Back in 1692 Andover Mass was home to some of the infamous Salem witch trials, during the trials there were rumors that a witch and her husband lived in the woods, members of the town fled the woods in search of the witch, they searched late into the night until they found a small cabin as they approached they could hear a old lady laugh though it was more of a cackle, they got closer and could make out a lady in a chair rocking on the porch. "I know why youre here" she said. "Then dont put up a fight" replied the Mayor. The witch did not respond but rather stood up looked at them and smiled then vanished. Outraged, and thinking that she must be somewhere in the cabin they lit it on fire as the fire grew the mob became more and more satisfied. Little did they know the witches husband was inside, he did not make it out alive, as he burned to death.
Flash forward 300 years to 1992 the town was holding its annual celebration for burning the cabin in the woods, still thinking they killed the witch. A couple of teens thought itd be a great idea to go in the very same woods to try to find the area where the witches cabin had burned down, there were rumors that the witch didnt die others say of course she did, the teens wanted to find out. They walk and walk until they see a very old looking cabin, this cant be they thought, they go to investigate flashlights in hand they search the house finding nothing, it looked abandoned like nobody had been there in 300 years as they were leaving one stumbled upon a book.... A book for witch craft. Then for seemingly no reason their flash lights go off. Then they hear an old lady start to talk "I know why you are here" she said "If you wish to live you will leave and go back to town and never speak of me again" "Okay we'll go" said the teens. "Theres only one thing" replied the witch "You may not use your flashlights or scream because every time you do they get closer and when they get too close you die" "Why are you doing this?"
