I am a student at university studying creative writing. In my free time I like to write stories that involve other people’s created characters, just because I think it’s fun and challenges my writing . Please only submit a character if you like Stranger Things the show and will actually read and give me “constructive” criticism on my writing! Every so often, I will release an episode with all the characters in. Expect each episode to be about 3,000 words long, and roughly 8 episodes in the first season although this may change.
Side note for Stranger Things fans: This will be set in the same universe, but will not contain any characters from the show. I am a massive fan and will be writing true to the universe of upside down (as we know it so far, so if season 3 comes out and it somehow clashes with my version of the universe as I don’t know what the production is planning obviously, just live with it haha). This will be set in modern-day, which I think is a nice twist!
To submit a character, fill out the form below. Bare in mind, your characters will progressively develop from their initial design set by you as I see fit and as they progress through the story. You may submit a maximum of two characters, whether they are related or not is up to you. If you decide to create two characters, they both need their own character form filled out.
ALSO, next to each answer, please put a [X] next to Last Name and Age if you are giving me permission to possibly tweak this information to help fit the story. For example, if you say “Last Name: Wilson [X]” you are giving me permission to possibly change the last name of your character. An example of me wanting to do this is if I wanted to make your character part of a family and needed to change their last name.
Depending on how many people submit characters, not everyone’s characters may get chosen, so be creative and impress me! Your characters can be whatever you want them to be, as long as they are reasonable people you could imagine being in the Stranger Things universe.

Hey everyone! I'm hoping you all remember this series I started? It's been like half a year since there has been an episode and I just wanted to let you know what I happened.
I was finishing my last year of A-Levels around the time this was being written and it was a VERY stressful time- I was thinking about Uni and Work and all sorts of responsible things and I wasn't handling the stress very well. I decided not to go to Uni this year, but I'm going to go instead of this upcoming September. Because I'm no longer at School and I've had many months just to process my life and get rid of all the stress and stuff, I figured it'd be good if I get back to writing these episodes! Because I remember many people enjoyed them.
I used to love writing these but sometimes life just carries you in a different direction, but I'm back to give it another go! I know I can have a habit of disappearing but that was usually because of school stress XD so hopefully, it shouldn't happen again. And because I want to do creative writing at Uni next year it's best I get into practice at writing again and doing what I love!
What I intend to do is refresh my memory of all the characters and what's happened so far in the story, tidy up some of the episodes I've already written and then write all the episodes for season 1 up to the mid-season finale. Then every other day or so, I'll publish all the episodes I've written (Should be around 6 or 7 for the first half of season 1) in like 1 large chunk. That way I can leave you all hanging on the mid-season finale like many shows do. Then I'll write all of the second half of the season, then publish them all once I've finished the season. Then onto season 2, so on, etc.
If you've read my walking dead stuff, it's going to be similar but just a little more intense. There wont be as many deaths but there will be occasional main character deaths to enhance the story, but im hoping the rarer deaths will make it more emotional or intriguing when it does happen. Also, I've tried to think of more in depth storylines- rather than feeding all the information at once, you learn as you go along instead, like a mystery drama or something, to keep things interesting. Also, I want to include more character development so you can watch the characters you've submitted tranform and changes as the story progresses.
I hope you'd all be interested in reading again? Sorry I always dissapear XD. But I have so many good plans for this series.
I'd appreciated if you commented responding to this update! Also, when I do republish episodes 1 2 and 3 again, I'd recommend reading them as they are slightly altered so the story makes more sense.
