For this photo, what I try to refer to are scenes from movies where we get to know more about a villain's past, more precisely when he starts to realize that he is no longer going down the path of being the good guy in history.

There is a phrase that says "before loving someone, you must learn to love yourself first", and well, why not take the literal of that phrase and bring The Myth of Narcissus as a theme.

It represents a strong symbol of vanity. Being one of the most cited mythological characters in the areas of psychology, philosophy, lyrics, visual arts and literature.

According to legend, Narcissus was born in the Greek region of Boeotia. He was very beautiful and when one of the oracles, named Tiresias, was born, he said that Narcissus would be very attractive and that he would have a very long life. However, he should not admire his beauty, nay, see his face, as that would curse his life.

In addition to having a stunning beauty, which attracted the attention of many people, Narcissus was arrogant and proud. And instead of falling in love with other people who admired him, he fell in love with his own image when he saw it reflected in a lake.

With excessive love for herself and over belittling the nymph Echo, she cast a spell on Narcissus, who was wasting away until he died in the riverbed. With his death, the beautiful young man was transformed into a flower.

"Unique" to me means something striking and that stands out in the middle of ordinary things. Anja Rubik is bringing a photo that demonstrates a duality between glamor and natural, evidenced by the look and luxury restaurant, but with her holding the food with her hands, as if it were something natural, which would certainly be something shocking in the environment.

I believe that the happy person is the one who uses what he wants, wherever he wants. This definition fits the concept of "Fearless" and is what I am demonstrating in my photo. Exotic place, sand, black, boots and feathers. Nothing fits, but I feel beautiful, fearless, and powerful. That's what fashion means to me.

My photo today is based on the first part of Taylor Swift's "Fearless," where she's clearly in love and observing brightness and color everywhere because of the love she's living. I am translating this song in my look and in my photo pose, demonstrating to be involved with the romance I am living. The chosen clothing has a neutral and light tone, in order to match the nights of European cities, perfect for romantic encounters.

Love to me is about something pure and vulnerable.

In this photo I am embodying vulnerability with my pose which showcases somebody who is a little fearful of love and what possibilities could happen and the butterfly represents something pure- the symbol of hope that love will prevail.

The atmosphere around me is also dark to represent the unknowing nature of love- you never know what it could hold, while the pinks of my outfit and makeup is a traditional color to represent love but it also to me represents the love in which is the most pure and proudest. The undying love that will eventually prosper after prevailing through what could be unnerving.

I wanted to convey that no matter how many people/hands try to block my way to the top, I will always be staring upward, with my chin up, not looking down upon myself. That's how fearless I am in the face of many people wishing to  tear me down.

This photo really gives me seductress ready to go out for “date night in a European country”…very much that! The gold gown signifies prize and winning as I’m the prize and I’m about to win over the man I’m going on a date with. I also have my eyes closed, body swaying, picturing my man with me in the moment.

Hello Models!! I am honored to be back judging such an exciting and anticipated challenge! Lets get into the critiques:

Jackson Yee - I love greek mythology and I love your perspective on how love can be selfish and have a narcissistic element to it. I think the photograph itself is very graceful and beautiful. You look astonishing. I do think you might’ve diverged a bit from the simplicity of the brand. I would’ve loved to see more romance within your picture or at least for you to capture that feeling within your pose or styling of the photo.

Anja Rubik - This is such a glamorous shot which I love. I certainly see what you are going for here and I think it’s captures the romance aspect in my brand. It’s giving a Marilyn Monroe vibe which is the epitome of sexual revolution. I think  the styling of this photograph might be a bit too sexualized and provocative with just the trench coat on. However, I do think this is a strong shot and your body and pose looks gorgeous.

Liu Wen - I think your take on LIEFDE is quite interesting between the dark and light in this photo. On one end, you are capturing the purity and feministic qualities of love. There is an ease and poise in your pose that is quite captivating. Being surrounded by darkness can also be reminiscent of the dark side of love which is like that you pointed out. Overall this is a symbolic way to showcase love.

V - What better way to showcase love and romance than do be styled in a red suit? This photo is ravishing. It screams romance, elegance, and decorum. I do think this photo is simple, however simple works. The background of the restaurant, and the wine in your hand adds a nice touch to the photo that gives it a bit of background. You did a great job showcasing your interpretation.

Rianne Van Rompaey - This photo definitely taps into “date night in an European country” the most. I love the styling and the dress is radiant. You look very expensive and enthralling. I love the pop of red in the background, it just brings the idea of romance back into the picture. Your pose is definitely a bit off for me. I think the pose would’ve been more effective as a head on shot.

I think you all did well and represented your idea of romance and love very well.. however, I only booked 3/5 models that I think portrayed my brand, LIEFDE most effectively.

Hello Models! I just wanted to let you all know that these photos are all incredible and you should all be very proud!

Let's start with some critiques:

Jackson- I REALLY enjoy the dynamics of the photo. I like that when you saw the prompt, you didn't go for this weird distorted angle and went for a more outside of the box approach. I very much appreciate that and I think it shows in this shot how well your vision came to fruition. Great job!

Anja- This is so weird and interesting and I love it so much. From the dark eye make up that really highlights your facial expression, to the weirdness of every single other thing that is going on in the photo. It's all incredible. Great job!

Lui- I think this shot is really really really well done. You look almost ethereal in it and it's different in it's own special way. The only thing I dislike on it is the burnt affect to the edges. I wish I could see the picture as a whole. Other than that, Good Job!

V- This is another shot that I think is incredible. I think that the pose is insane, in the best ways, and I think that you really went there with it. My issue is the black and white makes it a bit toneless and I lose the vividness of the photo I was hoping for. But nonetheless, great job!

Rianne- This shot is REALLY REALLY cool. I love the futuristic vibe of it and I think that your posing in it is really amazing. One thing that is bugging me just a bit, is that in the photo, it looks like the outfit is wearing you as opposed to you wearing the outfit. I really enjoy the shot, but I do have some concerns with that.

After looking at all 5 photos, I can just say one thing and that as someone who has been in your shoes, you all killed it. I can tell you put your all into this challenge and your hard work shows. Just because I don't choose a certain amount of you, does not mean that I didn't like it or that you aren't worthy of it, it just means that I liked others photos better. You all deserve your spots here and I'm so glad to see you all shine.
