This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.
#39 - Now & Later - Sage the Gemini
Okay, the song originally was released in October of 2016, but the video didn't drop until December 2016 and didn't peak on the charts until February of 2017, so I'm counting it. Now that that's out of the way, this was a song that I thought was just fun to listen to, though I imagine not too many people here liked it, but it sounded like he had a lot of fun in writing and recording the song. Now, I didn't know much of anything featuring Sage the Gemini other than "Gas Pedal" prior to the release of this song and so I had virtually no opinion of him, and I know that using candy as a euphemism in songs about sex isn't exactly the most novel of ideas, however it's just more fun in this songs than others that I've heard in the past. This is just a song that any time its on I find myself singing along with him or whistling the instrumentation behind it. Shockingly, this song only peaked at #93 on the Billboard Hot 100, whereas I'd have expected it to perform much better on the charts, seeing the trends of the last few years of which songs become the most popular. This is a song that always just puts me in a good mood, and I'm glad to now have it in my playlists for that reason.
Hint for #38 - Another collaboration featuring a couple of artists that have already appeared on this list in a different collaboration, this one just had more fun and I think is going to stick around for me personally.
