of the greats on the album. She sets the tone perfectly, and she gets you ready to experience the Warrior experience. Iconic.

11th: Gold Trans Am
I think this song is really fun and a nice little change in pacing from the album a bit. I love the chorus, I love the verses, and I was debating whether to rank it here at 11th or at 9th. Ultimately, I did decide on it going here just because to me this song has like really fun, cute vibes to it, and I don't think it was trying to serve anything more than that. It has fun chant vocals, its sexualized and iconic... I really love listening to this one.

10th: Die Young
I was shocked, that this is where Die Young was ending up. I loved the radio singles on this album, I think they are super fun party hits and I love when Kesha gives me her white girl rapping. With this landing here, I think it really shows how even I have severely underrated Warrior for the longest time because this is a timeless bop for me.

9th: Crazy Kids
I heavily relate die young & crazy kids, I think that might have been the promotional fault of this album being that the two songs are extremely similar in my opinion. I do like Crazy Kids a tad bit more than Die Young, but everything positive I have to say about Die Young definitely applies also to Crazy Kids. She might be an unpopular opinion, but its mine that I have xoxo.

8th: Wonderland
So we enter the top half of the album with Wonderland, and I absolutely think this is where ranking things get a bit harder. I think this song is extremely well done, and I love hearing Kesha get a bit more serious with her songs and I loved the slowed down change up this song offered on this album. I think her vocals really popped off in this song and as time goes on I think this song honestly has a lot of potential to grow on me and slowly keep rising my ranks to be honest.

7th: Thinking Of You
I love love love the pettiness of this song. I love the beat, I love the everything about it. I was genuinely shocked to see in my progress of the ranks, this song kept going to a bit (being the 4th track on the album) and it ultimately ended up in 7th??? That was insane to me because this song pops off on different levels. Iconic bop.

6th: Dirty Love
This was one of the few Warrior tracks I was very familiar with and love. I think this song is extremely fun to listen to, and I honestly really love Iggy Pops addition to the song. I love the slight rock tones this song has to it, and I love the (low-key) empowerment this song has to it. I think this song is really fun and it is easily seen while listening to it, and its a shame she just missed out on the top 5.

5th: Last Goodbye
I feel like this is the common favorite of the album, and I agree she is a really beautiful song. I think this song has a really mature meaning behind it compared to the vast majority of Keshas work up to this point. I think she rightfully deserves her place in my top 5 in the ranks, but I really do think I just enjoy the 4 songs above it more. I'd say this is where the ranks go from S tier, to the S+ tier because this song is damn near perfection.

4th: Love Into The Light
I reallllly enjoyed the sound to this song. I think it is by far the most different and unique sound a song has on this album by far, and it really makes it stick out for only good reasons. I think the switch-up from the verses to the chorus works extremely well, and this song stands out to me as an easy one that I just really enjoy. This is like the perfect song to turn up all the way and just get lost in the music to in my opinion,

3rd: Only Wanna Dance With You
I honestly absolutely adore this song. I think the message behind it is really cute, I think the upbeat and simple beat behind the song is really enjoyable to listen to, and I think this is an easy standout on the album for me. I think she rightfully deserves her spot in the top 3 and I have 0 regrets about stanning it.

2nd: C'Mon
I mean so I learned recently she was a SINGLE but I swear I literally NEVER heard her on the radio??? Which honestly makes absolutely no sense to me because this song honestly outsells both Die Young & Crazy Kids. I honestly really love the sound of this song, and I love the meaning behind the song. It is extremely relatable to me and where I am in my life right now and she was robbed of a successful radio performance. I don't know why this God among people on earth is constantly underrated.

1st: Supernatural
So if it's even a thing... this song itself would literally be S++ tier. This song is beyond perfection. Everything about it just is way too good. The vocals? Iconic. The beat? Iconic. The fact she wrote this song about sex with a ghost? Iconic. I have 0 bad things to say about this song, and I genuinely feel like if you don't appreciate this song you are not a true Kesha fan. She changed and revolutionized the music industry with this song right here.

I really enjoyed taking the time to listen to this album on repeat all week to get a better grasp of each song to give a proper ranking. I really can't wait for my next blog ranking Rainbow because it is my all time favorite Kesha album!
