Can all of you please mail me a picture of your tributes! Please make sure it matches any physical description YOU have provided me of them (if you haven't provided any physical description, you didn't have to so don't worry), and make sure it matches the age of your tribute too. Your age may have changed from when you first applied, so double check below what the age of your tribute is. If you are from District 1, can your tributes please have blonde hair. If you are from District 11, can your tributes please be either mixed-race or black, thank you! If you fail to send me one, I'll just chose one for you :P.

"MEAT PANOVA" The female escort for District 10 bellows at the top of her lungs in pure exctiment. She was extremely to cheery for a District 10 reaping. This girl was relatively young, around 15, and quite large. But not by choice, it was more of a genetic disorder, but that didn't stop the other teenagers from bullying her beyond tears. She was still starving like every other District 10 citizen. Her parents were forever supportive of her and would ask her why she's always so sad, but she would only turn away and ignore the actual problem. But she would instead sneak to her Uncle's butchery and steal scraps of meat to survive. Her parents did feed Meat, but not enough. It wasn't their fault, Meat's family was unusually poor. Her parents have gone weeks without a meal. Now she is going to enter a battle arena. At least she shall get to eat all she wants for a week in Panem. Meat begins crying on stage, embarrassingly, feeling sorry for herself.
"Ahhh, come, come baby girl! It's okay!" The escort pats her on the back, genuinly feeling her pain. But after a minute, the escort is ordered to continue by a peacekeeper.
"And the boy tribute from District 10," the escort says while holding Meat's hand, "is... RUNAWAY MCAVOY! Let's meet you! EXCITING!"
This 14-year-old boy's mind was panicking frantically. What was his escape? Was there an escape? Where would he escape to? But his legs are carrying him uncontrollably closer to the stage. It appeared to be fate, as his mind would have run him a mile away from the scene. He saw peacekeepers to his left, to his right. Behind him, on the stage. Could he take one? No, he couldn't he decided.
Well, maybe he could win the games? Play nice with the strong tributes. Or he could fake his training score? Some tributes did that sometimes. Play it weak and float to the end of the show.
"Our tributes!" The escort called. 'Oh fuck,' he thought. He was already on stage, once his eyes became aware. Runaway had always fled every foster home he ever had. He won't be fleeing his home in the capital. That would be a solid certainty.
In District 11, all seemed calm. Blossom from nearby orchards were carrying themselves in the wind and over the heads of the misfortunate teenagers waiting in line. The sounds of mockingjays in the distance chirping their light and simple songs across-
"HAPPY HUNGER GAMES" The escort screams, smiling with way too many pure white teeth.
"It's so peaceful here, I love it!" She almost cries, smelling in the blossom, as if she'd never visited District 11. Sounds about right.
"BLOOM FINNERAN! You, beautiful tribute, thankyou for your service! It gives me a reason to dress pretty today!"
Bloom's tessera was quite high this year. Around 25? She was 16, so it should really only be 5. But District 11, in actual fact, had a lesser tessera count than usual this year. But this didn't make the district wealthy. There was still starving families, like Bloom's, who where poor. In Bloom's family, it felt like someone she loved was on their deathbed almost every week. Her life was tough. She climbed trees. She had broken limbs falling from them, just to pluck a last peach from a tree top. She would risk her life leaving the disitrct boundaries to find extra food for her family. Now her life just got harder. It just got scarier. Her life always felt worthless, but now it felt very, very real.
"Oh, you look so young, so pretty! Do you use face cream!" The escort laughs. Bloom simply frowns, playing with her feet on stage.
"That's just a joke! The capital don't sell face cream to the districts, unfortunately."
She trips over to the male bowl.
"And the boy is... BLUNT MACKERSON, where are you?"
He was one of the eldest at the reaping. He had a chance of winning, he supposed. He always knew his chances weren't great, but being reaped wasn't his decision. His family forced him to take extra tessera. His name was in the bowl 85 times, thanks to the word of his mother. How he resented her. And his father, for letting it happen. He hated them. What parent sends their child into the reaping on purpose? It was selfish, and led Blunt to a life of drugs. They had to be grown and extracted from outside District 11 boundaries, in the wild. But, he knew some people...
"I'd just like to say thank you," Blunt speaks proudly on stage, "to my mother and father. I love them very dearly. They are my life and soul to me."
That was all a fake speech. He was just setting his plan. A stroke of dumb-genius. He then punched the District 11 escort in the nose.
"AHH!" She screamed as blood curdled her makeup. If she didn't already look like a clown, she did now. The assembly of citizens reacted. Some laughed, some gasped, some froze in fear for their district.
'Keep it together' she thought. Bloom cracked a smile and had to turn to face the wall behind her to hold her laughter. About ten peacekeepers dashed onto the stage and projected Bloom and Blunt into the reaping building.
"I've been told there have been some issues in District 11," the escort for District 12 announces, "so straight on with the reaping, without any hesitations!"
"ROSE KRIMSON"
A young girl of 14-year-old's name was announced over the audience. Everyone knew this girl. Everyone. Her friends clinged onto her hand and pleaded her not go, crying for her. She had many of those types of friends. Rose was famous in District 12 for simply being the most genuine human being there ever was, and will be. She was a friend to all, and to all, a friend. She would be kind to every victim, to every elder, to every bully, to every child and every peacekeeper she met. She sometimes volunteered herself for other people's tessera, just so their names were in the bowl less times. It looks like all those favours caught up to Rose. The only person she was too harsh on was herself.
Once she had ascended the stairs and stood on the stage, she looked ahead and smiled beautifully. But, for the first time in a long time, everyone in the crowd could tell the smile was fake. She was just an optimist, but that was hardly enough to compensate for being reaped into The Hunger Games. She smiles for others, but not for herself. Inside, she had prepared herself already to die.
"And the boy, COLE SCHWINN!"
This young man had a lot of childhood issues, stemming way back. His parents died before he his 4th birthday, and he has no siblings or extended family. It was just him. He lived in an orphanage, but not one adult supported him in the way he needed. Only food and water is not raising a child, and he barely even received the necessities. Being 18, he had just begun working in the mines too. He had already lost a few friends this way. Nothing in his life went as he planned, and he hated the entire world for it. Mostly Panem.
In District 1, 16 female volunteers stood on stage. All very beatiful, and over dressed. District 1 always was, considering its production of jewellery and fashion and other luxury items.
"For our female volunteer, we have," the female escort says. Compared to the dressing up of the District 1 females, the escort seemed like a District 11 citizen. She felt underdressed, but it was always a tradition in District 1 (and recently District 2) to present themselves in the volunteer process, almost as if it was a sacrifice, as a savage tribe would sacrifice the cute, rare, blonde haired girl. Most of the girls were actually blonde, as well as the boys. It was a genetic normality in District 1.
"GLITTER SUN!"
One girl bounced across the stage in the elation of being selected. Her dress was incredibly short and... revealing. Glitter was 'the flirt' of the candidate this year. Every 18-year-old girl complained exceptionally hard as this was their last opportunity to be chosen, and one girl purposefully tripped Glitter up.
"You want to do that again, bitch?" Glitter spits.
"I'll kick you're ass to District 12!" The other girl laughs until it ends in a wrestle on stage. For some reason, this was an average reaping in District 1. Too many loud mouth teenagers. After about 10 seconds, the peacekeepers finally broke the fight up.
"See, they don't want to damage the chosen one," Glitter sniggers spitefully, taking her place on stage.
"Now that's dealt with, DIAMOND HORRISON!"
This boy was a little younger than Glitter, around 16 years old. He was still a good volunteer, however. He had trained, hence why he was a volunteer. But like District 2, District 1 have personal arena trainer's (P.A.T's). Diamond would rather not enter The Hunger Games hey may still be a career but he's smart enough to realise that still 5/6 of the careers die. That's if a career is triumphant at all. But, it was not up to him, it was up to his P.A.T., and his P.A.T. had volunteered him. Everyone was glad he was chosen; the crowd cheered! People thought he was going to save their District 1, maybe even be the mayor! Make it something great like Panem. 'That's silly' Diamond would think. He knew Panem would never let District 1 become any richer. However, Diamond liked Glitter. Most others thought she was a District 1 whore. There were jokes that she only volunteers so she can win and join Panem prostitution. But Diamond and Glitter were childhood friends, and he knew her before she became self-obsessed.
District 1: "I would like to thank our tributes, Glitter and Diamond,"

District 4: "for their honour and sacrifice to their district, despite the current Typhoid outbreak in this district,"

Yeah, your District seems pretty cool thus far opsloveKatherinee_ I thought it was cool on Wheaton's part to volunteer in that other kids' place, and Katherine seems like she'll be a lot of fun.
