Brad is a former NFL football player and a castaway from Survivor: Blood vs. Water. He appeared on the season alongside his wife, Monica Culpepper of One World. He was on a different tribe than his wife, finding himself on the Tadhana tribe.
Brad immediately took charge of the Tadhana tribe and formed an alliance with the other men on his tribe (John, Caleb, Hayden) plus Ciera. His poor leadership led Tadhana to win the first several challenges. As revenge for her voting for him at the first impression vote, along with her uncle's reaction at the immunity challenge, Brad led the vote out of Marissa at the first Tribal. He then led the charge against Rachel, in an attempt to weaken Tyson. Brad's actions had repercussions, with people like Tyson angry at him, and Marissa telling him "Fuck you Brad Culpepper". Fearing John's loyalty to Candice, he sent him to Redemption Island alongside Candice, causing the Fuck You Brad Culpepper movement to gain friction. Others tried to weaken Monica by giving her Idol clues, but Brad told her to burn them, which Monica complied with.
Because of his awful leadership and tyrannical rule, his own alliance turned against him and blindsided him early on on Day 10, sending him to compete against Candice and John at Redemption Island. He and John beat Candice. With the returnees sending Laura Morrett to Redemption as a ringer to take out Brad, Brad was defeated when both John and Laura beat him at his second duel, sending him home Day 14.
After Survivor, he was sued by his insurance company, whom Brad claimed he was 89% disabled, but the insurance company cited his performance on Survivor as evidence he was not disabled. He and Monica originally applied for The Amazing Race, but casting told them to try Survivor instead - they were more interested in Monica, although he was considered (and cut) from One World, while she was chosen instead. He was one of 32 people offered a spot on Survivor: Cambodia, but the public didn't want to see him, so they didn't vote him in. Going against public opinion, Brad will return to Survivor next Spring for Survivor 34 (Survivor: Game Changers - The Mamanuca Islands). One of 5 NFL players to play the game, he is the first to return to the game, after cementing an early villain edit during BvW.
