You can donate 10 million to charity, you can treat everyone with kindness and respect, you can adopt a whole group of orphans, you can find a cure for cancer, you can feed the homeless but none of that will get you into Heaven. Yes, it's good to do these things but good deeds alone aren't enough. We are saved by faith, not works. We are all sinners who deserve hellfire and no amount of good deeds can erase our sin. That's why we needed Jesus to be our sacrifice on the cross. He is sinless and paid the price we never could. He could've ended it at any moment but He decided to stay on the cross to save us. So we thank Him with our faith and THAT is when we're saved. Good fruit is the RESULT of our salvation.
