Admir - Hello - Evanescence - I wasn't planning on doing such an analysis, but i'd never heard this song so i went to genius lyrics to look while i listened and holy shit for such a song with so few lyrics its so good and powerful with her voice so pure and... almost haunting? About her sisters death... oof. Honestly I could just put all of them because they are so well written but if I had to choose i'd pick "I'm the lie living for you so you can hide / Don't cry" because honestly sometimes i feel like i gotta lie to myself so i don't cry so it just hits home
disneygeek - World's Smallest Violin - Honestly...i don't like this style of music. But the lyrics themselves are pretty good and I can relate to them very much. My favorite lyric of the song is "Somewhere in the universe / Somewhere someone's got it worse /Wish that made it easier / Wish I didn't feel the hurt." I literally felt like this last week when i was gonna go vent to a buddy of mine that just had a baby and they are bout to ship him off in the military somewhere. and im just like damn. my shit really isn't that bad. but it still hurts even when trying to put it into perspective
mrkk - Cardigan - Taylor Swift - Personally Folklore is my least fave t-swift album. i prefer evermore. but this one is definitely top of the list of the songs from evermore. my favorite lines from this song are "But I knew you'd linger like a tattoo kiss / I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs / / I knew I'd curse you for the longest time / Chasin' shadows in the grocery line." I feel like when you lose someone really important to you, romantically or not, they have a long lasting impact on your life. And you'll see them everyday in different things, and sometimes your mind going out of the way to try to see things that remind you of them when something isnt even really there. I know i'm a person that gets stuck in my mind of what ifs and gets stuck up on people. so yeah
titoburitto - Tolerate It - Taylor Swift - I love evermore so much. I remember the first time I listened through and heard this song and it paints such a clear story and the lyrics are so incredibly good and powerful. my favorite one from this song is "I made you my temple, my mural, my sky / Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life." Like oh my GOD. just the way you can literally make someone your world, and you feel like you mean nothing to them in comparison. I've felt like that a lot and the line just hits home. its so good
