Tim and Beck’s Music Time Machine - Episode..

We are back with the results. Unfortunately, Becksta20 and I weren’t completely satisfied with our return to the present. As we move forward, we both encourage you all to dig deep and find songs that you love that you think will really impress us. Here are the comments.
lukesurvives: You Don’t Own Me by Saygrace ft. G-Eazy
T: Nice song. G-Eazy isn’t my favorite rapper, but I did enjoy her voice. Had a nice sultry feel to it.
B: This is a good remake of an old song and they bring it alive together. Good choice!
valgarfield: I’m Ready by Sam Smith and Demi Lovato
T: I find this song to be kind of boring. The chorus is extremely underwhelming, and overall, I don’t feel like this song really builds up to anything.
B: I do like Sam Smith’s voice and this is a sweet song! Demi brings a good change of pace in the song too. Good pick!
vanitysmurf: I’ll Find You by Lecrae ft. Tori Kelly
T: Is it bad that I kind of think this is a waste of Tori Kelly? She’s such a great singer! The beat wasn’t my favorite, but I liked the lyrics and did enjoy the song overall.
B: This is a great song! I really enjoyed it and the contrast with the two singers is awesome.
galaxies: Love Me Harder by Ariana Grande and The Weeknd
T: I’m not the biggest Ari fan, and I really don’t enjoy The Weeknd very much so unfortunately this wasn’t my cup of tea. She’s a great singer, and I don’t think this song showcases much of that. The beat is pretty cool though.
B: I like this mix of voices and like singing along to this song. It’s not my fave collab with The Weeknd but he does have a lot of great songs!
Chels052_: Head Up by Don Diablo ft. James Newman
T: While I’m not the biggest fan of EDM, I do appreciate how fun and dynamic the track is. I don’t really vibe with the singer’s voice, but that’s not what this type of music is about.
B: I really did enjoy this one. It was definitely upbeat and not too overpowering which was nice.

T: Definitely my favorite Demi song of the round. I thought these two really were in synch and complemented each other well.
B: oh I really like this song and those voices together are so good!

T: This song really didn’t work for me. The two singers never really came together, and it just didn’t sound like a cohesive song.
B: I’m not sure if I just listened to two songs playing over each other but I was not a fan, sorry Cherry! The voices of each artist are good but I couldn’t enjoy it with the overlay
