Wow… so much drama! I guess y’all are taking the theme literally.
Anyways, I’m so excited to see these photos. This is a theme I suggested to Jerard and it’s really inspired by all the injustices that have been put in the forefront by the US President and COVID. What I’m looking for the most this week is captivation, genuineness, passion, and a strong stance. Playing it safe this week with this theme just won’t cut it.
Jacob This is graphic, but it’s raw and effortlessly emotional. I think you do a great job of engaging people to feel for you and what you’re fighting for to be seen. You got me for sure. I think this is a great photo.
Ming Xi At first glance, I thought you could've went bolder, but I think that with your message about trying to "keep a straight face", this works well.
Naty I love this! You putting yourself in a cage is a great device to get people to even start thinking about how animals feel. I can tell that you’re a genuine advocate for animal rights. I think this is my favorite photo of yours this competition. Job well done.
Aline I think you look the part, but this photo doesn't really draw me in. You don't do enough to make me wanna jump on board with your cause. Overall good, but not captivating.
Fernanda Fernanda - Wow! This photo is an interesting twist on the photoshoot theme. You're showing how life CAN be for women if they felt safe. It makes that ideal future seem like a utopia and something worth fighting for. Great job.
Caroline Caroline, you look stunning! You're giving me Mary - Jesus's mother! I think there's such a beauty about you just being natural and candid in your native lands. Like a powerful "I exist and my people deserve to exist". Another great photo from you :).
Jason Your face is stunning!! You're embodying a drunk and like someone that needs help - badly.
Ajak
Breathtaking. You look so vulnerable and this would make for the perfect ad for BLM. Flawless photo.
Joan You look gorgeous and inspirational! Unfortunately, this is a recycled photo. One of the hardest parts about my cycle when I competed was finding a photo I didn’t recycle, especially as the competition went on. The fact that you did that this week is just not okay and unfair to the other models that took the time to research and make sure that their photo wasn’t a repeat. I’m docking you 2 points as reparations to the other models.
My top 3: Ajak, Naty, and Jacob
My bottom 2: Aline and Joan… what a turn of events.
