"Garrett Neff"

https://media.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExNzU0YmFhM2U4OWNkNWM1NjVlYzk5MDQ5OTk2ZDY3ZGEwYWY1NWY4ZSZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZzX2dpZklkJmN0PWc/kgZ6pUCiHgEhNYabuz/giphy.gif

Hello Top 10, welcome to your fourth photoshoot. For this week, we are doing a tribute to the winner of the series with the most nos. of panel attended, he's been on the panel since winning the Next Top Model Cycle 12: Breaking Boundaries, and he is Garrett Neff.

Garrett: "This very challenge was one I won and made history while winning to become the first model in NTM history to win three challenges back to back to back, and with that win, I punched my ticket to the final. I want you to present a photo that shows your advocacy (Ex: Equal Rights, LGBTQ+, in my case, Animals/Environment, etc.) Garrett is a Delaware native; he and his family would gather at Katama Bay, off the coast of Massachusetts, each summer. Garrett is an international advocate for change in policy and action to protect our oceans—and keep them clean. I challenge each of you to think outside the box and put much thought into your photo and explanation by presenting something symbolic. If you give me an average picture and description, it will result in an average score."

For today's photoshoot you'll be fighting for your advocacies. I will post a few samples below throughout the season's best shots.

24 hours to do the photoshoot. Thank you and good luck! x

Some examples throughout the season:

1.) Naty Chabanenko - Fighting against Animal Cruelty
https://imgur.com/GSmI6J4
Explanation: "Something I am most passionate about is standing up against animal cruelty most specifically the wildlife in Zoo’s & being kept as personal pets in homes.  All across the world there are more than 600,000 birds and mammals kept in the world's zoos. And not just that Tigers are being sold then bred and kept in cages all over the world for money and it is disgusting. If I could stop this insanity I would give up my entire being to do so.

In my shot for this challenging photoshoot I am out in the wild but also locked in a cage I daydream of one day being able to permanently feel the sun on my skin, Drink water from the rivers, feel the wind beneath my wings.. All I want to do is get out and be free like god had imagined for all of his animals to be. Please…. Just let me go!!"

2.) Garrett Neff - Advocate for change in policy and action to protect the oceans

3.) Madison Beer - Advocate for Women Empowerment
http://cdn01.cdn.justjaredjr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/madison-euphoria/madison-beer-euphoria-magazine-feature-03.jpg
Explanation: "I am a HUGE support of the Women Empowerment  movement. Through my modeling and singing career, I’ve been very comfortable with my sexuality and showing off my body. I’ve always been criticized for this, saying it takes away from my singing career or that im basically  porn model. To me, my sexuality empowers me...i feel sexy & free. But that’s not every woman's path. Some feel sexy and confident when they study or ace a test. This photo shoot I wanted to portray the different type of women and highlight on the aspects that make them feel confident and strong. I am wearing my go go boots to portray the women that perform, strip, use their sexuality to feel confident. My outfit is a long lab coat type of deal so this is for all the women that use academia or even modesty to empower themselves."

Doja Cat: Advocating for Sexual Liberation

https://www.designscene.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Variety-Magazine-Doja-Cat-Grammys-Issue-1.jpg

You can reciprocate
I got delicious taste
You need a woman's touch in your place
Just protect her and keep her safe
Baby, worship my hips and waist
So feminine with grace
I touch your soul when you hear me say
"Boy, let me be your woman"

For this week’s photoshoot I am advocating for sexual liberation amongst women and fem presenting individuals. The world has this twisted perception that we cannot be sexually explicit but exploited unlike our male and masc presenting counterparts. We are suppose to submissive and week is sexual manners. We have double standards in sex such as, body counts, and kinks. A man gets glorified for his sexual ventures, while women get slut shamed for it. It needs to change. In this photo, I am serving sex in a dominant, sexy and take charge moment. I want it and I want it now and how I want it…BITCH!!!!

~Advocate for preservation of vegetation on the beach
Link: https://imgur.com/a/mj3TRwN

Anja Rubik has always been a woman willing to stand up for her beliefs and what she thinks is right. In addition, I have always been a person passionate about the beaches and the entire ecosystem that surrounds it, from vegetation, water, to animals. So, in today's theme, I would like to represent the struggle for the preservation of the beaches and the vegetation is around it.

In my shot for this challenging photoshoot, my goal is to show the beauty of the beach, but at the same time, how sad it is to see it with little vegetation around, leaving an aspect of emptiness in the place. I am using colors that blend with the coloring of the environment, that is, light tones, such as yellow and beige with white. My clothes and hair are simple, which was a main choice for me, because it represents well the personality of Anja and how well she looks with simple things.

Explanation: the "restinga" is a coastal ecosystem, associated with the Atlantic Forest biome, which occurs along coastal areas, and is fundamental for the environmental balance and protection of the beaches. In addition to being an ecosystem rich in endemic species of fauna and flora, the restingas exert a series of socio-environmental functions, among them the fixation of coastal dunes, protecting the coast from erosive events of waves and tides. The vegetation acts as a physical barrier, but also provides and fixes sediments that assist in the recovery of beaches and the formation of waves and sandbars. They also have ornamental and landscape value, contributing to contemplative tourism."

Advocate of the ecology of the environment

●▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●●▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●●▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●

Many of us don't take the time to appreciate the environment that we live in. Put down the cellphones. Get off of the computers. Go out and explore this beautiful planet that is home to not just us humans, but many organisms, animals, and foliage.

●▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●●▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●●▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●

I am the founder of the Cedar Coast Field Station.

The vision of the Cedar Coast Field Station is to preserve ecological health through place-based research and education that celebrates the cultural and biological diversity of Clayoquot Sound.

Raised on a forested acreage on Hornby Island, B.C., I developed a strong connection to the ecology of the west coast from a young age. At age 17 I moved to New York City to pursue a career in advertising, while attending interdisciplinary classes at Hunter College. After 5 years in NYC I moved to an off-grid boat access property on Vargas Island, where I developed the idea for an ecological field station in Clayoquot Sound. Refining this idea became the focus of my education at Quest University Canada, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science in 2017.

Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy

Today I choose to be an advocate for victims and survivors of sexual assault. My picture demonstrates a person who was sexually assaulted holding on to a phone! The message I want to convey through this is “ Share your story” Let  your voice be heard and don’t be afraid to tell your story! Your story can save another person or encourage another victim to come forward. Together we can make the world a safer place!

1st photo - Advocating for Mental Health

A person's Mental Health is related to how he reacts to life's demands and how he harmonizes his desires, capabilities, ambitions, ideas and emotions. Having mental health is: Being well with yourself and others. Accept the demands of life.
In this specific photo, the straw doll represents these setbacks and the pose I find myself in represents this acceptance and the knowledge of living with adversity without losing control.

2nd photo - Advocating for Homeless Animals

Personally, I love animals and am totally in favor of adopting a homeless animal instead of buying one.
For this photo I'm posing with a kitten from a foster home that was rejected for not being the prettiest and hairiest in existence, showing that not only him but everyone deserves to find their someone/home.

🧵Advocate for the Recycling of Clothing🧵

Recycling unwanted clothes has many benefits and I’d like to outline those benefits for you below.

Disposing of items of clothing takes up landfill space, producing greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change. Therefore recycling clothing may not only prevent those greenhouse gases from being emitted, but also lessens the need for newly manufactured clothes, effectively cutting down on the environmental damage involved in the textile manufacturing process.

The production of clothing uses a huge amount of water and energy every day from different industries and these processes are hugely damaging to our environment. By recycling, we can save energy by eliminating the need to make materials from scratch. On average it takes about 1,900 gallons of water to make one pair of jeans, water that could go to help those in need of it. Simply, when you choose to recycle clothing you are playing a huge role in reducing the impact of the fast fashion industry.

In my photo for today’s shoot I am showing you the abundance of clothing that gets thrown in the trash each and everyday instead of being reused. I’m stuck in the middle of all these waste materials (clothes) in the landfill site and they are starting to swallow me up. Very soon this whole photo will be covered, even me, in waste materials (clothes) and greenhouse gases will begin to affect climate change. However, if everyone starts recycling and reusing clothing then our landfill sites will have more space and produce less greenhouse gases which will ultimately help to save the environment. Thank you!
