Bio: Holt has a shinning charisma that makes most people instantly drawn to him, however his annoying mannerisms quickly change this. Holt's attention span is below minimal. He'll constantly leave conversations to talk to someone new who walked in, or frequently leaves to grab more drinks. His excuse is he's "a busy guy," but he's always surrounding himself with a new situation to complain about. Colt's sexuality more-so goes in terms of him being "adventurous" rather than dating everyone and anyone. He rarely has serious relationships with either gender.

Mainly he is known for being the "face" of the company. He is very good at shaking hands, making friends and new connections, however it's his father that truly keeps their fortune afloat. Holt is more concerned with his island and spending loads amount on new trial equipment. His father doesn't like how much time and resources Holt spends on the island, but it's his son's only real joy.

He's hosted the "Paradise Island Trials" for 5 years now. Going into his 6th trial, Holt wanted to bring some more flair to the competition. He opened the island to it's biggest group of visitors with the biggest prize yet being rewarded to the player at the end.

Bio: Boomer is a sweet and completely clueless pothead. The most polished part of Boomer is his downstem, but he doesn't care one bit. What he lacks in skill or wit he makes up for with kindness and enthusiasm. Although Boomer tries to take the easy way out, he does try very hard in a lot of things. Unfortunately he can never quite do it right.

He skimmed through high school and skipped college (as of now at least). He's usually confused or not listening, dreaming of being somewhere else. This falls into the reasoning of why he hasn't ever had a serious girlfriend. Most of the time he doesn't realize he's being rude. Boomer would throw himself in front of a truck for someone, as long as that truck wasn't... You know... Too far away.

Boomer finally saved up enough money, with some other money he got "questionably" to afford a ticket to Paradise Island. He is the first uninvited person allowed to attend with a little bit of begging and bribery.
Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Boomer wants to complete the trails to be allowed to live on the island. He's worked hard (enough) and would love an easy pass through the rest of life. Paradise life would be a dream. For Boomer, the whole island will be his grow-op

Bio: Livie is a very reserved character. She's extremely straight to the point and rough around the edges. She doesn't necessarily mean to be a bitch, but she isn't apologizing for it either. Her people skills are to be desired, but she surprisingly keeps the staff inline for her young age.

It is a shock that Livie was given this job so young, especially since Holt never looks at Livie in a sexual manner. Besides being young and perky(ish), what possible set of skills could Livie have that Holt would rather give her the job over anyone else? Regardless of her age, Livie does her job well and stays out of everyones way. But why is she always sneaking off?

Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: She is merely an assistant and bystander to the trial, not a player. But if she was competing, she would go for the cash prize. She couldn't stand living on the Island with Holt forever.

Character Name: Naya Cooper

Bio: Naya was born in a small one bedroom apartment in Los Angeles raised by her mother and father who have worked to give her and her four younger brothers a good life but circumstances just didn't work out for them. Naya was 9 before they finally found a house big enough for their family. She grew up knowing that if things were going to be better, she had to work twice as hard as the kids around her. She threw herself into her grades and extra curricular, barely making time for her social life.

Her family suffered too. Her father died in the middle of her third year as an undergrad and Naya only arrived the day of the funeral. She still hates herself for that and she knows her brothers resent her but Naya trusts she's doing it for the right reason. Her degree and her job, those allow her to give them a better life. She's fine with that.

Naya has worked her way up from the bottom since High School to get stuck. She's been in her job a year and already she feels herself slipping, stuck in the same patterns she's worked to break out of. Naya is hungry for success and she won't stop until she gets it.

Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Naya is hungry for the chance to decide her own fate. She's tired of other people choosing for her and telling her what she's worth.

With this change Bethy became more confident in herself and her looks using them to her advantage. At her job she is a popular member of the company among the workers which she loves since she is finally getting the attention she so desperately has wanted all her life.
Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Bethy wants to compete for the money so she can have money and attention which to her are the 2 things that are gonna make her happy for the rest of her life.

Born and raised in a big city with her sister, Jade, Raven learned just how unfair life could be. They had barely any money since it was just the two of them and their grandmother, but they learned to scrape by creatively. Raven started taking art commissions at a young age, using that money to buy extra groceries and clothes for her family. She often wished life was a little more fun, like in the movies.
Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Raven's after the money, simple as that. She knows it could help her live a better life and it would help her family live a better life as well.

Alex hasn't fully achieved his true goals in life yet, but he's getting there. His daytime job as a cashier provides a steady income and he continues to work to achieve his dream as an author. He knows that eventually the perfect story will fall into his lap, and finally he'll be able to take off.
Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Alex is curious about the mystery of Paradise Island. It would be difficult for anybody with his creative capacity to resist this opportunity.

For as long as she can recall the woman had to put aside her own dreams and hungers for that of another. First it was her husband, urging her to leave behind her budding career in favor of being a mother--something Vivienne has never admitted aloud to regretting. The birth of her two children should've filled her life with purpose and meaning and for some time it truly did. But as the years went by and her children became adults she found herself feeling empty. What had she accomplished? What would she be remembered for when her time came?

In more recent years Vivienne has found herself picking up where she left off, reclaiming her lost time and rekindling her ambitions.  No longer bending to the whims of her children or that of her waning husband, she is determined to make the most of her life before society deems her of no further use.
Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: She's no need for the money, but wants to prove her own capability. To show she's more then a mother, a wife, or simply a one note woman-- but a fully capable human being.

Bio: Abeer was born in India and moved to England with his parents at the age of 8. He was a high academic achiever at school and found a passion for writing not long after. Despite excelling in science and math classes, Abeer chose to pursue a career as a writer, much to the dismay of his family.

He started small, winning some accolades for his short stories and novellas that he entered into competitions for measly cash prizes. It became clear that Abeer didn't always love the spotlight and the praise - especially when it became about him and his heritage, rather than the words on the page. After doing some research, he decided he liked the idea of being a ghost writer, and was hired by a well-known publishing agency. At first he was commissioned to write teen fiction, but eventually he climbed the ghostly ladder and began writing horror and non-fiction for much more high profile writers and celebrities.

Abeer met his husband four years ago, and there seemed to be an instant connection. He would always pay for meals and buy nice gifts, and it wasn't long before Abeer realised, his new man had a lot of money... and I mean A LOT! The two lovebirds got married and Abeer was no longer living paycheck to paycheck. He was living a life of luxury, with all the things that money could buy. Things have turned very sour recently though, and Abeer still hasn't managed to work up the courage to get himself out. He was meant to file for divorce months ago, but it's just... you know... not easy to leave behind the life he has. He already crushed his family's spirit by marrying a man, and a divorce would just prove them all right.

Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Abeer wants to leave his husband, but he is afraid he will lose everything in the divorce. If he could complete these trials and win the cash prize, he would take the money and run. He's not ready to give up the millionaire life style.

At the age of seventeen, Spencer went through proceedings to officially remove himself from the system figuring he would never truly feel included with a family, finding summer work as a lifeguard at the local beach to support himself until everything was in place for state checks to start coming in. Spencer has heard various stories from fellow patrons about Paradise Island, but never fully believed them until mysteriously receiving an invitation through the mail. Why does your character want to/need to complete these trials: Spencer feels he’s taken long enough of a break from school and wants to earn his degree in restaurant management, but needs the proper funds first to pay for tuition, books, etc. He also wants to prove the history of his past only motivates him more to trudge forward and never give up.
